Son of David have mercy on me – The age of miracles has not passed; the Miracle Worker is still alive. The bank of miracles is in Heaven. “However, as it is written: ‘What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived” — the things God has prepared for those who love him’ ”(1 Corinthians 2:9). Therefore, let us not limit God in our prayer because He is rich beyond our dreams.
Knowing quite well how undeserving he was, blind Bartimaeus cried out, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” Brethren, all of us would not merit His mercy because our righteousness is like filthy rags before God. We are not healed, blessed and delivered because of the works of righteousness we have done (Ephesians 2:8-9) but in mercy God has called us and healed, delivered and saved us. All we need is God’s mercy and favour. Blind Bartimaeus prayed, “Son of David, have mercy on me” and he testified that God restored his sight. In mercy, you are not excluded.
“Son of David, have mercy on me. Let Your mercy and favour speak for me, in Jesus’ name!” If you mean it, this can be a soul-saving and life-changing prayer. As you say this anointed prayer with all your heart without ceasing, begin to feel the presence of God restoring your testimony – healing, blessing and setting you free and you shall share your testimony to the glory of God, in Jesus’ name!
