Sunday, June 19, 2022 was a week after the second posthumous birthday of God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua, who positively affected the lives of millions all over the world through his faithful, unbroken service to God Almighty and through acts of selfless charity, deep compassion and genuine love extended to fellow humans of every race, faith and status in life. The SCOAN Sunday Service of that day was another good opportunity for congregants and viewers all over the world to be reminded about the need to surrender all to the Creator of All flesh, giving Him everything and withholding nothing, as The Emmanuel TV Choir sang.   

As part of that surrendering to the inscrutable will and ways of the Father, Evangelist Chisom gave a well-received sermon titled “The Mystery Of Next.” It was another message that reminded the church of Prophet TB Joshua’s deep understanding of life’s affairs as borne out of years of adversity and trials that gave him the strength to be a shoulder for others to lean on. The proof text for the message was Proverbs 27:1—“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”

In a vintage quote from Prophet TB Joshua, Evangelist Chisom stated: “When God Almighty is executing His plans in our lives, He also designs and arranges events that will continue to unfold until His purpose is revealed. In the mystery of tomorrow, man proposes and God disposes. In the mystery of tomorrow, man rejects, God directs.” It was against this background that God’s servant stressed the need to be patient with and tolerant of people.

Said God’s servant, in another powerful quotable expression, “Do not reject anyone on account of their weakness because next is a mystery. The person you reject on account of today may be your helper tomorrow.” Evangelist Chisom explained that the unmerited favour called grace, rather than works, is what accounts for the mystery of our paths in life. Therefore, he said, it is best to be humble in our dealings with others, for “God takes unlikely people and puts them in a position of honour.”  

The preacher cited other scriptural references such as Matthew 21:42, Ephesians 2:8-9, Galatians 6:1, John 8:3-11, Matthew 7:5 and 1 Peter 4:8 as he drove home his points about the mystery of the next moment. Among his observations were the need to place love above wanton criticism and to understand that people can transform into powerful vessels in God’s vineyard even when we may have written them off. With the following words from God’s servant, Evangelist Chisom concluded the message: “The person who loves is conscious of the future. The person who loves without expectation is conscious about next because he will find help if he ever falls into hard times and trials. Trials do not require any invitation before they come, like a bird suddenly caught in a trap, like a fish suddenly caught in a net. This is the mystery of next and it is only love without expectation that can see us through whatever life brings.”

Laying On Of Hands And Efficacious Prayer In The Name Of Jesus Christ

Prayed Pastor Evelyn Joshua at the Prayer Line in preparation for the laying on of hands: “Father Lord, we thank You! We are here again for what You alone can do. Father, bring Your Word to pass today, in the mighty name of Jesus!” And indeed God honoured His Word in the lives of the people, who received healing, deliverance and breakthrough for the ultimate salvation of their souls.

Afterwards, the woman of God was joined by evangelists James, Ope, Joseph and Chisom during the laying on of hands. Many with contrary spirits walked into divine freedom, with all the foul spirits confessing before taking their leave. Indeed, the evidence of Jesus Christ is lives changed!

Prayer For The People

At the start of the Mass Prayer session, before asking congregants to plead for mercy, Pastor Evelyn Joshua read from Isaiah 43:19: “Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” 

She then prayed, “Every problem that is threatening your peace today—out, in the mighty name of Jesus! Every barrier that is threatening your breakthrough—out, in the name of Jesus! Every sickness that is threatening your health—out, in the name of Jesus!”

For viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua also prayed: “Every problem in your life right now—receive freedom, in the mighty name of Jesus! Every sickness in your life right now—receive healing, in the mighty name of Jesus! Every poverty that is threatening your peace—be blessed, in the mighty name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Joseph said to congregants: “Every contrary spirit, every familiar spirit—say: Out!”

Evangelist Ope told congregants: “Every spirit hindering your forward movement—command it out, in the name of Jesus! That spirit causing you nightmare, setback, delay, failure—command it out!”

Evangelist James said to congregants: “You have the name Jesus at your command. Anywhere you are having pain, say: ‘You sickness, disease, enough is enough! Today is your last day in my body! At the command of the name of Jesus—I command you out!’” He also declared, “Be healed!” 

Evangelist Chisom prayed: “Every spirit that is standing between you and your breakthrough, success—by the power in the name of Jesus, I command it to come out! Every closed door to breakthrough—be opened, in the name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer clip, Prophet TB Joshua declared with the authority in the name of Jesus Christ: “Every spirit that challenges you, your career, marriage, family, journey, business—Out! You satan—loose your grip! Whatever contact—be it your business, career, marriage, future—No! In the name of Jesus, I release you! Be released! In Jesus’ name!”

Healed Of Ankle Dislocation And Body Itching, Freed From Spirit Husband

On Sunday, 12 June 2022, Favour from Benue State received prayer over the ankle dislocation that she had sustained over 13 years ago. Because of the injury, she had been unable to do many things, including walking briskly and using certain types of footwear. “I felt a cold sensation inside of me after she touched me,” she said about the touch from the woman of God. Now she can walk briskly and wear high-heeled issues. She is also now free from all the inhibitions that had held her back. As part of the package she got from God, Favour also received instant healing from two weeks of body itching. She was also freed from the spirit husband that had been troubling her life. She advised people to come to church with faith in their hearts.

No Longer Slave To Destructive Spirit Of Anger

On Sunday, June 12, 2022, Ezekiel was in church over his problem of deep-seated rage at things and people. It was a problem that had developed as little Ezekiel navigated a difficult childhood marked by a perpetually absent and womanising father. As a result, he began to isolate himself from people. Twice, the spirit of anger made him reject an offer to travel abroad as a sportsperson. He also never liked attending social occasions, to the unhappiness of his highly sociable wife. At work, he was equally difficult to relate with. To the glory of God, however, Ezekiel’s story changed after a touch from Heaven. After the spirit in him manifested, Ezekiel received total calmness and became a new creature in Jesus Christ. He advised people to run to God, the Supernatural Healer. Regina, Ezekiel’s wife, expressed happiness at her husband’s transformation. “It is as if my husband has just married me,” she said. She advised people to patiently seek God’s help when in a situation like hers.

Saved From Snake Spirit

When she was eight years old, Blessing, a Cameroonian, had a strange experience on her way home from the stream. On that occasion, a snake had twice crossed over her feet, causing her to feel heavy. From then onwards, she began to have nightly dream visits from a spirit husband. Also, the snake would often appear to her in the dream and in real life. As time went on, the spirit brought further trouble to her life, as men started to avoid committing to her. She became depressed, unhappy and angry. She would spend hours crying over her problems, taking to frequent drinking in a bid to avoid them. Along the line, she would incur debts and cause herself public embarrassment. In the search for a solution, she visited a church where she was told that she had seven snakes on her head. She was told to isolate herself somewhere and get seven eggs that she would place on specific parts of her body. She declined—and began to see seven snakes in reality, as her problem had worsened! Following prayer on June 12, 2022, however, the evil spirit in Blessing manifested and confessed its atrocities before fleeing forever. Since then, there has been absolute peace in Blessing’s life and she sleeps blissfully, without experiencing lustful feelings as caused by the spirit. She advised people, “For any problem you have, run to God; don’t lose hope.”

Ceased Menstruation Restored After Two Years

On Sunday, April 10, 2022, Chisom was one of those who received prayers at The SCOAN as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. She had been suffering from the problem of ceased menstruation for two years, leading to swelling of the body. She had also been battling with a stubborn spirit husband that had been provoking lustful feelings in her. When Chisom had told her mother about the problem, she had advised her to come to The SCOAN for prayers. However, Chisom had refused to come to church until the service in question, thereby needlessly enduring her affliction for over two years. After she received prayer, Chisom had a dream in which reddish jellyfish came out of her and got flushed in the toilet by her mother. When she woke up, she found that her period had indeed returned! In excitement, she ran to her mother with the good news. Now a full believer in God’s power, she advised congregants: “Never doubt God.” 

Tomisin Freed From Mermaid Spirit

For over two years after she was born, Tomisin could not walk. Her mother then consulted a spiritualist who asked her to appease certain water spirits. Two weeks after, Tomisin began to walk. But there was a warning: Tomisin was not to celebrate her birthday until she was old enough and requested it. When she turned 19 years old, Tomisin insisted that she wanted a birthday party. Then, reluctantly, Tomisin’s mother told the story of the water spirits and the birthday warning. After Tomisin insisted on marking the birthday, she was advised to celebrate it with children in an orphanage. Meanwhile, since the age of 14, Tomisin had been having constant visits from a spirit husband who would sexually assault her in the dream. In fact, it was that spirit husband who later deflowered her in the dream and gave her a serious sexually transmitted infection in real life. She was over 20 years old then. Try as much as she could, the young nurse could not help herself, even with doctors doing their best over her case. Eventually, Tomisin opened up to her mother, who also informed her husband about the situation. When Tomisin’s father heard, he suggested they visit The SCOAN for prayers. To the glory of God, the anointing finally located Tomisin and she became freed from the evil spirit that had been disturbing her life. With the New Anointing Water that she got, Tomisin began to pray and she has now received her perfect healing and deliverance in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Today, she is free from the spirit of anger and sickness. “Do not die in ignorance; open up to people who can save you,” she advised people having problems. Tomisin’s parents also spoke about their child’s situation, with her mother shedding more light on how the mermaid spirit had sought to take Tomisin’s life on a certain occasion when she drank a full bottle of wine, which had been a gift to her mother.

For Victor, It’s Victory From Malevolent Masquerade Spirit

Right from his birth, Victor from Benue State had been a child dogged by bizarre spiritual issues. His father had lost his job the very day he was born, even after his mother had had to endure grueling, prolonged labour. As he grew up, Victor began getting troubled in the dream by a malevolent masquerade spirit. He used to give them money and they used to give him money too. Concerned about Victor’s situation, an elderly man advised him to quit the masquerade cult. Victor then decided he would quit. Once he took the decision, however, the masquerade cult moved against him. “They beat the hell out of me in the dream—and it later happened in real life,” he told the church. But more misery was to come. He stopped getting jobs and slid into debilitating penury. Upon managing to get married, Victor found himself losing four babies, soon after the birth of each one! He then remarried. During labour, Victor’s wife found it difficult to have her baby by herself. Victor then received the gift of the New Anointing Water from his sister. After the ministration, his wife had her baby without needing any surgery! Victor then tried for another baby and his wife had another safe delivery. While in church on June 12, 2022, Victor received his perfect deliverance after he encountered the Spirit of God. He said he had in fact seen God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua and angels on The SCOAN Altar during the service. “The angels had been touching the people before the evangelists came,” he said. Subsequently, Victor received an anointed physical touch that delivered him. “Have faith that you will have your deliverance one day,” he advised the church. Victor’s sister testified about how her brother has now been rid of the fiery spirit of anger. “Take all your problems to God,” she urged the people.

After the service, she testified about her healing from difficulty in walking due to lumbar spondylolisthesis, osteoarthritis and a slipped disc.
