After the opening prayer for the service of May 28, 2023, The SCOAN Choir started the worship session with songs of thanksgiving and adoration before asking for the Holy Spirit to take control of the people’s lives. They also led congregants to declare their readiness to receive from the Throne Of Grace. They sang, “We Wait On You, O Lord!” In time, the atmosphere in The Arena Of Liberty started to burn with the fire of the Holy Ghost, causing many to open up their hearts to Heaven.

Evangelist Chisom soon joined congregants for the sermon, entitled “Love Activates Faith” – a message that typified the life and times of God’s mightily anointed servant Prophet TB Joshua. He read from Hebrews 11:6, Galatians 5:6 and 1 Corinthians 13:13 as he shared insights on the link between love and faith in the Christian race. Contrary to what many tend to believe in Christendom, he said, love is better valued by Heaven than faith, for true faith expresses itself through love.

He explained that believers are expected to show love to God first, then to their neighbours, who need not be people of the same religion, denomination, race or social status as them. To back up his points he also read from Matthew 7:22-23, Matthew 25:37-40, 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 and 1 John 4:16, saying: “You will see that God Almighty looks at and values our acts of love more than the proceeds of faith. Faith brings us to God but love keeps us in God.”

Before ending the sermon Evangelist Chisom gave a glowing description of love as follows: “Love is warmer than any sun, bigger than any universe and richer than any mineral. Love is patient. Love is kind. Love does not envy; it does not boast. Love does not look down on others. Love does not rejoice when others fall; rather it rejoices when others do well. Love does not judge. Love sees beyond religion, tribe, colour, race, ethnicity, educational background. Love sees beyond languages because love has a language that transcends all languages. Love looks around to see those who are in need. This is the love we are talking about – the love of Christ, the love that activates, energises faith.”

Prayer Remains The Master Key!

“Wonderful Jesus! Glorious Jesus!” declared Pastor Evelyn Joshua on joining congregants for the Prayer Line ministration. Among other requests to Heaven, she prayed: “Father, teach us how to know You more and more and more, and lift off our burdens, in the name of Jesus Christ! Father, help us to walk with You, in the name of Jesus Christ! Lord God Almighty, we ask You to give us greater spiritual light, power, understanding to see you working in our lives. Let your blessings be ours, in the name of Jesus Christ! Spirit of the Living God, take Your place in this house today! In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray!”

Standing on the believer’s authority, the woman of God then proceeded to break the chains of darkness in the lives of the believing. Among the cases that received God’s attention were arm/leg fracture, swollen belly/legs, knee pain, leg ulcers, piles, fire burns, asthma, hernia, rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, fibroids, abdominal pain, heart attack, brain tumour, sickle cell anaemia, liver cancer, prostate cancer, split personality, autism, epilepsy, mental disorder, drug addiction and addiction to eating soil.  

Believing women also came with petitions to God regarding their pregnancies, while others presented issues such as breast lumps, ovarian cysts, miscarriages and bleeding due to fibroids.

In the Laying Of Hands session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists moved to other parts of the Main Auditorium to minister prayers of healing, deliverance and breakthrough for the ultimate salvation of the people’s souls.

None Was Left Out!

“Prepare your mind,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua urged congregants at the start of the session of prayers not limited by distance or time. “Today is your day of encounter with Christ Jesus,” she assured the people. She prayed: “Your life of lying, hatred, manipulation will be broken, in Jesus’ name! Every entanglement you have with satan – we command it out now, in the name of Jesus Christ! May the promises of God for your life, family, generation remain forever, in the name of Jesus! Let there be light in your dark moments! Let there be light in your way! Be healed, in Jesus’ name! I command the light of God into your life, in the name of Jesus!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua then turned to the viewers, “Begin to release yourself from every limitation, ancestral cage!” She prayed: “I release you from every trouble, challenge, limitation and all that is not of God, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Evangelist James prayed: “By the light of God – you darkness, be dispelled!” He also told them: “That spirit stealing from your life, family – spirit of killing, stealing and destruction – command it out now, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Joseph prayed: “You familiar spirit, evil spirit, unclean spirit – anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist Chisom told congregants to pray: “You spirit causing me sickness, disease – I command you by the Blood of Jesus: Out!”

Evangelist Ope told congregants to pray: “Every covenant with poverty, hardship in my family – I speak to you in the name of Jesus: Be broken!”

In a Mass Prayer clip, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “Whatever you must have eaten in the dream or at the table of the enemy – I command it out! Receive freedom! Anywhere there is hidden sickness, affliction in your blood, lungs, kidneys – I command it out. Receive breakthrough! Receive freedom, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

“God Has Done It!” Declares Father Of Young Man Healed Of Broken Hip

On May 21, 2023, Prosper was in The Arena Of Liberty for prayer over the problem of difficulty in walking due to a hip injury that he sustained while playing football. The situation had made it hard for the young man to focus on his studies, even as he required his family’s help for moving around. However, as God’s power fell upon him during prayer ministration by Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Prosper received his perfect healing and can now move around as briskly as he used to. Moreover, his shortened leg has now straightened out, hence the disappearance of the limp that he had come to church with. “Have faith in God,” he advised others before ending his testimony on May 28. His father, Kingsley, told of the challenges that the family had faced in the course of seeking a solution to the problem. “God has done it!” he declared.

Anointing Ends Five Years Of Sand-Eating Addiction!

For five years, a demon had succeeded in making Irene, a Ghanaian schoolteacher, to relish eating sand. As the addiction persisted, ulcers crept into Irene’s stomach. The addiction had started one fateful day as pregnant Irene and her husband sat outside the house for fresh air. “I’m having cravings for that sand over there,” Irene had confessed to her husband, pointing insistently. “Don’t do it,” he had warned her, “or you’ll get addicted to it.” However, because the cravings were intense, Irene’s husband had relented. From that day onwards, Irene could not stop desiring the strange ‘meal’, hence the ulcers that she developed subsequently. “Because of the ulcer pains, I couldn’t do my job effectively as a teacher,” Irene recalled. Despite taking drugs for the ulcers, Irene continued eating sand and her situation worsened, as she also came down with piles. “My colleagues thought I was antisocial because I would hide from them during breaks while I ate sand,” she told the church on May 28, 2023 – a week after her deliverance in The Arena Of Liberty. Regarding her journey to deliverance, Irene said that a dream encounter with an image of Prophet TB Joshua had persuaded her on the need to visit The SCOAN for prayer. “I felt a cold sensation all over my body,” Irene said about how he had she felt when Pastor Evelyn Joshua laid anointed hands on her. “Since then I’ve had no appetite for eating sand – I just walk past it,” Irene smiled. Sandra from Rivers State testified about her deliverance from the spirit of disfavour and hatred. “People just disliked me for no reason,” she told the church on May 28, 2023 – a week after her deliverance by God’s power. She then went ahead to tell a story about how she had been wrongfully accused of sleeping with two men in the bush, during her days in the village. “It took the intervention of witchdoctors to free me from the accusation,” she said. Nnenna told the story of her deliverance from the malicious idol of her father’s house that had troubled her life for decades. She said the idol dogged her footsteps from her teens into her marital home. “My marriage was loveless,” she sighed, “and miscarriages were quite common.” Despite visiting various places for solutions, Nnenna’s problems continued. Marital Bliss Gained As Spirit Wife Is Sent Packing!

“Lion, python, spirit wife.” Those were the identities of the entities that claimed to be running Roland’s life as the fire of the Holy Ghost burned through them on Sunday, May 21, 2023. A week later, Roland returned to testify. “I used to make love in the dream,” he began. “Later the woman betrothed herself to me and from then on my life became a mess,” he continued. As time went on, the young man defied his parents to marry a young woman they didn’t want him to. “It was a very bad marriage and I had to run away in the end,” Roland admitted. Meanwhile, the spirit wife carried on with its cruel activities in Roland’s life. “I married another wife and soon started facing challenges with the spirit wife, who forced me to abandon this new wife,” he said in a tone of regret.
