When they assembled in The Synagogue on Sunday, July 28, 2024, congregants were mindful of the word in Psalm 40:5 as they testified of the Lord’s goodness and worshipped Him for His innumerable good deeds. And the ever-faithful God did accept their worship as He sent down His angels to cause incredible happenings in their midst. “Blessed Be The Name Of The Lord,” the people sang before asking for the Blood Of Jesus to set them free from sin and sorrow. The more they sang, the more they felt the pulsating presence of the Holy Spirit, to the shame of the devil. In the end the church asserted, “My Life Is Renewed/By The Blood of The Lamb!”

After reading from Philippians 4:6 and referring congregants to Matthew 6:25-34 and Proverbs 15:13, Evangelist Ope gave his sermon title as “The Dangers Of Worry”. He started by noting most people tend to choke under the weight of “senseless anxiety, worry and care about the past, the present and the future,” especially in relation to the opinions of others. The well-received message asserted the need for believers to ignore the negative opinion of man on their situation but to focus on God’s opinion about their lives.

Explaining that worry only brings further trouble upon the spirit, soul and body, the evangelist urged congregants to take note of the difference between concern and worry. He described worry as a negative emotion and concern as a positive emotion that drives the Christian to seek the right solution in Jesus Christ. Only an unworried person will carry on praying, reading the Bible and praising God while facing life’s challenges. In Evangelist Ope’s words: “To worry is to be disturbed in heart or mind about or over something without making a move or action. Worry sees or identifies a problem but does nothing about it, while concern is the opposite. Concern sees or identifies a problem and does something about it.” Thus, the evangelist made the key point that showing concern involves taking action.

In remarkable words, the evangelist stated that while worry repels, concern propels. He therefore charged congregants thus: “When worry knocks at the door of your heart, go into worship to free your heart. Look up to God, believe in Him, trust in His provision and you will see that all you have been praying for will come to pass.”

A Meeting With The Blessing Provider!

“Every praise belongs to our God,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared as she joined the people for the ministration. Thereafter, she introduced clips from The SCOAN Youth Convention 2024 and the wedding ceremony of Evangelist Shina.

The woman of God charged those at the Prayer Line thus: “You have come to seek the face of your God, the ever-faithful God, the ever-loving God; He will reveal Himself to you as the Great Healer, the Great Deliverer, the Blessing Provider, our Saviour, our All And All. Just come as you are – no condemnation, no guilt. Just accept Him as your Lord and Saviour; lay your problem at His feet and you will rejoice. That is His promise; God is not a man that promises without fulfilling. He is God, so lay down your problems before Him this morning. You have cause to glorify His holy name.”

As everyone got into an attitude of prayer, knowing that Jesus Christ is still in the business of healing, delivering and saving, they witnessed God’s hands upon their cases of asthma, difficulty in walking, epigastric hernia, memory loss, back tumour, mental disorder, bipolar disorder, piles, severe cough, liver disease, drug addiction, leg ulcer, bed-wetting, skin disease, and leg swelling, etc. 

For women experiencing tubal blockage, cervical cancer and bleeding due to fibroids, the power of the Living God also sufficed!

Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists then proceeded to lay anointed hands on other congregants inside the Main Auditorium, with further exposure of the schemes of satan and his agents.

In the words of Prophet TB Joshua, “The moment you stay in faith, you can hear from Jesus and know that all of Heaven is backing you up.” So was the case as the evangelists stood on the authority of Jesus Christ as they expelled stubborn demons during the One-On-One session.

And They Pulled Down Evil Altars In Jesus’ Name!

“Get ready to sing a new song – a new song of victory, a new song of joy,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua told congregants at the start of the Mass Prayer session.

The woman of God said to the people: “Ask God to give you utterance. Every altar that has swallowed your goodness – command the Holy Ghost fire to consume it.” She also told them to declare: “Whatever bondage that I am under – Father, free me, in the name of Jesus Christ.” She prayed further: “Every contrary spirit in and out of this house – we command them to go, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every familiar spirit – we command them to be exposed right now, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua continued: “Whatever door the enemy might have opened – begin to close it right now, in the name of Jesus!” She prayed: “Be healed, in the name of Jesus Christ! Be freed today, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every chain of satan that may have connected you to where you do not belong – be loosed today, in the name of Jesus Christ! Receive your freedom today, in the name of Jesus!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua further declared upon the people: “May you be covered with the joy of the Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ! May you be enveloped with the peace of God, in the name of Jesus Christ. Every challenge in your life today – bow to the authority in the name of Jesus Christ! You will testify over this challenge, trouble, predicament, in the name of Jesus Christ! That satanic plan against your life, home, marriage, children has been defeated, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Finally, the woman of God decreed: “Breakthrough in your finances, job, career, home, marriage, in the name of Jesus Christ! It is well with you! In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray!”

Evangelist James told the people to pray: “You contrary spirit frustrating my life, threatening my life – Holy Ghost Fire – Out! You unclean spirit operating in my life, family – Holy Ghost Fire: Out!”

Evangelist Joseph decreed: “You familiar spirits, contrary spirits, evil spirits, demons, messengers of satan – I command you anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist Ope urged congregants to declare: “You spirit of infirmity, affliction – I call you by your name; anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist Chisom told the people: “That spirit that causes you sickness, disease – command it out!” He also prayed: “Every appointment with disappointment, failure – be cancelled, in the name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua proclaimed: “That infirmity is darkness. I command it out, in the name of Jesus Christ! I command all unclean spirits operating in your life, business, career: Out! All unclean spirits operating in your life, career, health, marriage, health – I command them out, in the name of Jesus! Your affliction – be ceased, in the name of Jesus! You affliction in the blood, kidneys, liver – be ceased, in the name of Jesus! Whatever satan must have been using to connect you to himself – be broken, in the name of Jesus!”

He Came In Pain But Returned With Smiles!

On July 21, 2024, Christian had to muster all the strength in him as he made his way to a seat inside The SCOAN. His neck was in a medical collar and his waist had a lumbar corset around it. Doctors had diagnosed him with cervical spondylosis, following an injury at work. With his medicines not quite providing relief, Christian had to rely on his wife for help. “I couldn’t go to work or do other daily activities,” he said on July 28. In faith, he had made his way to the church a week earlier, and once Jesus Christ visited him, Christian received his instant healing and started proclaiming his gratitude to the Lord. Today he can do all that he had been unable to do for many months. “If you have any problem, run to God,” he advised others.

40 Years Of Ancestral Bondage Broken!

During the deliverance session of the service of Sunday, July 21, 2024, the demon in Linus manifested, boasting about how it had made his life miserable over the decades. The demon also confessed to having frustrated other members of the young man’s family. In the end, the demon succumbed to God’s power. A week later, Linus returned to The SCOAN for his testimony. “God is in this place,” Linus asserted as he introduced himself as the fourteenth child of among fifteen siblings from the same mother. “All my siblings are females,” he disclosed. Linus’ mother had had so many children because she had been desperately searching for a male child. Whatever demon that had been troubling her life also came after her son, who is now just over 40 years old and unmarried. “I suffered so much disappointment and people treated me badly for no reason,” he recalled. He told of how his bosses maltreated him for no reason, often withholding his pay without justification. By some divine coincidence, Linus was able to make his way to The SCOAN for prayer on the day in question. “I felt a cold wave wash through me as the evangelist came towards me,” he said. Since that day of deliverance, Linus has stopped having the nightmares he used to have. He advised others not to give up and to continue seeking God.   

Samuel Is Restored To God’s Original Setting!

Samuel, a young man, had been hearing strange voices and having dreams in which he got intimate with women. Obviously, the idols of his father’s house had been behind it all. As time went on, Samuel became depressed and shy. “I was unable to speak in public and became aggressive as well,” he said on July 28, 2024. Although his parents took him for psychiatric attention, Samuel’s situation didn’t get much better, with drugs only helping to calm him down temporarily. After receiving prayer on September 25, 2022, however, Samuel’s story changed – for the glory of the Lord! Since then, his mental health has been restored to God’s original setting. He advised the youths to be mindful of their actions, especially online. He also urged young people to embrace God. Samuel’s mother also spoke about the experience. “My son’s condition bothered me so much and prevented me from facing my business,” she said, “so I glorify God for healing him.” She advised parents to pray for their children always.

At Last, John’s Garment Of Shame Is Consumed By Fire!

John, a Cameroonian resident in Gabon, shared his testimony of deliverance from a family idol. In childhood, he had used to participate in ritual practices with other members of his family. “But my life wasn’t going well,” he admitted, “and I knew I needed divine help.” On being introduced to Emmanuel TV, John realised that God’s power had been working wonders in people’s lives in The Synagogue. “I sold every personal possession I could sell and managed to travel down to The SCOAN for prayer,” he told the church on July 28, 2024, a week after his deliverance. He also spoke about his hitherto unstable relationships. “I never had a woman who was proud to be with me in public,” he said, “and my business endeavours also suffered because I used to act aggressively towards my customers.” Since his deliverance, however, John has stopped having bad dreams in which he sleeps with spirit forces. “I am equally free from the spirit of anger now,” he added. He advised others, “Always seek Jesus Christ.”

Ediri Regains Use Of His Right Arm!

Ediri’s arm was held in a sling as he sat for prayer on July 21, 2024. The electrician had suffered a shoulder injury leading to fractures. “One doctor told me he couldn’t help me,” Ediri said on July 28, 2024, “so he referred me to another doctor, who suggested surgery.” Before the three-week timeline for the operation, however, Ediri made his way to church. “As Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for me, I felt a cold sensation and could raise my arm and move it in all directions,” he said, exclaiming excitedly and running around on the aisle. “Run to God in every situation you are facing,” he advised, while urging people to realise that only God keeps them safe. Also expressing her happiness, Ediri’s wife said, “There is nothing too difficult for God to do.”

With Evil Forces Banished, Chiwelite Qualifies As A Barrister!

Barrister Chiwelite O. Mgbeoji shared his testimony about finally finishing his law degree after struggling for many years. Before this landmark event, he had been troubled by many foul spirits that caused him not to be able to concentrate in class or pass his examinations. After his deliverance in The SCOAN, Chiwelite had handed over his situation to God as he continued to meditate on the Word. “I went into my law school examination believing that God was with me, and it all turned out well,” he said. Since then, he has been practising as a barrister and solicitor in the Nigerian legal system. Now a preacher of God’s message, Barr. Chiwelite has been doing everything by God’s power and encouraging his family members to seek God’s help. “I brought my father’s prayer request to The SCOAN and, against all odds, his long-delayed gratuity was paid,” he said with a warm smile. He advised others, “Jesus knows and if Jesus knows, your case is settled.” His father said, “Jesus is with us and He reigns.” Chiwelite’s older sister and mother were also on hand to corroborate the testimonies. To the glory of God, the family have now completed their house in the village.
