DIVINE ABILITY

Isaiah 40:31 says, “But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.”

In our journey through life, we often encounter challenges and obstacles that can feel overwhelming. It is during these moments that we are reminded of the importance of seeking strength beyond our own capacity. This strength, known as divine ability, is the empowerment that comes from God. In times of struggle and uncertainty, turning to God allows us to find reassurance and renewed strength.

Divine ability enables us to accomplish what might otherwise be impossible. The Bible provides us with many examples of men and women of faith who, by relying on God, overcame daunting odds and achieved great things. Through faith, they discovered that God’s power is perfected in their weakness. Despite being a young shepherd boy, David was able to defeat the giant Goliath because he trusted in God’s power and not his own. Another powerful example is found in the life of Apostle Paul. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, we understand that God’s strength is made perfect in our weakness. When we acknowledge our limitations and rely on God’s divine ability, we are empowered to accomplish great things.

The Bible reminds us that waiting on the Lord is not a passive act, but one of hope, patience and trust. As we place our faith in God, we are assured that divine strength will be provided to help us rise above our challenges. With God’s presence, we are empowered to endure hardship, run without becoming weary and walk without fainting.

Ultimately, this message is a call to patience and faith. No matter the obstacles we face, God’s limitless strength and enduring support are available. By choosing to wait on the Lord, we open ourselves to the renewal and resilience needed to move forward, trusting that God is always there to lift us up and guide us.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, we ask that You continue to guide us and uplift us in times of struggle and uncertainty. Help us to wait on You with patience and faith, knowing that You will renew our strength and enable us to rise above our challenges, in Jesus’ name! Amen!
