What is the basis of your confidence in God? Is it the healing, deliverance or breakthrough that you are expecting or have already received? Or is your confidence in God rooted in a deep Father-child relationship, as was the case with the three Hebrew children in Daniel 3:16-18? This was the day’s sermon as given by Evangelist Chisom. Before the message, however, God’s people had spent quality time in worship, rendering many songs that acknowledged His unfathomable power. “There Is Nothing Like Your Presence, Lord,” they proclaimed. And as the sweet savour of their worship ascended to Heaven, the people witnessed an incredible outpouring of God’s Spirit in The Arena Of Liberty.

Evangelist Chisom took his readings from Jeremiah 17:7-8 and Daniel 3:16-18. He began by asking probing questions on the source of the people’s confidence in God. He urged them to realise that they could not base their confidence in God on what they receive from Him. Regarding the second reading, he noted that Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego had displayed implicit trust in God, hence their readiness to face the result of their step of faith. He pointed out that “their confidence in God was not based on the deliverance they were expecting to receive.” 

Citing Job’s example in steadfast faithfulness, Evangelist Chisom urged congregants to focus on building a truly filial relationship with God, that is, a father-child relationship that continues at all times regardless of circumstances. He reminded the people: “As a child, when you want something from your father at home, whether he gives you or not, you still acknowledge him to be your father.”

Accordingly, he urged the people to avoid complaining when they have yet to receive from God, since dissatisfaction and impatience could force them to seek alternatives “outside the church and outside the body of Christ.” As he concluded the message, he led the people to pledge in song: “I have decided to follow Jesus. Even in sickness, I will follow Jesus. Even in good health, I will follow Jesus. Even in hardship or in blessings, no turning back.”

Always Committed To Their Freedom

“It’s another precious day in His presence,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua told the people on joining them for the Prayer Line ministration.

The woman of God prayed: “Father Lord, we bless Your holy name. We thank You for Your presence in The Arena Of Liberty. Almighty God, we praise You that living in Your Word is so exciting. We thank You for Your love and care. Thank You for the lives of those who make each day special, wonderful in our lives. Father, we come to say, ‘Thank You, O Lord’.

Almighty God, we ask for forgiveness of sin. We call on You this morning, O Lord. Anything that could deprive us of your glory – sins of words, actions and thoughts – Father, sanctify us, purify us body, soul and spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ. Almighty God, You have committed Yourself to our freedom, to our healing, to our deliverance, to our all. Father, bring them to pass today, in the name of Jesus!”

After thanking God for the day’s testimonies, Pastor Evelyn Joshua encouraged those waiting for their own testimonies to persist in faith. She prayed for them: “God Almighty will hear your silent prayers and put an end to your burdens, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Commencing ministration at the Prayer Line, Pastor Evelyn Joshua broke into songs extolling the power of Jesus Christ. “Jesus, What A Wonder You Are!” she sang as she shared more words of comfort with the people.

Among those who received healing were cases of difficulty in walking, asthma, thigh fracture, and smoking/drinking addiction.

Pregnant women and others also stood on God’s promise in Isaiah 40:31.

Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists continued to minister healing and deliverance on those who had come from far and wide to seek God’s face. Among the cases were difficulty in urinating, hernia, heart problem, complications from sickle-cell anaemia, skin disease, thigh and leg ulcers, and swollen hands.

Others in the auditorium were equally effective witnesses of faith as power flowed from the Throne of Grace through God’s servants.

Furthermore, during the One-On-One session, the fire of the Holy Ghost tormented all stubborn demons out of the people’s bodies.

Their Day Of Encounter With Jesus Christ!

“Glory to God!” declared Evangelist Joseph at the start of the Mass Prayer session.

Evangelist Joseph charged the people to pray: “Lord Jesus, in Your mercy, contact my heart. Lord Jesus, liberate me. Lord Jesus, in Your mercy, touch me. You demon, you messenger of satan – anywhere you are, I command you: Out!”

Next to pray was Evangelist Ope, who told the people to declare: “You spirit of shame, you spirit of frustration operating in my life, in my family – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”

On his part, Evangelist James urged the people to proclaim: “You spirit of infirmity holding my life, holding my health – I command you in the name of Jesus, ‘Loose your grip!’ Whatever sickness in my body, in my bones, in my blood – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out!”

Evangelist Chisom: “You spirit operating in my life, in my business, causing me disappointment, causing me frustration – Out, in the name of Jesus!”

Taking over, Pastor Evelyn Joshua asked congregants to sing, “Liberate My Spirit!” She told them to remain in faith and see what joy the Lord would bring to them. She reminded the people, “Your prayers of yesterday are not lost.” She then asked them to say, “Lord God, I believe; help me to overcome my unbelief.”

The woman of God declared upon the people: “May your destiny helper locate you, in the name of Jesus Christ! May you never be found wanting on the day of your glory, of your honour, of your joy, in the name of Jesus!”

“Today is your day of encounter with Christ Jesus,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua assured the people before asking them to declare: “I receive my blessings, my healing, my deliverance!” She also prayed: “Every contrary spirit that is tormenting your life – we command it to leave, in the name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “Every familiar spirit that has been tormenting your life – begin to receive the presence of God! Holy Spirit, close the gap; bring Your children close! O Holy Spirit, deliver Your children, in the name of Jesus! Let there be light – light in your family! I release you, in the name of Jesus! Whatever spirit causing you nightmares – I curse them, in the name of Jesus! Whatever poison you must have eaten – Out, in the name of Jesus Christ! I separate you from that disease, sickness, infirmity! Be healed, in the name of Jesus!”

12 Years Later, Philip Testifies About His Deliverance From 30 Years Of Bed-wetting!

For a good 30 years, Philip faced the shame of bed-wetting – an affliction that had remained an unyielding source of misery and sadness for him as he trudged through life. Tried as he did to hide the problem while in secondary school, he got outed under the most embarrassing circumstance. At university, he also got exposed when he least expected it. “I knew a demon was behind my problem because my bed-wetting always came with a dream that also affected my performance in examinations,” he told the church on February 9, 2025. On one lucky day in 2013, however, Philip had visited The SCOAN for prayer, after being introduced to Emmanuel TV by a friend. “I was in the Overflow Section,” he said, “but the power of God impacted me as I felt hot flushes all over my body during the prayer session. That day he went home with the gift of the Anointing Water, which he continued to minister prayerfully on himself. Since that day 12 years ago, Philip has been freed from the problem of bed-wetting. “Distance is not a barrier; just connect to God’s Spirit in faith,” he advised others seeking divine help.

And The Lord Ended David’s Two Years Of Smoking Addiction!

For the last two years, David had been afflicted with the addiction of smoking. “A friend introduced me to smoking and I couldn’t stop myself, much as I tried,” he disclosed on February 9, 2025. The addiction brought other issues to the young man’s life. “I was rude to my parents and couldn’t eat until I had smoked,” he said. He also explained that he got his system flushed at a hospital. “But the flushing did nothing for me,” he revealed. However, on January 26, 2025, David stepped into freedom during the ministration of prayer in The SCOAN. Since then, he has lost all craving for smoking. “Move close to God,” he advised others on how to get rid of addiction and other issues.

“Could This Be True?” Asks Man Who Received The Incredible

In 2019 Godwin lost his mother, so he had to accompany her body to his father’s village for burial, somewhere in Nigeria’s Middle Belt region. “You are not returning to your mother’s village,” his father told him. After a while, however, Godwin disobeyed his father and returned to his mother’s village in the southwest of Nigeria. Following relentless calls by his father, Godwin returned to his paternal hometown. There, he participated in a football match. “The following morning, I began to feel severe pain on the left part of my body,” he told the church on February 9, 2025. The young man complained to his father, who took him to a witch doctor.

Godwin never got better, however. Days later, as he struggled with excruciating pain, Godwin was rushed to yet another witch doctor, who requested that he stay with him for treatment. Along the line, the man asked Godwin to fetch a snail in its natural habitat. For a fortnight, Godwin failed to find any snail – something that he ordinarily saw every day. Eventually, he stumbled on one during his continuous search. “I was told not to let anyone else see the snail until I had brought it to the witch doctor,” he continued. Godwin took the snail to the man, who asked him to eat it raw and uncleaned after removing it from its shell.

The witch doctor then prepared a concoction for Godwin. “You must drink it only with the snail’s shell,” he warned Godwin. “But I never got better after several weeks,” the ailing man recalled. Godwin then remembered The SCOAN. “Since 2017 I had known about The SCOAN when I went to work as a domestic help in a house where they used to watch Emmanuel TV,” he explained. Inspired by the healing of a wheelchair-bound man during prayer by Prophet TB Joshua, Godwin made every effort to come to the church. “I had been trying to come since 2023, but it was hard for me to raise the money,” he said.

Upon being impacted by God’s power during prayer ministration by the evangelists, Godwin witnessed the power of the living God work wonders in his body. “I stood up feeling no more pain,” he smiled. “Could this be true?” he kept asking himself, amazed at what had happened. Since then, he has been playing football and scoring goals – for the glory of God! He advised others to believe in God’s ability to solve all problems.

A Spectacular Family Deliverance!

Once the demons in Anthonia felt the fire of the Holy Spirit around them, they started to confess: “We wanted to kill her today. She asked her husband not to serve us. Why would she do that?” Minutes later, they gave up the fight on February 2, 2025. A week later, Anthonia returned for her testimony, along with her husband and children. She told of her many encounters with demonic forces in the dream. “I kept dreaming about dying, especially during one of my pregnancies,” she told the church. Anthonia told her husband about it. As a man of faith, he asked her to relax. “I will go to The Synagogue and the anointing will work for you,” he had assured her.

Although the nurses had tried to hide their panic as Anthonia lay on the maternity bed, she knew something was wrong. She asked for her bag. “I fetched the Anointing Water and ministered it prayerfully,” she said. “Within minutes, my baby came out without any surgery,” she said excitedly. But the demons pressed on afterwards, threatening to take her life. And so, on December 19, 2024, Anthonia’s husband called The Emmanuel TV Prayer Line and the demons in his wife manifested, threatening to take her life on February 2, 2025. But the devil lost the battle on that very day Anthonia was meant to die, as the Holy Spirit stood guard during the deliverance session. Since that day, Anthonia has known peace and calmness. “No more nightmares and attacks from the demonic world,” she said. She advised others to embrace God’s power.

Her husband, Fidelis, narrated how he had started life worshipping idols. “My father used to sacrifice a cock to the idols and he used to make us participate in the process,” he disclosed. He also explained how he had been facing troubles from different angles. “After I got to know about Emmanuel TV through my wife in 2008,” he continued, “I started to see positive changes in my life.” Having refused to continue serving the idols of his father’s house, Fidelis knew that he had to continue on the path with God. “Whenever my wife experienced spiritual attacks during the night, I would minister the Anointing Water on her and she would become free,” he said. Having witnessed the manifestation of God’s power over the phone, Fidelis knew that the battle could only be the Lord’s. To the glory of God, the entire family was liberated for good. “My wife has now been set free; in short, we are all fully delivered,” he asserted. He urged others to believe in God’s power.

Their son, also named Fidelis, testified about his deliverance from the spirit of drug addiction. “It began in 2020, when I got admitted to the university and joined bad company,” he disclosed. Because of his addiction, the young man had dropped out of his civil engineering course. To the glory of God, however, he has now been purged of all addiction and freed for a new life in Christ! His parents confirmed the transformation. Their daughter equally glorified God for all that the family has received from the Throne Of Grace.

“Now I Am A Born-again Boy!” Declares Young Man Set Free From Household Idols

During the Mass Prayer session of the service of February 2, 2025, Moses witnessed the incredible power of God. As the prayers carried on, he fell under the anointing and the demons in him began to manifest violently, causing him to tear up his shirt. Before he could go further, he got restrained by the ushers. Subsequently, one of the evangelists engaged him in one-on-one prayer. Minutes later, Moses received his freedom. The following Sunday, Moses returned for his testimony. He told of his past as an idol worshipper, starting under his grandfather’s tutelage in the village. He said his grandfather had taught him how to send arrows of illness into people’s lives. “I was always sleeping in the shrine,” he recalled.

He also told the story of his initiation to witchcraft by a girl in his school. “She gave me a black substance to lick and from then on I became a part of their coven,” he explained. During his formal initiation, Moses was given blood to drink and another liquid to wash his face. “I would see my spirit leave my body during the night and I would find myself in different places,” he said. Moses and his people claimed lives through spiritually manipulated accidents. “We would funnel their blood into a receptacle in our coven,” he opened up. In real life, Moses lost interest in schoolwork and became rude to his teachers. “My friends started to avoid me,” he said.

Meanwhile, he had managed to initiate two people to the coven. He then sought out new friends, some older and some younger. “I had charms all over my body and also prepared charms for my younger friends to guard them from pain from beatings or attacks with sharp objects,” he went on. He was also a drug dealer and courier. During one transaction that went wrong, he fought an older person and broke his head. “I heard that the youths of the neighbourhood were looking for me, so I ran down to Lagos,” he confessed. In Lagos, he stayed with an aunt who started bringing him to The SCOAN.

“I used to feel uncomfortable during the prayer sessions, so I would sneak out of the church,” he admitted. During one service, Moses received the Anointing Water. “My aunt told me how to minister it prayerfully,” he said. That first night, in the dream, he saw the person who initiated him to the world of witchcraft. “Why did you use that water?” she asked him, wondering if he wanted to kill himself. As he continued using it, his coven mates kept threatening to kill him. It was during the service of February 2, 2025 that the Holy Spirit finally arrested him!

Although he had been laughing during the Mass Prayer as he saw people falling under the anointing, Moses got slapped to submission by God’s Spirit. “I saw an old man on the Altar and he added more fire to what the evangelist was carrying,” Moses said about the evangelist who engaged him in one-on-one prayer. “I saw black smoke coming out of me as my deliverance continued,” he said. In a confirmatory dream, Moses saw his former coven mates a distance away. “They took the things they had given me, including their black clothes and rings,” he said. “Now I am a born-again boy,” he declared to the world. He advised the youth to avoid bad company and to be wary of taking food items from their mates. Finally, he advised people to attend a living church always. His uncle by marriage, Michael, blessed God’s name for the deliverance. He urged parents to look after their children. “Run to a living church for help in times of crisis,” he advised others.

After-Service Testimony

Mabel had been suffering from high blood pressure, which caused her difficulty in breathing and severe abdominal problems. To the glory of God, however, during the Mass Prayer session, the power of God located her and neutralised the impurities in her system as she vomited. Now, she is free of every infirmity that had troubled her life.
