In the house of God, The I Am That I Am, the people acknowledged the power of grace as they started the worship session on July 27, 2025, their voice ringing out: “Hallowed Be Your Name, Lord And Majesty/Divine Authority!”
In line with God’s Word at Psalm 146:2—“I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live”—they sang from the depths of their hearts, with different waves of emotion washing across their faces.
Having pled for forgiveness, they sang: “I Am No Longer Slave To Sin!” Soon, congregants started to fall under the power of the anointing as the choristers declared: “O Lord, Your Presence Is Heaven To Me!”
SCOAN Sunday Sermon: God – The I Am That I Am
“The God of Prophet TB Joshua is in the house,” declared Evangelist Ope as he joined Congregants for the sermon. Among many other passages, he read from Exodus 15:11, 1 Samuel 2:2, Revelation 4:11, Deuteronomy 7:12, Revelation 7:12, Deuteronomy 32:39-40, Exodus 3:13-14 and John 8:57-58.
With most of the passages being familiar to Christians as the lyrics of well-known worship songs, Evangelist Ope had the choristers on cue as he did the readings for the sermon, entitled “God – The I Am That I Am”.
The message focused on the attributes of God and the benefits of knowing Him deeply through His Word and by His Spirit. “God and His Word are one,” he observed, “and God’s Word reflects His character.”
He further described God’s Spirit as a Revealer of deep things through the Word. In an interesting observation, Evangelist Ope stated that it is “easier to say who God is not than to say who He is,” thus confirming the inscrutable nature of the Creator. According to the evangelist, God is who He says He is via His Word, the Bible.
Among God’s attributes are holiness, perfection, infinite intelligence and independence, immortality, infiniteness, immateriality, omnipotence, omniscience, omnipresence, incorporeality, invisibility, and limitlessness.
Despite these qualities, however, the Adonai, the Elohim and the El- Eyon remains accessible, reachable, relatable, approachable and knowable.
Evangelist Ope therefore urged believers to worship God in truth and in Spirit as a way of maintaining an unbreakable relationship with Him that guarantees eternal life.
The SCOAN Youth Convention 2025
Brimming with excitement from the success of The SCOAN Youth Convention 2025, held only two days previously, Pastor Evelyn Joshua thanked everyone for their support and stated how proud she was of the over 3,000 youths who showed up for the event.
God – The I Am That I Am Opened The Floodgate Of Blessings
The woman of God prayed: “Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for the joy You have bestowed upon our lives. Father, we thank You for the grace to see the beauty of Your work around us.
Almighty God, we thank You that we can step out each day to face every situation with the knowledge of Your loving, caring and sovereign will for our lives.
We thank You for the life of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who lived our life, shared our pain and overcame death for us. Almighty God, we just came to say thank You this morning for all the way long You have been so good to us.
Father, we ask for the grace to continue to run to You in every situation. Father, open the floodgate of Heaven. Let Your reign of blessing, favour, healing, protection, victory fall afresh on us today, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
SCOAN Prayer Line: Healing and Deliverance Seekers
At the Prayer Line, the people received the incredible because their faith had helped them to see the invisible and to believe the impossible.
Among the first set of prayer recipients were those under the yoke of hyperthyroidism, difficulty in walking, alcohol addiction, kidney infection, bleeding, duodenal stenosis, and asthma.
With God’s Word at Psalm 127:3 on her mind—“Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him”—Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared the anointing of ease upon women at different stages of pregnancy.
The next set of healing seekers included people with epilepsy, leg ulcers, skin disease, prostate enlargement, mental disorder, growth in the head, and hernia, among others. To the Lord who forgives all their sins, heals all their diseases, redeems their lives from the pit and crowns them with love and compassion, the people said, “Thank You.”
Furthermore, the same power that healed, saved and blessed in Bible times was also available during the general Laying Of Hands session. As the woman of God and the evangelists stretched forth their hands, Jesus Christ came on the scene!
Finally, during the One-On-One session, the evangelists commanded: “Out, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!”
Mass Prayer: God – The I Am That I Am Heard The Voice Of Their Prayer
The Evangelists Rebuked Every Unclean Spirits
“Give thanks to God – He alone is worthy of your thanksgiving,” Evangelist James told the church.
Evangelist James prayed: “Every unclean spirit that robs you of your joy, your peace, that unclean spirit that causes you sleepless nights, that hinders your relationships – be rebuked, in the name of Jesus! You ancestral spirit, you family idol, enough is enough – I command you: Out!”
“You spirit that queries my existence, that frustrates my business – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!” Evangelist Ope charged the people to pray.
Thereafter, Evangelist Joseph declared upon the congregation: “All spirits of affliction that have planted sickness, disease in your body – out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost! All hidden sicknesses planted by the enemy of your soul – Out!”
Evangelist Chisom asked the people to pray: “You spirit – anywhere you are tormenting my business, career – I command you: Out, in the name of Jesus!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua Stood on the Believer’s Authority
Taking over, Pastor Evelyn Joshua stood on the believer’s authority to decree: “May God hear the voice of your prayer, your distress today, in the name of Jesus! May His compassion and favour locate you today, in the name of Jesus!
Any principality, any power that wants to prevent your prayer from being answered today – be disorganised, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua went on: “Every doubt in your heart – we command it to turn to strong faith, in the name of Jesus! Unbelief in you – turn to believing faith, in the name of Jesus!
Every weakness in you – turn to strength, in the name of Jesus! Every darkness in you – we command it to turn to shining light, in the name of Jesus!”
The woman of God carried on: “Your prayer for good health, for fruitfulness – be answered, in the name of Jesus! May you be led where you will not be afraid, in the name of Jesus! We command every turbulence in your life to be still, in the name of Jesus!”
Turning to the viewers, Pastor Evelyn Joshua charged them to declare: “In the name of Jesus, by the Blood of Jesus, by the power of the Holy Ghost – every disobedient spirit – spirit of immorality, spirit of lying – loose your grip on me, in the name of Jesus Christ!
May the enemy see God’s finger in my life and in my business – and praise my God! Father, restore my stolen joy, peace, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
Prophet TB Joshua Called on God – The I Am That I Am
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua proclaimed: “Every spirit that connects you to demons – be disconnected from them!”
The man of God asked the people to pray: “Cure me, Lord, from this sickness, from this disease! Whatever is in my bones, kidneys, liver – deliver me! Deliver me from that spirit holding my health, marriage, family, finances, career, future!”

He Came Crying But Left Laughing!
On April 27, 2025, when 61-year-old Glory sat for prayer in The Arena Of Liberty, he was sobbing uncontrollably. With a warm smile on her face, Pastor Evelyn Joshua moved towards him, knowing the power of the God she serves.
Minutes later, Glory stood up, the name of God having been glorified in his life. On July 27, 2025, he returned for his testimony. “It started 31 years ago,” he recalled, “as I was trying to lift a vehicle engine.” The motoring mechanic had heard a cracking sound in his back, leading to the problem that had dogged his life until April 27, 2025.
Glory had been managing the situation over the years, but things had worsened sometime last year. “I couldn’t eat and I walked with severe difficulty,” he told the church. One night, he had prayed to God for forgiveness before going to bed. “I had a dream in which Prophet TB Joshua urged me to go to The SCOAN for prayer,” he said.
In obedience, Glory made his way to the church – and the rest, as they say, is history! “God is the Solution to all fundamental issues of life,” he reminded others.
A Truck Driver Gets His Legs Back!
All the way from Germany, Emmanuel had come to The SCOAN for prayer on July 20, 2025. The truck driver Cameroonian national had been feeling body pain for the last five years. “My doctors said it was arts,” he told the church on July 27, 2025.
Emmanuel’s job was at stake. “At some point I could no longer work, meaning that I couldn’t earn,” he went on, noting that he had to turn down interview offers. Against all odds, however, Emmanuel managed to raise the funds to come to The SCOAN for prayer.
As the woman of God prayed for him, Emmanuel felt instant relief. Now, the sport-loving truck driver can return to work and sport. “Seek God always, not only when you are in crisis,” he advised others.
An Incredible Survival Story!
France-based Mathematics teacher Jean-Pierre had been in The SCOAN in June 2025. “I asked to join The Emmanuel TV Partners and I got the spiritual items from The SCOAN,” he told the church on July 27, 2025.
On getting home, Jean-Pierre showed his wife the items and they prayed together with them. Days later, while driving to work very early in the morning, Jean-Pierre’s car veered off the highway, in the middle of nowhere. “I crashed into a tree, stuck in the car two metres above the ground and not far from a water body,” he said.
Still trying to figure things out, Jean-Pierre miraculously heard a voice asking if anyone was there. “I quickly answered and that was how help came my way,” he said.
Despite the ghastliness of the accident, Jean-Pierre came out unscathed in any way. When the police arrived, they found it hard to accept that anyone had come out alive from the wreck.
“They kept asking me questions to prove that the vehicle was actually mine,” he said. Medical personnel were also surprised that Jean-Pierre had not only survived the accident but had done so unharmed.
Jean-Pierre advised others to trust in God’s power. “These spiritual items are not ordinary; God’s power dwells in them,” he asserted.
Young Oge Breaks Yoke Of Arthritis!
Despite being just 12 years old, Oge was suffering from arthritis. “The condition made it difficult for her to lead a normal life. On July 27, 2025, she started her testimony by narrating how she had been unable to partake in regular school activities.
“Some people called me a ‘sickler’, others called me an old woman and yet others called me ‘One Leg,” she said. Today, however, Oge has become whole – for the glory of God.
“Believe in Him,” she urged others. Oge’s mother expressed her gratitude to God, saying that her pastor had advised her to come to The Synagogue if she had faith that God would change Oge’s story. “I am so happy,” she declared.
She advised others, “Wait for God’s time of intervention.”
Stanley Breaks Free From World Of Darkness!
The demon in 23-year-old Stanley fancied itself as extremely stubborn. But, of course, it stood no chance against God’s power.
As the evangelist commanded fire on it on July 20, 2025, the demon made empty boasts but soon capitulated.
A week later, Stanley returned for the testimony of his deliverance from ancestral spirits. “I used to participate in ritual offerings made to the idols of my family,” he told the church.
Stanley was the favourite of his grandfather, who was a devotee of the idol. The spirit in the idol started murmuring into Stanley’s ears, making it difficult for him to sleep most nights. The spirit also afflicted Stanley with the spirit of lust.
“My grandfather gave me something that made it easy for me to command female attention,” he said. He also told of how the spirit gave him the spirit of anger.
“I equally had a spirit wife, who once stripped me naked one night as I slept in the same bed with a male friend,” he continued. It was the same spirit wife that had scuttled Stanley’s apprenticeship training abroad.
“My master sent me back to Nigeria before I could complete my training,” he explained. Bothered about his situation, Stanley cried to God for help. “Then I discovered Emmanuel TV and realised God could deliver me,” he said.
Following the deliverance, Stanley has begun to see evidence of a changed life. “For the first time, I slept easily and peacefully and had a dream in which Pastor Evelyn Joshua handed me a key, asking me to free the rest of my family,” said a smiling Stanley.
Now he no longer sees snakes or other strange things in his dream. He continued, “I prayed so much that I had to ask myself who was praying through me,” he said. He advised others to seek God and know Him.
Chioma Enters The Light Of God!
“I have caused multiple accidents. I made their shops burn. And she is bed-wetting.” Those were some of the confessions made by the demon in Chioma during the deliverance session of the service of July 20, 2025.
“I used to have different dreams,” she started on July 27. In one of the dreams Chioma saw masked men who claimed to be her family members. She also had another dream in which she saw that her mother had fainted.
“I rushed into her room that night to make sure my mother was fine,” Chioma said. She had refused to share her other dreams because she didn’t want to be asked to pray during the night.
Following a fainting spell, Chioma developed chest pain that made her breathing difficult.
“Since my deliverance, all the nightmares have disappeared and I no longer bed-wet, even as my breathing has become normal again,” she told the church.
She advised the youth to confide in their parents and seek God’s face over their issues.
Confirming the testimony, her father John disclosed that the devil had been attacking his family for years. “But I am grateful that the Lord has intervened,” he said, “as my daughter is no longer stubborn or in pain.”
He urged others, “Continue praying till the end of your life.” His wife Blessing advised other parents, “Seek God’s face over your children’s issues.”
