DO NOT LET YOUR SIN DEFINE YOU

Proof Texts: John 8:1-11, Romans 8:1, 1 John 2:1-2

Many believers today are wallowing in the guilt of their sins and different voices keep telling them that they cannot be forgiven. This condemning voice constantly lies to them that their sins are too grievous and that they have run out of God’s mercy and grace.

Indeed, the devil is seeking to confuse believers by twisting the truth about God’s love and mercy. The enemy is trying hard to portray God’s mercy and love as limited, whereas Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us: “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness.”

As a child of God, what is that thing you have done that you think you can’t be forgiven for? Remember what the Bible says in Romans 5:8, “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this while we were still sinners Christ died for us.” The plain truth is that God’s love is for the entire world. He is for all sinners. To be sure, God’s gift of His son Jesus Christ is for us all.

So, stop listening to the voice of the enemy, for he is the thief of hope. John 10:10 tells us that “satan came to steal, kill and destroy but Jesus came to give life and life in abundance.” Satan’s voice keeps telling you that God is ashamed of you because you have failed too many times. Yet, the voice of God is saying, “I am not ashamed to be called your God.”

Have no doubt about this timeless fact: You are loved as a child of God. God created you for a purpose. You have the hope of spending Eternity in Heaven.

Prophet TB Joshua said, “What we see as failure is not failure at all from an Eternity perspective.”

People of God, Jesus Christ is aware of the frailty of our flesh and our many weaknesses. As such, we do not have any excuse not to repent. Jesus is inviting you to come boldly with your weaknesses to the Throne Of Grace.

Heaven is not for people who were perfect on earth. It is for those who have been forgiven and redeemed through the Blood of Jesus Christ. It is through our union with Christ that we receive the gift of righteousness, holiness and redemption.

Where have you missed the point, leading you to think you can never be forgiven? Stop wasting your time lamenting about your past failures!

Prophet TB Joshua taught us that broken things are useful in God’s hands. Our God is love and His love remains constant, unchanging. He is ready to accept you now as His own.

Emmanuel!

Prayer: O, Holy Spirit, come and make Yourself perfect in my weakness and make me whole again, in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
