The first SCOAN Sunday Service for 2024 was a day of uncommon worship and praise – a day to make clear their wish to continue maintaining their relationship with the Source of all that they have and seek to be. Following Psalm 150:3-6, Esther of The SCOAN Sunday School and orchestra led the people in welcoming the Holy Spirit with strings, pipes and horns. “Let everything that has breath praise the Lord,” says the Bible in verse six of the above Scripture. The SCOAN Choristers soon took over, proclaiming thus: “Holy, Holy, Holy Is The Lord!” And the Lord accepted the people’s sacrifice of worship, for the Holy Spirit descended into their midst and caused incredible things to happen in their body, soul and spirit.

As one of the ways to set the tone for congregants’ approach to the New Year, Evangelist Shina gave a message entitled “Manage Yourself.” His proof text came from Romans 12:1-2, but other cited texts included 2 Kings 6:11 (the troubled mind), 1 Timothy 6:5 (the depraved mind), Romans 8:7 (the sinful mind), 2 Corinthians 4:4 (the blinded mind), 2 Corinthians 3:14 (the dull mind) and 2 Timothy 3:8 (the corrupted mind).

Evangelist Shina noted that Christians are designed to fit into God’s plan and participate in His projects, especially the project of establishing a kingdom of love (1 Corinthians 13:4-8, John 3:16) – love that is shown to all regardless of religion, ethnicity, geographical background, social or financial status, culture and tradition. To fit into God’s plan, Evangelist Shina said, the Christian must learn the skill of mind management, which is the ability to think positively through the help of the Holy Spirit. Only when the mind is at its best, through constant spiritual discipline, can it serve the believer.

Quoting Prophet TB Joshua, the evangelist said, “The management of your mind and its thoughts is fundamental to your Christian life and holy living,” for, “as a Christian what happens in your mind will happen in time.” Accordingly, he led the people to pray thus: “Lord Jesus, You are the Light. Enlighten me, enlighten my mind with the knowledge of eternal things.” He then concluded: “When your mind is enlightened, you will seek God for the truth in all matters, whether physical or spiritual.”

Saved By The Incredible Power Of The Almighty!
“Thank You, Father!” declared Pastor Evelyn Joshua as she joined the people for the Prayer Line ministration. She then turned her face to Heaven: “Almighty God, we enter into Your gate this morning with thanksgiving and into Your court with praise. Father, we thank You for who You are; You are faithful, holy, good, pure, marvellous, powerful. Thank You, Lord. Father, we praise You that You are our Father, not our judge. All the judgement we deserve fell on Christ Jesus on the Cross Of Calvary that we may have life and have it to the fullest, that we may have peace and have it to the fullest, that we may have joy and have it to the fullest.”

The woman of God continued: “O Lord God Almighty, we pray Thee this hour that as we stand before You on that day, let Your eternal life be our reward, and not condemnation. Almighty God, we commit today into Your hands; take preeminence, take Your place, fill us with Your strength, power, love, grace, in the name of Jesus Christ!” Almighty God, touch Your children today for newness, new life, new purpose, new beginning. In Jesus Christ’s name, we pray! Thank You, Jesus! Thank You, Lord!”

As always, it did not matter what was programmed into the bodies of the people, for Jesus Christ was right on the scene to save them from every affliction, including difficulty in walking, body weakness, goitre, hypertension, swollen belly, autism, piles, hernia, difficulty in breathing, kidney issues, epilepsy, leg ulcers, swollen legs, difficulty in urinating, drug addiction, mental disorder, and appendicitis, etc.

Among the recipients of prayer were women seeking safe delivery of their babies and those troubled by fibroids, ovarian cysts and pelvic inflammatory disease, etc. As Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists offered prayer in the name that is above every other name, God’s incredible power sent demons howling in discomfort before scurrying off. For the people, faith saw the invisible, believed the impossible and received the incredible!

Bitterness Turned To The Sweetness Of Grace!

At the start of the Mass Prayer session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua said to congregants, “The joy of the Lord will never depart from your life, home, family, generation, in the name of Jesus.” After citing Scripture, she then told the people: “Ask God Almighty to restrain you from every sin. Ask that God Almighty give you utterance. Ask God Almighty to sanctify you from every unrighteousness.”

The woman of God prayed for the people: “I command sin’s power over you to be broken, in the name of Jesus Christ.” She went on, “Do not doubt your faith; doubt your doubt. God Almighty will go before you to devour every fear.” She also told the people to pray: “Father, restore my confidence. Restore my hope in You.” Upon congregants she declared: “Receive your healing, deliverance, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let there be freedom for you, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Turning to viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “Father, subject all their troubles under your care, in the name of Jesus Christ! Everything that is not planted by You – be uprooted, in the name of Jesus Christ. Turn their darkness into shining light, in the name of Jesus. Turn their bitterness into the sweetness of your grace, in the name of Jesus. Be freed, be healed, in the name of Jesus Christ! Be delivered from every entanglement, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Evangelist Chisom told the people to declare: “Every spirit that is not of God troubling my life, business – out, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every spirit from my past disturbing my present and my future – anywhere you are, Holy Ghost Fire: Out!”

Evangelist Joseph prayed: “Every familiar spirit operating in your body, spirit, soul – Holy Ghost Fire: Out! You familiar spirit – I command you: Out!”

Evangelist Ope told the people to pray: “You spirit of affliction disturbing my family – anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist James told congregants: “Every hindrance to your forward movement – begin to command it out in the name of Jesus.” He told them to declare: “You storm in my business, career, finances, family – be calmed, in the name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua told the people to declare: “Every organ that is not functioning in my system, faculty – begin to function, in the name of Jesus!” He also prayed: “You fibroids – right now I command you out, in the name of Jesus! You are freed, in the name of Jesus! You evil spirit – vacate! By the power of the Holy Ghost – begin to function, in the name of Jesus!” Finally, he told them to proclaim: “It is well with my soul, spirit, body, career, home!”

Anointing Rescues Vivian On The Last Day Of 2023!
All through her growing years, Vivian struggled with difficulty in breathing due to asthma. “I depended on a special drug to restore me during attacks,” she told the church on January 7, 2024. On one occasion, during her national service year, Vivian had an attack that nearly took her life, frightening her friends. “In fact, officials asked me to leave camp altogether and sent me to a hospital in the city,” she continued. Not long afterwards, she went home to see her parents but failed to take her inhaler. “I suffered another terrible attack and the doctors were really angry with me for failing to take my inhaler,” she said. Following a touch by Pastor Evelyn Joshua on December 31, 2023, Vivian experienced God’s healing power in a mighty way. “I felt something come out of me and my breathing became normal,” she smiled excitedly. Since that day, Vivian has been living freely. “I no longer run away from air-conditioning,” she went on. She advised people to run to God over their issues. “God is the only One that can give you a perfect solution,” she concluded.

Spirit Husband Bows To Jesus Christ!
Although the spirit in Chinenye had been pretending to be mild and gentle during the deliverance session that exposed it on December 31, 2023, it eventually felt the fire of the Holy Spirit as an evangelist uttered words of authority against it. Minutes later, the demon fled and the body it had inhabited fell flat on the floor. “A spirit husband had been bothering my life, always trying to get intimate with me at night,” the South Africa-based Nigerian said on January 7, 2024. She also used to see herself in a cage. “I would try to get out but I wouldn’t be able to,” she added. After marriage, the spirit husband continued to torment Chinenye and prevent her from showing affection to her real husband. “A friend had a dream in which she tried to pray for me but a giant man threatened her,” Chinenye further said. On discovering Emmanuel TV in February 2023, she began to build her faith, now certain that she had found a church where she could be delivered. “Along the line, I had dream encounters with Prophet TB Joshua, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the evangelists; then I saw myself do battle with the spirit husband,” she disclosed. Since receiving the touch that set her free, Chinenye has entered into a life of freedom. No longer does she have nightmares or visits from the spirit husband. She has also developed affection for her husband. “Do not negotiate with any demonic spirit; seek God and He will come through for you,” she advised others.

Little Boy Witnesses God’s Power Through Anointed Touch
For some time, little Efe had been suffering from a swollen jaw. Of course, his parents had been taking him for medical help, but little or no improvement happened. Efe could not open his mouth, so he could barely eat, his father told the church on January 7, 2024. On December 10, 2023, Efe had received prayer in The SCOAN as an evangelist ministered and since then he has been fully fit. “Look up to God for help; God is indeed in The Arena Of Liberty,” Efe’s father advised the world. Efe demonstrated his healing by praising God Almighty.

And God Saved Israel From The Hands Of Brutal Kidnappers!
Before leaving home for an interstate trip, Israel had prayerfully ministered the New Morning Water. Along the way, the vehicle in which he was riding broke down on a lonely road. While the vehicle was being fixed, Israel heard a voice that urged him to take a stroll away from the vehicle. Minutes later, he heard gunshots. Kidnappers were on the prowl. “They pursued me on foot and on a bike, aiming futilely at me,” he told congregants on December 7, 2024. Israel ran with a supernatural force that prevented the kidnappers from catching up with him. “I saw a pit and jumped into it and even though the kidnappers kept firing into the pit, they couldn’t hit me,” he went on. After some time, the attack subsided and Israel managed to call his wife and ask her to contact the church for prayer. “She came to the church and received prayerful assurances,” he recalled. When the siege was over, Israel came out and bowed down before the Lord in gratitude. “There is God here in The Synagogue,” he said, adding that people should take their spiritual items seriously. His wife recalled how she had almost gone berserk as she received that call. “I dashed off to church with our little baby,” she said. She said that the evangelists had calmed her down with words of assurance. “Don’t call him; he will be the one to call you when God rescues him,” she was told. And call Israel did! “I was beside myself with joy when I saw my husband again,” she said. “Hold firmly to God; your own miracle is a done deal,” she encouraged others. “There is no one like God,” she reminded others.

Giant Man Defeated, Miraculous Birth Of Baby Emmanuel!
Godwin used to be a stubborn kid. “I recall flogging my mates while in school; I saw myself as some kind of giant,” he began his testimony on December 7, 2024. Apparently, there was a powerful demon living in him. In one strange incident, Godwin had caused armed robbers to flee their home after he spoke boldly to them. “I declared that they would not see the end of that day – and so it happened,” he disclosed. He also testified about the healing of his wife’s sores after surgery for her baby. “A mass of pus and blood came out from the place where she was sewn up,” he said. Continuing the testimony, Godwin told of how the devil had tried to claim his wife’s life during the pregnancy. “She was bleeding so much and almost at the point of death,” he said. Although he had been troubled by the situation, he had exercised faith by placing the Anointing Sticker on his wife’s chest. “I also poured the Anointing Water in her mouth,” he said. In some kind of escapist move, Godwin then went on a trip in the midst of it all. On the way he had a vision in which he saw angels tending to his wife. “I woke up and got a call informing me that my wife had been revived,” he testified. He advised people to believe in God. “When you put your trust in God, everything will go well for you,” he said. “The God of this ministry never fails; have faith in God in all you do,” he advised the world. Godwin’s wife carried baby Emmanuel on her lap during the testimony. Thank You, Jesus!

Set Free From After Deciding To Fulfil Pledge To Testify
“She is hiding one testimony,” confessed the demon in Ilaye during the deliverance session of the service of December 31, 2023. The demon went on, “I gave her ovarian cysts and fibroids because she failed to testify 10 years since receiving the gift of a child from the God of Prophet TB Joshua.” During her testimony on January 7, 2024, Ilaye went back to her childhood. “I used to eat food sacrificed to idols and I always dreamt of being inside the water, with fish playing with my feet,” she said. In those dreams she used to get fed by a spirit husband. “He would feed me with stones, blades and other strange items especially during my period,” she added. Realising that she needed help, Ilaye started coming to The SCOAN. “Then I started to have dream encounters with images of Prophet TB Joshua,” she went on. In one of the encounters, she was asked to change her prayer point. “Ask for mercy,” the image of the man of God told me. Eventually, Ilaye fell pregnant while still seeing her menses. “I was strong all through, and during the delivery process I ministered the Morning Water, against the doctor’s advice,” she said. Within minutes, Ilaye had her child. “I failed to testify about my boy’s birth even though I had come to The SCOAN to do so,” she confessed. “My baby cried all through the journey back home,” Ilaye said. Ten years later, in search of another child, Ilaye was reminded by her mother that she had failed to testify about her first child. To the glory of God, Ilaye was set free by the Holy Spirit on the last day of 2023. Since then, she has parted ways with the spirit of anger. Her son confirmed being free with her now. “I approach her more easily,” he told the church.

Appendicitis Healed By The Anointing!
For the last five years, Adeniran had been suffering from a severe cough. “I could not laugh hard, otherwise I would start to feel so much pain,” he told the church on January 7, 2024. After getting the diagnosis of appendicitis, Adeniran informed his sister. “She asked me if I believed in God and I said I did,” he recalled. Adeniran then came to The SCOAN for prayer, as advised by his sister. “I received a touch on December 31, 2023 and the evangelist declared me free in Jesus’ name,” he said. Subsequent tests have now confirmed Adeniran to be free from appendicitis. “Believe in God; there is nothing He cannot do,” he advised others. His sister, Folashade, also advised people to stick with God.

For The First Time, Aisha Experiences God’s Deliverance Power!
From Australia, Aisha had attended The SCOAN Sunday Service of December 31, 2023 – and God’s Spirit had impacted her. She returned for her testimony a week later. “From the age of four, I had been having dreams in which I saw myself in the marine world,” she started. In hindsight, Aisha could tell that those dreams played a part in the division in her family. “I kept seeing skeletons and masquerades in those dreams,” she continued. On a certain occasion, the demon in Aisha caused her to faint as it tried to take her life.
