“I have lost hope,” Akin John Akamo, a bright young student of UNILAG (The University of Lagos) lamented. “I can’t afford even N500 for feeding. Just to eat, I am forced to beg – and the date to pay my school fees is tomorrow. Please, man of God – I need your help.” After losing his manual job, John had experienced tough times, his farmer parents in the village with no viable help to offer.

The Christ Embassy member and Accounting student, who was scheduled to pay his outstanding second year school fees the subsequent day, had mere stipends on his person. Almost resigning himself to the fate of a university drop-out, his last-gasp grasp for assistance led him to The Synagogue, Church of All Nations on Sunday 18th August, having witnessed the large heart and generous attitude of TB Joshua via Emmanuel TV.

“How much are the fees?” queried the Prophet. “N59 750 sir,” “Give him N100 000.” John gasped, the crowd roared – hope rekindled in a glorious split-second. “Whatever you receive here, it’s like you receive it from Christ Embassy,” explained Joshua. “It is God Almighty that gives money – the name does not matter.” Proceeding to counsel the beneficiary, Joshua exhorted him to be more committed and dedicated to Christian services within Christ Embassy, led by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome. “Go back to your ministry and worship God – we will be your prayer partner. Be in a department where you will be useful for the glory of God, and be more committed in your ministry.” Knowing his difficulty in feeding, three bags of rice were included in the gift.

The prior week, TB Joshua had given N300 000 to a poverty-stricken widow who attended the Roman Catholic church, his passion for the needy not dictated to or determined by any externally induced conditions. The majority of the beneficiaries of Joshua’s extensive charitable programs are not members of his church, a significant number not even Christians. “Your success and happiness depend on your willingness to help others solve their problems,” he said, explaining that Christians are to love first, irrespective of colour, culture, creed or class. “The secret of blessing,” according to the pastor, “is in giving.”

It is not that we have done anything right to be born in a season where we are blessed with Gods prophet in our midst but i would like to think that it takes Gods mighty grace not only to have such a chance but also to acknowledge him as one sent from above.

About a year ago I move in with my daughter when my grandson pass away from amassive Ahsama attack, because she needed me but during the time I was there, I notice a lot of thing naming the way my daughter’s husband treated her.     i just wanted to ask you to pray for me, i have always belived in our lord jesus christ, but now my faith has gone down because of all my problems, I was resently dissapointed by a man i loved so much, i was faith, kind and loving. i trusted God had given me this man to be my husband.
    I prayed to god that he should not let this man dissapoint me, my family loved him so much, he has always helped me in very way, but he recently married another woman, while he asked me to wait for him.
    Why is it that every time i ask god for something he never answers me, if he does it’s always a NO! ever since i was a child i have always had faith in Jehovah god, everytime i ask he never gives me what i have asked for.
    I have been asking for a husband for a while now, but he still has not aswered my prayers, every one i know keeps laughing at me for what has happened to me, the bible says in mathew 7:7 it reads ask and you shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and the door shall be opened unto you.
    But why is it that when i ask am not given. I would also love to say Jehovah you are faithful, knowing that he has fufilled his promise as my provider.
    He created marrige and he gives marriges but why not to me as well ?
    Most of my freinds all have husbands, if not they have stable relationships, we asked for the samething but my friends have been given but i have not been given, he has even taken the little i had, i dont even have a boyfriend.
    I prayed, i fasted, i belived,i offered. But in the end am worse than before.
    Why poster, my heart has been broken and am hurting so much, i have given up on praying because am never given what i ask for.
    I only wanted a husband, a good job and happiness, joy, love and peace, and every thing i have asked for comes from him, is this too much to ask for?
    even if God is testing me, for how long will i be tested? Ever since my childwood, i have always been tested, when will god finally give me what i ask for? for how long will i cry to him for the same thing?

    PLEASE PRAY FOR ME, AS I HAVE FOUND MYSELF IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION. I WAS ROBBED BY A TENANT RECENTLY, WHO LIVED HERE, HE WAS THE MOST AWFUL PERSON THAT EVER LIVED IN THIS HOUSE FOR 38 YEARS. I WAS DECEIVED BY HIM, AS HE PRESENTED HIMSELF FALSELY AS A “SELF-EMPLOYED” PAINTER/DECORATOR AND HAD A LOT OF CASH IN HIS POCKET TO PAY THE RENT AND DEPOSIT. HE WAS SO WELL DRESSED THAT I WAS ALMOST SUSPICIOUS THAT HE MIGHT BE SOME KIND OF CHARLATAN. BUT BEING THAT I BELIEVED THAT BEING POLISH BORN IN LONDON HE WOULD BE “A WORKER!” I THOUGHT THAT HE WOULD BE BUSY AT WORK. WELL, HE TURNED OUT TO BE A MONSTER, AND STANK OF URINE ALL THE TIME, AND URINATED IN THE TWO ROOMS HE HAD ALL THE TIME CLAIMING TO BE “INCONTINENT”, WHICH HE WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY, AND COULD HAVE REMEDIED THAT WITH PADS WHICH THEY GET HERE ON THE NATIONAL HEALTH FOR FREE. BY THE TIME HE PLAYED ALL HIS TRICKS, WITH THE COUNCIL PAYING HIS RENT, AS HE SAID THAT HE WAS GOING TO LOOK FOR ANOTHER SORT OR WORK, I WAS EXHAUSTED BY IT ALL. HE LIED AND DECEIVED EVERYONE, AND IT TURNED OUT THAT HE HAD BOASTED TO THE OTHER TENANTS THAT HE DID NOT WORK IN 20 YEARS AND THAT HE SIMPLY GOES TO THE INTERVIEW TOTALLY SMELLY WITH URINE ALL OVER, SO THAT THEY REFUSE TO TAKE HIM. IN THE MEANTIME I WAS TO DISCOVER THAT HE THIEVES ACTIVELY ALL DAY LONG. IT WAS TERRIBLE. I AM PRAYING HARD AS MY THINGS ARE GONE, WINTER CLOTHING ETC.

    I WENT TO A PSYCHOLOGIST AS A FRIEND OF MINE SAID TO GO DURING THIS TIME. THE LAWS IN ENGLAND ARE VERY PRO TENANT AND I HAD TO WAIT SEVEN MONTHS FOR THE COURT TO GIVE A DATE FOR HIM TO LEAVE MY HOUSE. IN THE MEANTIME HE DESTROYED ALL THAT HE COULD HERE, AND IT HAS COST ME A LOT OF MONEY TO REPAIR.

    THE PSYCHOLOGIST I WENT TO SEE WAS PROFESSIONAL BUT TURNED OUT TO BE A HOMOSEXUAL. I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THIS BUT JUST SAW HIM AS A PROFESSIONAL. I REGRET IT NOW, AS HE NEEDS SALVATION AND CAN HELP NO ONE IN HIS CONDITION AS HE IS, ALTHOUGH HE IS NOT VICIOUS, BUT DEFINITELY NOT A MAN OF GOD. I PRAY FOR HIS SALVATION. I PRAY FOR MY FINANCES ALSO, AND A NEW WAY OF LIFE. I CAN WRITE BOOKS BUT HAVE NO TIME, AS THIS HOUSE NEEDS A LOT OF ORGANIZING ALL THE TIME. I FEEL LIKE I HAVE BEEN ATTACKED BY STRONG DEMONIC FORCES WITH ALL THESE CIRCUMSTANCES – UNUSUAL CIRCUMSTANCES.
