Whatever you do now that is not in line with God’s agenda for your life that seems to prosper will disappoint you in your greatest time of need. The ups and downs we see in the world today are a practical example of non-application of God’s agenda.  The book of Psalm 37:25 says, “I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.”

You are worried and upset about many things but only one thing is needed: God’s agenda! The question is: What is God’s agenda for you? If you are in God’s agenda, your situation is only a weapon God is using to preserve you. Your enemies think they are hurting you, not knowing that their hatred, evil plans, jealousy, envy and bitterness are weapons that God uses to preserve you. There is only one person who can get you out of the will of God and that is you.

Often God’s plan causes us to face problems, persecution, temptation, hurt and challenges – but we refuse to face them and run from the very things that will bring strength to our lives. If you are in God’s programme, often the things that look like an abortion of God’s plan for us actually end up being the road to its fulfillment, if we stay free from offence.
