As recipients of grace, mercy and compassion, congregants in The SCOAN on July 14, 2024 excitedly expressed their gratitude to God with many songs, led by the choristers. Not bothered by sense evidence, they focused on faith in God and His Word, acknowledging that the key to receiving is not to suppress the flesh but to surrender to the Spirit of God. As the worship session carried on, many in the congregation could be seen falling under the influence of the Holy Spirit. “How Great Thou Art, O Lord!” they sang as they extolled their Helper.

When he joined the church for the sermon, Evangelist James reminded everyone: “The Word of God is pure and, therefore, very sure, so don’t doubt God’s Word.” He took his proof text from Matthew 3:16-17 and Matthew 4:1-4, then gave his sermon title as “DON’T DOUBT GOD’S WORD”.

Starting on an interrogative note, the evangelist asked whether people who are loved by God also fall ill or face trouble and persecution. His answer was, of course, predictable: God’s people also face life’s crises but God is always available to rescue them, even if in the nick of time. To enjoy this divine cover, however, the believer must stand on God’s Word. “One of satan’s tactics is to get you to doubt God’s Word,” he observed, “and to forget all God has given you and to focus on what you don’t have at present.”

The preacher cited the cases of Abraham and the children of Israel as two examples of reactions to God’s promises. According to him, while Abraham reacted as a person of faith to the angel’s prophecy about his future children with Sarah, the children of Israel ended up prolonging their journey in the wilderness because they failed to trust in God’s leading. On that note, he urged the people to focus on God’s promises for them and not to listen to the language of their situation. “The Word of God is the Sword of the Spirit,” the evangelist noted, and “it is living and powerful.”

Moving on in the message, Evangelist James exhorted congregants not to limit God’s work in their lives by doubting His Word. “When you are struggling with doubt,” he said, “take time to remember the way God has worked in your life.” He concluded by advising congregants to spend quality time with God’s Word. “Take time to splash around in God’s Word, to absorb it and to discover what God has to say to you each day,” he said, “because your life depends on knowing it.”

Their Day Of Rebirth And Renewal

At the Prayer Line, Pastor Evelyn Joshua sang: “Because He lives/I Can Face Tomorrow/Because He Lives/All Fear Is Gone!”

The woman of God prayed: “Father Lord, we are here this morning; we have come with our hearts and mouths full of praise. We are thankful, we are grateful for the lives of those whose words are truly our testimonies as spoken to us about Your goodness. Almighty God, we give You all the thanks this morning. Thank You for our worship, thank You for our service, thank You for our mission.”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed on: “Father, we ask You to lead us, guide us, fill us with Your strength and power for rebirth and renewal. O Lord God Almighty, we ask You to give us enough love to share, hope to encourage and wisdom to teach, in the name of Jesus Christ! O Lord God Almighty, Your children are here. Father, meet them at the point of their needs today. Bless them accordingly. Give them many more testimonies, in the name of Jesus Christ. Thank You, Lord! Thank You, Jesus!”  

Before proceeding to lay blessed hands on the people, Pastor Evelyn Joshua encouraged them on faith. “Do not doubt your faith in God,” she told them. “And don’t temp satan to tempt you,” she added, “because you have no power of your own and all your sufficiency is from God.”

As the woman of God moved in the midst of congregants, the anointing flowed freely to bring healing and deliverance for the salvation of souls. And none of the people’s problems embarrassed Jesus Christ – be it stiffness of the neck, swollen body, ankle cancer, duodenal cancer, alcohol addiction, kidney problems, asthma, mental disorder, bedwetting, or cervical spondylosis!   

Assured of the certainty of God’s Word, and having heard the testimonies of others, some women also brought their pregnancies before the Throne Of Grace.

As Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists continued to lay hands on the people in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, there was no hiding place for principalities and powers. For sure, in the One-On-One session, every knee surely bowed as every tongue confessed!

They Felt God’s Hands In Theirs!

To start the Mass Prayer session, Evangelist Chisom told the people: “May this joy be permanent, in the name of Jesus.”

Evangelist Chisom read from Psalm 66:18 and told the people to plead: “O Lord, free my heart from every iniquity that will stand to hinder my prayer.” He cited Ephesians 6:12 and prayed: “Every principality, every power of darkness operating in your life – in the name of Jesus, Out! You demon, unclean spirit operating in my life, operating in my family – anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist Joseph told the people to pray: “You principalities, powers, demons – I command you in the name of Jesus: Bow!”

Evangelist James urged congregants to declare: “You unclean spirit, the cause of sickness, the cause of disease – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! Every sickness tormenting my life – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out!”

Evangelist Ope told the people to decree: “You spirit of bad luck – I call you by your name; anywhere you are: Out!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for the people: “In your encounter with Christ Jesus today, old things shall pass away and all things shall become new.” Continuing she read from Isaiah 14:8 and prayed: “May the blessings of God in your life remain forever, in the name of Jesus! May the promises of God to your family remain forever, in the name of Jesus Christ! May you be celebrated where you have failed before! Every root cause of your problem – begin to wither, in the name of Jesus Christ! Light in your way, business, career, darkness, health, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

Turning to viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua asked them to stretch forth their hands and say: “Lord Jesus Christ, by Your mighty power, I want to feel Your hand in mine as I command every wind of pain, sorrow, setback, disappointment out of my life, in the name of Jesus!” She declared upon the people: “Breakthrough in your life, finances, career, in the name of Jesus! Freedom to your life, freedom to your way, freedom in your job, freedom to our nation, in the name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua decreed: “Let your challenges, your situation be ceased, in the name of Jesus! Receive freedom, in the name of Jesus! In every area where you are disturbed, tormented, receive freedom in the name of Jesus! Freedom in your health! Freedom in your business, in your marriage, in your family!” He told the people: “Those spirits that torment your life, career, finances, business – begin to tell them you are a child of God.” The man of God declared: “Let there be light in your faculties, organs, kidneys, liver, bones, fluids!”

Evidence Of The Anointing – “Go And Eat, Then Sleep.”

After praying for a woman at The Prayer Line, Pastor Evelyn Joshua told her in the name of Jesus: “Go and eat, then sleep.” The woman had been having mental issues and had been neither able to eat or sleep.”

Anointing Eliminates Evil Worms That Caused Skin Disease!

On April 14, 2024, when she received prayer in The Arena Of Liberty, 35-year-old Maureen had been suffering from a skin disease. But it was no ordinary skin disease, for the demon responsible for it did confess as the Holy Spirit exposed it. During its manifestation, the demon confessed its many other atrocities. Minutes later, Maureen’s body became calm. For her testimony, she returned to The Arena Of Liberty on July 14, 2024. She said the skin disease had started with a dream in which a maggot crawled into one of her fingers. On waking up, Maureen found that the finger was already looking strange. Rescued From Bondage Of Marine Kingdom

“We stop them from fulfilling their purpose on earth by drawing them away from their Creator and enticing them with the things of the world,” said the demon that had been bothering the life of 23-year-old Anita. The confession was made in The Arena Of Liberty during the service of July 7, 2024. To the glory of God, Anita entered a life of liberty that day. A week later, she returned for her testimony. “I came from a serpent-worshipping family,” she told the church, “and I always had dreams in which snakes chased me.” Anita also narrated how she used to see herself in the water, amidst marine spirits. “A man also used to sleep with me at night,” she added, “and I faced a lot of rejection and disappointment.” She also spoke about being afflicted with the spirits of lust and anger. Since her deliverance, Anita has come into a new life in Jesus Christ. “I no longer have those bad dreams and all my sinful desires are gone,” she disclosed. She advised the youths to move close to God. “You can’t find everlasting peace in the things of the world,” she emphasised.

Aduragbemi – The Baby Who Came At God’s Command!

Shukurah was heavily pregnant. A scan showed that her baby was in a sitting position. Scared, she told her mother about it. “I know no other person than the God of Prophet TB Joshua,” the older woman told her daughter. Then they came to the church and Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for Shukurah. A subsequent scan confirmed that Shukurah’s baby had now moved to a normal position. Shortly before her delivery, Shukurah returned to The SCOAN for prayer. “An evangelist prayed for me and gave me the Anointing Water and Sticker”, she said. To the glory of God, Shukurah had baby Aduragbemi on the way to the hospital! “Prayer does all things; let’s call on God,” Shukurah advised others. Her mother confirmed the testimony and glorified the God of Prophet TB Joshua. “God is our Refuge,” she stated.

Demonic Pot Destroyed As Linus Embraces Jesus Christ!

“I destroyed his business,” boasted the demon in Linus during the deliverance session of the service of July 7, 2024. Minutes later, the power of Jesus Christ liberated Linus. On July 14, 2024 he returned for his testimony. He told of how he had approached a witch doctor at a time of severe financial stress as a businessman. “He gave me a charm that was supposed to improve my finances,” Linus said, “but things worsened instead and I closed down the business.” On her part, a sister of Linus’ had been urging him to visit The SCOAN for the prayer of deliverance. “If God does not answer your prayer there,” his sister had stated, “then you can stop talking to me.” Glory be to God, Linus came to The SCOAN and the Holy Spirit ministered to him. Since then, he has become a free-spirited person and no longer gets intimate in his dreams. Now in God’s light, Linus advised young people to wait for God’s time. His sister Ifeoma gave a recap of the family’s troubles, narrating how she had been encouraging him to seek divine help. “My brother has changed so much – he is now calm and talks like a normal human being,” she said. “Only God can help us, and one day He will,” Ifeoma urged others.
