To start the worship session of the service of Sunday, August 11, 2024, congregants besought the Lord in song: “Open The Eyes Of My Heart, Lord/I Want To See You.” They appealed to the Lamb of God seated at the right hand of the Father. “You Are Holy,” they extolled this Lamb precious beyond measure, even as they declared Him the Solid Rock on which they stand. They also acknowledged the greatness of everything written about the Son of God, conceding that only the Godhead can help them break free from the power of sin. And the merciful God let the rain of His anointing fall on them all, transforming The Arena Of Liberty into a refuge for the believing.

It was on that note that Evangelist Chisom joined the church for the sermon, urging them to proclaim: “I am delivered! I am favoured! My past is over!” He assured the people about God’s saving mercy despite the oppression dominating the world. “There are reasons to be troubled,” he said to them, “but there are more reasons not to be.”

Taking his proof text from John 16:33, the evangelist gave his sermon title as “Reflect On God’s Mercy”. Contrary to the attitude of many who praise God only when they have just received from Him, he said it was important to reflect on God’s mercy all the time as a way “to live steady even in unsteady times.” He encouraged congregants to look beyond the apparent inconvenience or dissatisfaction of the moment and to imagine how less convenient or satisfactory their lives could actually be. When he said to the people, “Many accidents that would have cost your life or confined you to a wheelchair were prevented by God,” he did not aim to alarm them but to help them appreciate the pricelessness of the breath of life.

Evangelist Chisom reminded the church of the importance of testifying about God’s goodness as a way to shame the perpetual adversary, satan. He urged congregants to pray for the ability to view their situation through God’s eyes so that they can continue to thank Him for unceasing mercy. When they see things through God’s eyes, he said, they will stop complaining, lamenting or being fearful. He ended the sermon with wise counsel: “Let God answer your request on His schedule and not yours because God’s time is the best. God’s schedule is perfect. He is never too late or too early. He is always on time.”

The Throne Of Grace For All!

At the Prayer Line, Pastor Evelyn Joshua raised her face to Heaven: “Lord, cleanse us, wash us from all unrighteousness and bless us, in the mighty name of Jesus.”

The woman of God then proceeded into the midst of the people to minister prayers of healing, deliverance and breakthrough for the ultimate salvation of souls. Many were the bodily afflictions that vanished as the name of Jesus Christ was pronounced upon the numerous cases.

Among the recipients of prayer were pregnant women and others seeking the dismantling of satanic strongholds in their lives.

The SCOAN Evangelists also joined Pastor Evelyn Joshua in ministering with power from on High, casting out the demons responsible for issues in the body and mind. Be they issues of difficulty in walking, heart failure, asthma, goitre, prostate enlargement, leg injury, umbilical hernia, skin disease, swollen body, and difficulty in urinating, etc. – God’s power was more than capable!

Indeed, satan and his agents lost the battle as there was no escape route for them during the Laying Of Hands and One-On-One session!

Loosed From Every Entanglement!

At the start of the Mass Prayer session, Evangelist Ope reminded congregants: “If it had happened the way they planned it, you wouldn’t have been here today.”

Evangelist Ope urged the people to pray: “In Your mercy, restore me, O Lord! Restore unto me all that is required to make me happy. Restore my joy, business, home. Have mercy on me. Show me Your mercy, O Lord! Do not pass me by. Let Your mercy speak for me. Every demonic activity operating in my life, be broken, in the name of Jesus! Every contrary spirit – anywhere you are – Holy Ghost Fire, come out, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist James urged the people to pray: “Every demon operating in my life, manipulating my mind, I command you out, in the name of Jesus! You unclean spirit manipulating my mind – I command you: Out! Anywhere you are hiding, I command you out, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Chisom told the people to pray: “You unclean spirit, the cause of my problems – anywhere you are, I command you out, in the name of Jesus! That spirit causing me sickness, problems – I command you out. You sickness in my blood, kidneys, liver – anywhere you are, I command you out, by the blood of Jesus! Out, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Joseph told the people to pray: “You spirit of setback, limitation, disappointment, bondage – I command you out, in the mighty name of Jesus! You sickness, setback, limitation, bondage – Out, in the mighty name of Jesus!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua told the people: “Take your place in the believers’ authority and begin to loose yourself from every cage, bondage. Begin to set yourself free, in the name of Jesus!” She prayed: “Be it in your career, in your marriage, in your business – be loosed from every entanglement, in the name of Jesus! Be healed, be delivered, be freed, in the mighty name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “I command every spirit that is not of God to leave you, in the name of Jesus! Every familiar spirit within and without – I command you out, in the name of Jesus! Everyone under the influence of my voice – I command that familiar spirit to leave you, in the name of Jesus! Familiar spirits causing you pain, setback, infirmity, failure – I command them out of your life, career, business, in the mighty name of Jesus! I command that unyielding challenge, sickness to leave you, in the name of Jesus! I capture all your diseases and sicknesses, in the name of Jesus!”

“I Came In Pain But Left In Joy,” Says Man Healed Of Cervical Spondylosis

Kingsley had been weighed down by cervical spondylosis. The pain was severe and debilitating, flowing from his neck to his spine. Despite using a neck collar, he couldn’t carry out his daily activities, especially at work. At some point, he sought the help of physiotherapists. “Their intervention did little for me,” he said on August 11, 2024. Not knowing what else to do, Kingsley came to The SCOAN in search of divine intervention. To the glory of God, he received instant healing when the woman of God laid an anointed hand on him. “I also went home with the Anointing Water,” he added. “I came in pain but left in joy,” he said with a broad smile. For advice, he told the world: “When something defies solution, just run to God.” His wife added, “Keep hope and faith alive by believing and trusting in God.”

Yoke Of Strange Cough Lifted

Gift’s health had been bogged down by a severe cough right from childhood. So bad was the cough that it forced her mother to take her to many hospitals in Jos – all to no avail. In desperation, mother and daughter ran to a herbalist who prepared a strange concoction for Gift: lizard pepper soup! But the cough worsened! For 25 years, the cough ravaged Gift’s health as medical therapy kept failing.  To the glory of God, Gift participated in the Living Water Service of August 2, 2024. As soon as she ascended the Mountain of Prayer, she felt a rumbling sensation in her stomach. In the restroom, she urinated easily and soon realised that her nagging cough had disappeared. Subsequently, she vomited poisonous substances after an evangelist ministered prayer to her during the Sunday Service. “Make God the Author and Finisher of your faith,” she advised.

Rage Of Anger Washed Away By The Living Water

Verona grew up under the influence of a family idol that her grandfather had been worshipping. “He used to sacrifice different animals to the idol,” she recalled during her testimony on August 11, 2024. One effect of the idol on her life was that it afflicted her with the spirit of anger. Whenever she got angry, she would experience severe chest pain. During one of her angry outbursts, she fell unconscious and was rushed to hospital. “That time, I had to be placed on oxygen,” she said. The problem affected her life in many ways, leading to depression. Concerned about their mother, Verona’s children urged her to attend The SCOAN Living Water Service 2023. “The demon wanted to stop me from ascending the Mountain of Prayer but God’s Spirit prevailed over it,” she told the church. Since she fell under the anointing and got her deliverance in 2023, Verona has parted ways with the demon of anger and all her bodily pains are gone. “All the pains are gone and I no longer take medications,” she testified. “Run to God; don’t allow people to stop you from coming to church,” she advised.

And The Lord Restored Queen’s Smile

One day, Queen was climbing a flight of stairs when she tripped and sustained a leg injury that soon festered and became ulcerous. At the hospital, she kept on ministering the Anointing Water on the sore. To the surprise of her doctors, the ulcerous wound healed in a matter of days. Her heart full of excitement and her mouth filled with praise, Queen asserted: “The Anointing Water is not ordinary water but a great gift to us from God through our Daddy and Mummy, Prophet TB Joshua and Pastor Evelyn Joshua. She advised others thus: “Wherever you are worshipping, have faith. Don’t run away from God; run to Him.”

The Scourge Of Miscarriage Is Over!

After having her first child in 2016, Goodness suffered two consecutive miscarriages. “My husband’s family were already planning to find him another woman,” she recalled on August 11, 2024, as she testified before God’s people in The Synagogue. Even though doctors had given her a clean bill of health in terms of her ability to have another child, Goodness’ womb just wasn’t willing to hold another baby. However, God Almighty hearkened to her cry during The SCOAN Living Water Service of 2023. “I ministered the Living Water on myself, drank some of it and gave some to my husband,” she told the church. A month later, conception was confirmed! Today, after eight years of being the mother of only one child, Goodness is proud to display baby Evelyn as the latest addition to her family! She advised people to run to God, even as her husband glorified God’s name.

Family Idol, Spirit Of Anger Banished!

As he communed with ancestral idols and offered them sacrifices, Ngozi’s father always took his beloved daughter with him. As Ngozi grew older, she started to notice that her peers avoided her; she could tell that it was because of her connection to the idols. Things came to a head one day, when her father took her to a shrine where mad people had been assembled. “I tried to run away but a vampire-like creature caught me, pierced my hand with a sharp object and sucked on the wound as blood gushed out of it,” she disclosed to the world. Upset, Ngozi’s father flogged her for having dared to flee, while insisting that she confess her ties to the marine kingdom. “Later on, my father gave me out in marriage to a man he had chosen for me,” she continued. To please her father, she married the man, who was pleasantly surprised to find her a virgin.

One fateful day, Ngozi received a call informing her that her husband was running mad. “When I got home, I met him naked and acting abnormally,” she said. “Take him to the village,” neighbours advised her. Interestingly, her husband regained his senses at the village. “But his family insisted I would have to return to the city with only one of our children,” she continued. In the end, the union broke. Soon, however, another man made love advances towards her, treating her like the apple of his eye. “The idols of my father’s house didn’t let me enjoy this new union, as I constantly acted aggressively towards my man,” she recalled wistfully. Being the patient lover, however, the man would walk away instead of reacting in anger. Still, Ngozi continued being nasty to her man. “One day I got the police to arrest him,” she said. A discerning policewoman soon noticed Ngozi’s unruliness to her husband. “She ordered me to sweep their entire compound as punishment,” confessed Ngozi. In a rare act of patient love, however, her husband picked up a broom to join her in sweeping the premises!

As time went on, a friend told Ngozi about The SCOAN. “When I got here, I realised it was the same beautiful building and peaceful ambience I had been seeing in my dream,” she told the church. In one dream she had encountered Prophet TB Joshua and received anointed direction from the man of God. “When I woke up from that dream, I found that my attitude to my man had changed,” she said. With love now restored to her marriage, the devil tried to attack her catering business. In yet another dream, she found herself on a bush path with spikes all around her. “Prophet TB Joshua appeared to me, saying, ‘Congratulations!’” She knew that the dream was a sign for her to come to Lagos and attend The SCOAN Living Water Service 2024. “As soon as the woman of God started praying,” she recalled, “I fell under the anointing and since that day, I have not experienced any nightmares or spiritual attacks.” She advised people not to give up on God no matter their situation.

Her daughter, Blessing, who was also affected by the family idol, thanked God for restoring peace in their family. She also recounted her experience at The SCOAN Youth Convention 2024. “That idol can never come near us again,” she asserted, having being delivered as an evangelist ministered to her. “Never give up. The God that saw me through will see you through,” she advised others.

Belinda had battled depression and career setback so much that it seemed that she was an alien in the world. After receiving the prayer of deliverance, however, her story changed! Today, she has a new name as an Honorable Member of Parliament in Ghana!

In the year 2020, Julie had an accident that affected her right eye. “I couldn’t see with my right eye,” she said, “and couldn’t do much for myself.” After prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, however, the sight in her right eye was restored!
