You know you’re fighting the wrong battle when people become the enemy instead of the mission.
The Gospel is good news—righteousness given by Christ, made effective by the Holy Spirit. When we strive against people or use the pulpit to attack others, we must stop fighting the wrong battles. Scripture reminds us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces.
Our calling is not to condemn, but to proclaim Christ. When Jesus is lifted up, the Spirit does the work.

How do you know you are fighting the wrong battle? As Christians, we preach the Gospel, the good news. Jesus makes it happen; Jesus makes it work in the person of the Holy Spirit. The Gospel is the good news, the message of righteousness. So, by striving against people, by standing on the pulpit to speak against others – you are fighting the wrong battle. We are to battle the spiritual entities that cause tension in our spiritual lives.
It is not the physical appearance that is our enemy. We are not fighting the physical appearance that we are seeing. If we are not armed for battle, we will fight the wrong battle. If we are not armed for battle, we will not be able to listen to the inner voice of the Holy Spirit. You just need to apply yourself to your work and duty as a Christian soldier!
