It was a most impactful worship session that kick-started The SCOAN Sunday Service of August 13, 2023. The songs focused on the power of the Holy Spirit as enabled by the Word to do exploits in the people’s lives. From one song to the next, congregants felt an increasing lifting of their spirits as a heavenly aura overshadowed the auditorium. Some of the people vomited the sources of affliction in their systems, while others saw the anointing work in other ways in their bodies. It was indeed a sign of what was to come during the rest of the service, as God manifested Himself mightily yet again in The Arena Of Liberty. 

Once he joined the church for the day’s sermon, Evangelist James reminded them: “If God be for you, who can be against you?” It was a prelude to impressing upon them the need to meditate constantly on God’s Word as a way to stay on the divine path. “KEEP YOUR HEART” was the title of the message and its proof text came from Proverbs 4:20-23. The preacher cited bits of Scripture warning Christians against merely invoking God’s name without loving Him truly. On that note, he stressed the need to surrender one’s heart to God, making it a contact point with the Throne Of Grace.

Evangelist James urged congregants to resist giving in to satan in their hearts, for their level of Kingdom breakthrough would be dependent on how much they allow godly thoughts to lead them. “Remember, blessed are those who are pure in heart,” he told them while also reminding them that prayer from an impure heart will not be answered. Consequently, he told them to look inwards and search their conscience instead of playing the victim when their prayers appear not to be answered.

According to Evangelist James, “A good heart brings a good character; only your character can testify to your confession of Christ.” That being so, he advised believers to stick with God, insisting thus: “When the Word is planted in our hearts, that is when it can become health to your flesh, light to your path, a map to the lost and a key to open and close doors.” He concluded by encouraging congregants to make God’s Word the standard for their lives.

And They Received All Of God’s Blessings!

On joining the people for the Prayer Line/Laying Of Hands ministration, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “Father Lord, we bless Your holy name. We thank You for this glorious morning. Lord God, we thank You, because whenever we call, You hear us. Father, we are here again waiting for You; our soul is waiting for You, because in Your Word is our hope. In Your Word is our life. In Your Word is our healing. In Your Word is our deliverance. In Your Word are our blessings. Father, in Your Word is our salvation. There is forgiveness with You, O Lord! Therefore, You shall be feared! O Lord God Almighty, do to us today according to Your Word, in the name of Jesus Christ! Fill us with Your laughter, joy, peace and let all the glory be returned to You! In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray!”

The woman of God proceeded to pray for people with difficulty in walking, breast pain, asthma, low sperm count, osteoarthritis, sleep apnea, blood infection, neck tumour, prostate enlargement, and piles, etc.

Pregnant women also received a touch from Heaven, thereby stepping into their freedom from satanic spells upon their wombs.

Alongside the woman of God, the evangelists prayed for people with piles, epilepsy, mental disorder, leg ulcers, difficulty in urinating, burns from hot oil, swollen body, cataracts, and hypertension, etc. Indeed, inside The Arena of Liberty, fire from Heaven surged into the people and burned every untoward thing in their systems as God worked through the faculties of His servants

Prayer That Silenced The Accuser

“May the joy of the Lord never depart from your home,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared upon the people at the start of the Mass Prayer session. “Get ready to set yourself free from every doubt, fear, worry,” she added. She also told the people to state: “My accuser – be quiet!” Then she urged congregants: “Every spirit of frustration, anxiety, worry – speak them out right now, in the name of Jesus!”

The woman of God further prayed: “May your foundation, pillar receive deliverance, in the name of Jesus Christ! May your foundation be purged, in the name of Jesus Christ! Everything that is bound in your life – be loosed, in the name of Jesus Christ! Be healed! Be freed! Be delivered!” Next, she told them to place their hand on their chest as she prayed: “I command every trouble, burden there to get out, in the name of Jesus! Any trouble you cannot discuss with others – I command it out, in the name of Jesus Christ!” She equally urged the people: “Ask God to replace the tension within you with a quiet confidence.”

Addressing viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua said: “Ask Jesus to prepare you for battle, victory. Ask Him to prepare you for progress, success, freedom. Everything that is scattered in your life – begin to gather it right now by the Blood Of Jesus!” She also asked them to decree: “All that is scattered in my life – be gathered! Frustrate the hand of darkness out of my life.”

Evangelist James told the people: “Every contrary, unclean, familiar spirit frustrating your efforts – command it out, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Ope urged congregants to declare: “You spirit of delay in my career – anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist Joseph prayed: “Every spirit that is a messenger of satan sent against your health, body – Out!” He also asked them to affirm: “You sickness in my body, you poison in my blood – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out!”

Evangelist Chisom told the people to pray: “You spirit, the cause of my sickness, disease – anywhere you are – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! You unclean spirit blocking my way, disturbing my business, career – anywhere you are – listen to the voice of God: I command you out!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua urged the people: “Affliction in my bones, blood, tendons, sickness, disease – right now, command it out! Right now, begin to command it to leave you – your blood, your fluids, your tendons.” He also prayed: “At the command of Jesus, I say to affliction in your life – leave!”

“Doctors Treat But God Heals,” Says Woman Healed Of Ulcerous Wound

On Sunday, March 5, 2023, Rita was among those who received prayer over leg ulcer as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered at the Prayer Line. She had been trying to kill a troublesome cockroach when she fell off the stool on which she had been standing. It was a very bad fall in which Rita’s leg got badly injured, with a considerable amount of flesh chopped off. Doctors demanded to have the bit of flesh so that they could cover the gaping wound. But the piece of flesh could not be found and Rita stood the risk of having her leg condemned. Every form of subsequent treatment that she got failed to improve her situation until she took the case to God. “I slept peacefully for the first time after that prayer,” she recalled. Before ending her testimony of healing on August 13, 2023, Rita advised the world: “Trust God; doctors treat but God heals.”

The Deliverance That Brought Healing And Peace Of Heart!

On August 13, 2023, Joy began her testimony by recalling how she had used to clean up the room where her grandfather worshipped ancestral spirits. Apparently, the spirits had taken a liking to her, so they kept following her around, even in the physical realm. The spirits made her unfriendly and caused her to have constant dreams in which she saw herself in the marine world. “There was a time I was told I slept for two straight days, during which time I was active in the spirit world,” she recalled. She also said that her hands and feet used to get wet at night. In marriage, Joy also had a difficult time. In one instance, after a surgery, she noticed that she could not heal. “There is nothing we can do about it,” her doctors said. To the glory of God, Joy received her deliverance on August 6 as an evangelist prayed for her. Since then, she has broken her ties with all foul spirits. “I no longer feel pain or get scared,” she added. She advised people to have faith in God.    

Kidney Stones Obey God’s Voice!

One morning, Cecilia woke up with severe pain all over her body. She went to a clinic, where drugs were prescribed for her. Two weeks later, the situation remained the same, so the doctors gave her a second line of drugs. Eventually, it was discovered that Cecilia had kidney stones. “You will need surgery, and it is a 50-50 case,” doctors warned her. She declined surgery. She then met someone who told her about God’s power. On June 18, 2023, Cecilia managed to make it to The SCOAN, where Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. “After that prayer, I became healed and no longer felt pain,” she testified on August 13, 2023. She advised people to run to God.

Freed From Spirit Husband!

“I want to thank God for delivering me from a spirit husband,” began Agnes as she shared her testimony on August 13, 2023. She told of how the demon had used to make her have real-life intimacy after dream encounters with men. She said it also made her childhood a difficult time, even as her marriage failed to provide happiness. “Anytime the demon made love to me, I would not be interested in my husband and we would fight,” she disclosed.
