Acknowledging God’s perpetual presence in their lives despite their unworthiness, congregants joined The SCOAN Choir in worshipping God with a contrite heart during the last Sunday service of January 2024. They started thus: “All The Glory Must Be To The Lord/For He Is Worthy Of Our Praise!” They went on: “Lord, I’m Amazed/For How You’ve Shown Me Mercy!” And when they remembered God’s Word in Romans 8:12-13, they quickly proclaimed: “Sin’s Power Over Me Is Broken.”
“Hope you have not forgotten your name?” Evangelist Chisom asked the people as he joined them for another message on love, in the tradition of the Founder of The Synagogue, Prophet TB Joshua. The sermon, “THE LIFE OF LOVE”, was anchored on Matthew 5:43-47; other Scriptural references included Romans 8:35 & 38-39 and Luke 6:32. The evangelist started on a note of caution to all: “Receiving answers from God is not as important as maintaining them. Getting to the top is not as difficult as staying on top…. The best man in the world can only maintain his position, honour as long as God is for him. If God leaves us to ourselves, we will fall and our enemies will triumph over us.”
Evangelist Chisom explained what it means to make love a lifestyle: We are not to pretend to be what we are not and our actions will not suggest that we are struggling to look good before others; we are just simply meant to show love unconditionally, like Jesus Christ, without caring whether we get it in return. “When you love because you want to be loved in return or you love with expectations,” he said, “you set yourself up for offence, bitterness and deep hurt.” He therefore encouraged congregants to look beyond race, ethnicity, religion and other factors when dealing with other humans. He reminded them that “God’s love for us never fails in spite of our weakness, shortcomings.”
On that note, Evangelist Chisom cited people like Abraham, Moses, David and Peter, who failed God at some point but still worked as vessels of honour in His vineyard. “God never consults our past or present conditions,” he said, “before showing us His love.” Accordingly, the evangelist advocated unconditional love for our neighbours. “What differentiates you from others if you love only those who love you?” he asked. In closing the message, he noted that God’s unconditional love promotes truth, patience, calmness, and humility, among other positive qualities. He then told the people: “Ask Jesus to fill you with the fire of His love, to grant you a loving heart – a heart that loves without expectation.”
“Remain A Soldier For God!”: Exhortation From Pastor Evelyn Joshua
Before praying with the people, Pastor Evelyn Joshua exhorted all on the issue of unbelief and the need to “cultivate an atmosphere of faith.” She referred to a message by Prophet TB Joshua titled “An Atmosphere Of Unbelief”. Reading from Mark 6:1-6, the woman of God noted that an atmosphere of unbelief makes it difficult for God’s power to manifest in a person’s life, as Jesus Christ experienced with people in His hometown. “They rejected their own because of lack of knowledge,” she said. Regarding the name-calling of God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua by some, she said, quoting the Man of God, “As long as we continue to dishonour our own, we will remain a consumer nation.” She went on, “Faith makes the impossible, possible; faith will make you see what God Almighty is looking at.” She therefore encouraged the people to avoid the trap of doubting their faith as they aim for the goal of becoming like Christ Jesus. In her words: “Remain a soldier for God, for Christ Jesus. Stand at your post; do not lose focus. Christ is with you; He is the God of yesterday, today and forever. Just come to Him and you will be blessed beyond measure.”
Their Chance To Testify Of The Lord’s Goodness
On joining congregants for the Laying Of Hands session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua decreed upon them: “May you continue to flourish with the morning dew, in the name of Jesus Christ!” She prayed: “Father Lord, we are here once again. We thank You; we honour You. We commit our lives into Your hands. Father, we want to hear Your voice; we want to hear You speak. We want to testify of Your goodness. We want Your life to be honoured in us in whatever thing we do and say.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on us; lead us, guide us, instruct us, teach us, in the name of Jesus! Father, we want You to hold us, save us, love us in spite of our sins and weaknesses. Almighty God, make us a channel of light where there is darkness. Make us a channel of love where there is hate. Father, make us a channel of peace where there is disunity. O Lord God, help us to accomplish Your will in our lives. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray! Thank You, Lord! Thank You, Father! In Jesus Christ’s name we pray! Amen!”
From across the world many came with petitions regarding swollen belly/leg/jaw, knee injury, difficulty in walking/breathing, knee injury, ankle dislocation, piles, sickle-cell anaemia, mental disorder/depression, skin disease, leg ulcers, bipolar disorder, and difficulty in urinating, among others. For them, healing was available. For them, deliverance was available. For them, breakthrough was also available – all for the ultimate salvation of their souls.
Among those seeking the help of the Master Surgeon were women with issues such as breech presentation, oligohydramnios, multiple fibroids and breast cancer, etc. And the Master Surgeon attended to them – in further glorification of His name!
Moreover, there were those who had the evil spirits in them expelled by the unmatchable power of Jesus Christ as Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists moved around the auditorium. Indeed, the fire of the Holy Ghost consumed everything untoward in the people’s lives, forcing out confessions from hitherto hidden foul spirits.
And Their Red Sea Parted!
“The joy of the Lord is your strength,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua assured congregants at the start of the Mass Prayer session. “Step out and claim the promises of God for your life,” she urged them after reading from Jeremiah 30:16-17. She then asked the people to pray: “Lord Jesus Christ, release Your mighty power into my body, spirit! Let Your healing power be released into any damaged part of my body!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua further prayed: “Be healed from every sickness, affliction, disease! We command every sickness, affliction in your body to be washed away, in the name of Jesus! Every giant that stands between you and God’s promises for your life – be removed! Every weapon that is not of God – be delivered right now, in the name of Jesus! Be freed right now, in the name of Jesus! Whatever shackle the devil must have used to chain you – be broken right now, in the name of Jesus! Receive your freedom – freedom from heartache, disunity, pain, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
Evangelist Joseph prayed: “Every evil spirit that is operating in your life: Out, in the name of Jesus!” He also told the people to pray: “You demon, familiar spirit, evil spirit – you are darkness. I command you in the mighty name of Jesus – anywhere you are in my body, soul spirit – I command you: Out! You messenger of satan sent against my life – anywhere you are, in the name of Jesus – come out!”
Evangelist Chisom told the people to pray: “You demon, unclean spirit, ancestral spirit – anywhere you are, troubling my life, troubling my family – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! You unclean spirit – no hiding place for you. Anywhere you are within and without: Out!”
Evangelist James told the people: “Every spirit of infirmity that entered your life knowingly or unknowingly – command them out in the name of Jesus!” He also urged them to pray: “You spirit of infirmity – I command you: Out of my life, in the name of Jesus!”
Evangelist Ope asked congregants to declare: “Every cycle of limitation in my family – anywhere you are, be broken, in the name of Jesus! You cycle of limitation in my family: Out!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua turned to viewers all over the world: “As Moses raised up his staff of prayer and the Red Sea in his life was divided, we command everything that represents the Red Sea in your life to be divided right now, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every wall of trouble, hindrances, every evil veil that is disturbing your destiny – we command them to be divided right now, in the name of Jesus Christ! We command light into your darkness right now, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let there be light in your home, life, job, career, finances!” The Woman of God told the people: “Your victory is assured! Walk in the light of your testimony, glory!”
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “You demon, I order you to leave my people right now!” He prayed: “I separate you from every pain of the past, every embarrassment. Whatever pain must have caused you, whatever nightmare – be delivered, in the name of Jesus! Whatever hurt in the past, deep hurt – be separated, in the name of Jesus! I separate you from that nightmare! In the mighty name of Jesus, I order, command every demon disturbing you: Out, in the name of Jesus! Leave my people, with your sickness, setback.”
Prophet TB Joshua continued in the Mass Prayer video: “I command you demon in the lives of my people – leave my people, in the name of Jesus! You sickness, disease, you affliction in the blood, kidneys, liver, in any part of your organs – I command them to leave you, in the name of Jesus! Every inherited sickness in your blood, fluids, every of your organs – I command them out, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! You affliction, disease in hidden places – Out, in the name of Jesus!” God’s servant urged the people to declare: “I am redeemed, healed, delivered!”

“Now I Am Bouncing In The Lord!” Declares Woman Healed Of 11 Years Of Difficulty In Walking
“No one is saved by crying,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua told Nene before praying for her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ during the service of January 21, 2024. She urged Nene to look in faith upon Jesus Christ, the Healer, instead of crying. Since 2013, the Nigerian based in Germany had been suffering from severe disc prolapse, leading to difficulty in walking. “I kept taking powerful drugs but they did little for me, even as I worked as a nursing assistant,” Nene told the church a week after her healing. “At a point, I started to double my dosage, against doctors’ prescriptions, because the pain was just too much,” she continued. On Sunday, July 24, 2022, Agatha had been in The SCOAN for prayer over multiple issues to do with her reproductive system. “The doctor told me I had ovarian cysts,” she told the church on January 28, 2024, “and that I would need an operation.” When Agatha received healing ministration, she noticed that her pain ceased immediately. “The evangelist touched me at the exact place where I was having the issue,” she continued. Although the doctors had suggested that she would not be able to conceive without surgically taking out her cysts, she had moved in faith and continued to pray with the Anointing Water. “The doctors confirmed the disappearance of my cysts after prayer and I fell pregnant that same month,” Agatha went on. She carried the pregnancy to term and the baby has remained in good health. She advised people to exercise faith and to use their spiritual items with belief in their heart. “This is a 28-year-old miracle!” declared Temidayo when she appeared before congregants on January 28, 2024. She started by telling of how she had sustained an accident while making a supply one morning. “A heavy object fell from the truck and landed on my foot, shattering it,” she recalled. Of course, Temidayo had been desperate for a cure and had visited several places, including hospitals and spiritual homes in other states. To the glory of God, however, she discovered The SCOAN and came for prayers as Pastor TB Joshua ministered on October 5, 1996. 18 Years Later, Iyabo Continues To Enjoy God’s Healing Power!
During a SCOAN Sunday Service in August 2006, Iyabo, a Nigerian woman married to a Congolese (Democratic Republic), had presented herself for prayer as Prophet TB Joshua ministered. She had been the lone survivor of an accident in which she suffered a terrible leg fracture. Despite expending resources at hospitals and herbal homes, Iyabo remained unable to walk, until her husband brought her to The SCOAN. Justina, a Nigerian, testified about God’s healing power. While receiving prayer during ministration by Pastor Evelyn Joshua on Sunday, January 21, 2024, Cynthia could not stop herself from crying as God’s power burned through her resistance. Minutes later she received relief and came back to testify a week after. She started by narrating how the demons of her father’s house had possessed her during childhood in the village. “The idols of my father’s house were so powerful that they killed my cousins and prevented other children from prospering even while abroad,” she told the church. “We were told that Arobinagwu, the idol, could not be removed from our homestead and that someone had to be devoted to worshipping it,” she continued. She told the church how all previous efforts had failed to uproot the idol. “I kept having dreams in which I saw myself flying and I always had problems with my family,” she disclosed. Although her husband had tried to persuade her to come to church, she had stayed adamant. “I cried when Prophet TB Joshua passed away but I also felt some kind of relief, believing that I would no longer be forced to watch Emmanuel TV,” she further disclosed.
One day, Cynthia suffered an attack that paralysed a part of her body. “My husband came home and ministered the Anointing Water on me; minutes later, I got up and went to have my bath,” she said. Yet, the devil continued to manipulate Cynthia, who constantly suffered from gastritis. “I was still finding it hard to believe fully,” she went on. 10 Years Ago, This Man Was Dying From A Horrible Skin Disease But God Saved Him Through His Servant Prophet TB Joshua!
For a good six years, 39-year-old Jude had been suffering from a grievous skin disease that made him a dreadful, macabre, sight to behold. All over his body, the scaly skin was peeling off and Jude looked like a character in a horror movie. No one wanted to go close to him. Yet, in the year 2014, God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua threw open the gates of The SCOAN to Jude and prayed for him with love, patience and compassion. As Jude’s sister, Monica, told the church on January 28, 2024 – a good 10 years later – “other sick patients were running away from him.” She disclosed how the family had taken Jude to different hospitals, churches and witchdoctors’ homes. Eventually, they managed to bring him from Benue State to Lagos. “It was a tough journey indeed and my brother’s condition messed up the vehicle, causing other passengers to complain endlessly,” Monica said. The next battle for the family was how to get Jude to The SCOAN, after their arrival in Lagos. “After countless futile negotiations with cab and tricycle drivers,” Monica recalled, “we managed to find one driver who was willing to take us to The SCOAN at an extra cost.” It was also another struggle for Monica to get a place where they could stay for the night, as owners of lodgings refused to offer them a place. At last, she managed to appeal to the conscience of one of them. “Prophet TB Joshua attended to my brother first, and after the prayer my brother asked for food – something he had not done for so long,” Monica recounted, her face glinting with excitement. Within a few months, Jude recovered and returned to being a normal person again – no longer a ‘ghost’ as people called him.
