James 1:2-3 says, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”

The knowledge of the purpose of life that comes from Christ stops us from being overwhelmed by the happenings around us. Truly, what we see when we study our immediate surroundings is frightening. We see satan using man’s unrighteousness as a means to fulfil his purpose to kill, steal and destroy.

As a believer, you must think deeply when you are faced with daily challenges so as to avoid being defeated. Today many people react emotionally to their situation, ending up overwhelmed and ultimately losing control. When you lose control, you will start to fight the wrong battle. You will begin to see others as your enemies – the cause of your problems.

As a believer, whatever situation you are going through has no real evil in it, because God is aware. When God Almighty executes His plan in our lives, He allows events to unfold until His purpose in our lives is revealed. This is why you must keep your focus on Christ Jesus. Focusing on Christ Jesus in the midst of your trials puts everything else in perspective. God is powerful and faithful to those that trust Him.

Therefore, no matter the situation or how difficult it may be today, you will overcome. Those who have a clear purpose of life will always find room in their hearts to bless the name of the Lord even when what their life depends on is taken away. God is aware! Emmanuel!!

Prayer: Lord Jesus, help me to have absolute faith only in You in whatever situation I am passing through, in Jesus Christ’s name! Amen!
