John 1:14 says, “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

The unending love of God was shown to us when the Word became flesh to be a sin offering for us. It was through this Word that the promise and prophecies were fulfilled portraying the truthfulness and authenticity of God. This Word came to do the will of God, His Father.

We are who we are today because of this Word, Jesus Christ. We are filled with Joy because of God’s Son. This Jesus we celebrate is not just the Jesus of the story, history or songs but the Living Word Himself, the one whom the Holy Spirit reveals to us, the One who lives forever and has given us a life greater than ours. Our lives today are a testimony of this great and endless love, the love that provided Grace and revealed Truth to us that we might live for Him who made us.

Christians, in this season we are reminded of this Living Word. We are reminded of the endless love God has for us and has commanded us to show those around us. We are reminded to continue to remain in the Word just as the Word remains in us. We are reminded to obey this Word and live by it.

Prayer: Father, thank You for the gift of Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us to continue to obey and live for You, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
