December 31 doubled as the last Sunday and last day of 2023. In the spirit of gratitude, people assembled in The SCOAN from all over the world to worship the God who had made it possible for them to thrive throughout the year. “You Are the Lord/Let Your Name Be Glorified!” they proclaimed as the power of the Holy Spirit took over The SCOAN Auditorium. Congregants also asked for God not to give them the judgement that they deserve as they prepared for another time of impartation in His presence.

The sermon was given by Evangelist Joseph, who fittingly spoke on “The Grace of God”, reading from Proverbs 3:34 but also referring congregants to James 4:6 and 1 Peter 5:5. The message was truly telling and sobered congregants as they pondered their attitude towards God’s gifts in theirs and the lives of others. “No one is too good or too bad to be used by God; no one is underqualified or overqualified for God’s grace,” he told the church. But the evangelist was also quick to let the people know that grace is not enough, hence his reminder to them not to fold their arms and refuse to work. For grace to work in our lives, he continued, we must be willing to play our part as if God had no say in the matter while also praying as if it all depended on God.

That being so, true believers are to avoid jealousy, rivalry and unhealthy competition, given the abundance of the space available for everyone to thrive according to God’s design. “When you begin to compete,” he told the people, “You begin to fail.” Evangelist Joseph explained that going into rivalry mode will produce negative results. In his words: “When you begin to develop hatred and envy, then you will walk out of God’s plan and purpose for your life, because when you are busy envying your brother that seems to be making more progress than you, you will miss the blessings of God in front of you.”

Citing the cases of David, Daniel and Esther, Evangelist Joseph therefore urged the people to commit to due process, work hard, stay patient and avoid boasting. He gave his closing remarks thus: “Just like Paul, your boasting should be on God’s ability to turn your weaknesses into strength. And our prayer should be that God will crown all our efforts with success.”

And They Enjoyed an Abundance of God’s Love!

“Make a joyful shout to the Lord,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua urged congregants as she thanked the Creator for another beautiful day.
Before proceeding to lay hands on the people, the woman of God prayed: “Father Lord God Almighty, we thank You. Jesus Christ, we praise You. Holy Spirit, we magnify Your holy name. Father, we thank You for the bundle of experiences we call life. Thank You for Your unending love. Thank You for Christ Jesus, our Good Shepherd, who has come to demonstrate the reality of Your love and power to us; Almighty God, we thank You that in Him is freedom to live and freedom from fear.

In Christ Jesus there is freedom to live and freedom to trust; in Him there is freedom to love and freedom to give thanks. In Christ Jesus there is freedom to stand firm and there is freedom for all. Father, we thank You. Thank You for those whose lives, deeds, work made us to see the reality of Christ’s love in our lives. Father Lord Almighty, we thank You for everything. O Lord God Almighty, let Your presence lead us here today, in the name of Jesus Christ! Father, see to all that concerns us, in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Jesus! In Jesus Christ’s name we give thanks! Amen!”
At The Prayer Line were hundreds from all over the world who had come to cast a steadfast look at the Crucified One. Over their conditions they asked for mercy and they received it in abundance for issues such as difficulty in walking, difficulty in breathing, severe waist pain, neck tumor, asthma, liver/heart enlargement, hypertension, low sperm count, and diabetes.

Other conditions that received God’s attention were umbilical hernia, wrist fracture, severe cough, hole in the heart, leg ulcers, partial stroke, epilepsy, kidney cysts, poor vision, swollen body, arthritis, and gallstones, among others.
There was also relief for women seeking the safe delivery of their babies, even as the Lord intervened over issues of fibroids, fatty liver, breast cancer, tubal blockage, barrenness, and bed-wetting, etc.

Right inside The Arena Of Liberty God’s power continued to flow as demons were exposed and expelled through the faculties of Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists. Glory be to Jesus Christ!

Restored To Sonship In Christ Jesus!

When she rejoined the church for the Mass Prayer session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua read from 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 and told the people, “You have the name of Jesus Christ at your command.” She urged the people: “Release yourself from every relationship that is not ordained by God.”

The woman of God then prayed: “Every spirit that brings you bitterness, poverty, heartache, every spirit that causes sickness and affliction, every spirit that causes disappointment—we command them out now, in the name of Jesus Christ! Be freed from every chain! Be healed from every sickness, affliction! The year is coming to an end today—be delivered, in the name of Jesus! Every entanglement, every plan that is not of God—we demolish them now, in the name of Jesus! May your life, business, family, job, career, be restored! Breakthrough in your life, way, family, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Turning to viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua told the people to ask God to grant everything they desire. She urged them to raise their hands while holding the key promised by Jesus Christ. She then told them, “Begin to open every closed door with the key.” The woman of God prayed: “Every closed door—let it be opened right now, in the name of Jesus Christ, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!” She further told the people to declare: “Lord Jesus Christ, as I am raising my hand, let me be above every of my challenges!” Finally, the woman of God pronounced upon the people: “Freedom to your life, children, career, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Evangelist Joseph told the people: “Every demon, unclean spirit operating in your life—command them out, in the name of Jesus! You demon, familiar spirit—anywhere you are, I command you, I order you in the name of Jesus: Out!”
Evangelist Ope told the people to pray: “You spirit standing against my forward movement—anywhere you are: Out!”
Evangelist James told congregants: “Every unclean spirit causing you sickness, disease—command it out!” He also prayed for them: “Every sickness, disease in your body, blood—out, in the name of Jesus!”
Evangelist Chisom told the people to pray: “You spirit, the cause of my sickness, disease—anywhere you are, in the name of Jesus: Out! You spirit frustrating my business, efforts—I command you, in the name of Jesus: Out!” He also prayed for them: “Whatever spirit that is tormenting your business – spirit of hardship, limitation, disappointment – Out!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “All unclean spirits operating in your life—be it in your career, health, marriage, family, business—I command them to leave you right now! Every organ in your body—begin to function, in the name of Jesus! Any organ in your system that is not functioning—I command them to begin to function, in the name of Jesus! Be it in your liver, kidneys, blood, bones—I command them to begin to function, in the name of Jesus! I command any pain in your system to leave you, in the name of Jesus! Affliction, leave my people! All unclean spirits operating in your life, business, career, marriage—leave my people! Every infirmity—submit to Jesus! You sickness, disease, affliction in the body, kidneys, bones—out, in the name of Jesus! Wherever that affliction is located—leave, in the name of Jesus! That affliction is healed, removed, in Jesus Christ’s name!”

“I Am Entering The New Year With A Brand-New Body,” Says Man Healed Of Asthma And Lumbar Spondylosis

On December 24, Victor, a Nigerian, was in The SCOAN for prayer over the issues of asthma and lumbar spondylosis. For a long while, he had been using different medicines but had not received any relief. Determined not to enter the year 2024 with his bodily burden, he had come in faith to God’s presence. “Pastor Evelyn Joshua breathed upon me three times while praying for me,” he said a week later, during his testimony. Since then, Victor confirmed the disappearance of both conditions. “I can breathe freely and walk well now,” he demonstrated. He advised people to seek God in a Bible-believing church. “I am entering the New Year with a brand-new body,” he said, beaming with smiles.

Mother Healed Of Swollen Belly, Son Healed Of Cataracts!

Prudencia from Equatorial Guinea testified about her son’s healing from cataracts. “My son David had been performing poorly in school because of his sight problems,” Prudencia started the testimony on December 31, 2023. The education inspector continued, “I felt I had failed myself.” Expectedly, she made every effort to procure relief for David. “But even with medicated glasses, my boy could barely see,” Prudencia went on. However, the story changed on December 24, 2023 as David received prayer during ministration by Pastor Evelyn Joshua. Now he can read without glasses – to the glory of God! Prudencia also shared her own testimony of healing from the affliction of a swollen belly. Upon being impacted by the Spirit of God through the faculties of Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Prudencia had received her perfect healing. “The swelling is gone and I eat well now,” she disclosed. She advised people to have full faith in God. After demonstrating his healing, David advised the world: “Look for Jesus Christ.”

A Police Officer Finds Freedom In God’s House!

On December 17, 2023, the demon that had been bothering Hilda’s life finally gave up. It had been insisting on being worshipped by Hilda, claiming to represent the powers of her grandfather’s house. During Hilda’s recent wedding, the demon had almost got the event called off, as groom and bride got possessed by the spirit of anger. Two weeks after stepping into divine freedom, Hilda returned to The SCOAN for her testimony alongside her husband Henry and mother-in-law. “I used to wear masquerade costumes while living with my grandfather,” the police officer opened up. She said that the demon had made her wasteful with money and caused her to live rather riotously. As God had willed, however, Hilda had heeded her mother-in-law’s advice to come to church for the prayer of deliverance. On that occasion, the demon confessed its atrocities before hurrying off – and now Hilda is at peace with herself and family. “Every problem has a solution; seek God for help,” she advised others. Henry thanked God for delivering his wife and bringing sweetness to his marriage.

“If Not God, Who Else Could Have Done This For Me?” Man Cries After Being Divinely Freed From Kidnappers’ Den

“If God is with us, nobody can be against us,” asserted Douglas as he started his testimony on the last day of 2023. Based in the Asian country of Oman, the Nigerian narrated how he and others had fallen into the merciless hands of kidnappers as they headed for the village in eastern Nigeria on December 13, 2023. “Our vehicle became immobilized under a hail of bullets and for seven hours the kidnappers marched us deep into the forest,” Douglas recalled, his traumatized eyes filling with tears. Three days into the kidnap saga, Douglas still had no one to reach out to for a ransom. “We will kill you if you do not provide someone to pay on your behalf,” the kidnappers threatened. To make good their promise, the kidnappers had in fact cocked their gun and shot at him twice but no bullet came out. “We will kill you by other means,” they said, thinking that Douglas was using some kind of native charm. In tears, Douglas asked for his life to be spared. “A fellow victim pled on my behalf and offered to try and reach out to someone from my village,” he continued. At some point, the kidnappers removed the blindfold from his eyes but left his feet tied. Unknown to Douglas, his wife had called the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line once she confirmed that he hadn’t made it to the village. The evangelist on the line had given the assurance, “Your husband will return home.” From then on, a string of events of grace started to unfold. First, the kidnappers began to witness God’s aura around Douglas – and this caused them to panic. Second, they asked if he had a wife and children and he answered in the affirmative. “We will release you because of them,” they said. Three, four days into the ordeal, the kidnappers actually released Douglas based on the ransom paid by the fellow victim who had offered to help him. In the end, Douglas and the other man reported to the police and found that their personal items had been recovered as well. “When I opened my bag, I realized that my laptop had a Good Morning sticker on it!” Douglas sobbed in gratitude to the Creator of Heaven and Earth. He advised people to embrace Jesus Christ.

Anointing Arrests Spirit Of Miscarriage And Produces Child Of Destiny!

A Cameroonian couple testified about how God stepped into their case after miscarriages. “We got married in 2020 and a particular nightmare preceded two miscarriages,” Lynette told the church on December 31, 2023. During Lynette’s third pregnancy, the devil had threatened to strike but the Lord had taken control, for Lynette was now under a special cover. “My mother gave me faith tools from The SCOAN and I started to grow my faith, praying consistently,” she continued. To the glory of God, Lynette carried the pregnancy to term and had her baby effortlessly. “The God who did it for me will also do it for you,” she assured others. Her husband confirmed the testimony and encouraged others to seek God’s help.
