1 Timothy 2:3 – 5 says, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.”
No one has the ability to come to God by himself; nobody has the power to save themselves. The realisation of our sinful nature and the conscious step towards repentance primarily comes from the person of the Holy Spirit. The eternal message of Salvation unveils the Truth to unbelievers, opening their eyes to see who God truly is, who they are before Him and what Christ did for them on the Cross of Calvary.
God gave His Son as a sin offering for us. When His Son ascended, He gave us His Spirit to help us maintain our salvation daily. The Lord Jesus Christ did not ascend to sit at the right hand of the Father alone; He also intercedes for us constantly. For God did not withhold His Son from us but allowed Him to die in our place to achieve His salvation plan. Through His salvation plan, we realise how much He loves and cares for us; before we started thinking of Him, God thought of us. Before we loved Him, He loved us; before we chose him, He chose us as His People. He still offers us the opportunity to choose Him each day through His salvation plan. God wants you saved!
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I thank You for Salvation and the sacrifice of Your Son, Jesus Christ; help me, Lord, to always love and chose You every day, in Jesus Christ’s name! Amen!
