BE CONSCIOUS OF YOUR WEAKNESS

Today, many of us no longer see ourselves as God sees us because we are no longer conscious of our sin – I mean, our weaknesses. That is why, instead of acknowledging our weaknesses before Him, we dare His purity and holiness when we come to His presence only to ask for His blessings.

“When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, ‘Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord!’ For he and all who were with him were astonished at the catch of fish which they had taken… And Jesus said to Simon, ‘Do not be afraid. From now on you will catch men.’” – Luke 5:8-10 NKJV

Here we see, before Jesus, Peter was conscious of his weakness and believed that Jesus knew him as a sinner. That was why he felt undeserving of His presence. In response to Peter’s attitude toward his sin, Jesus did not look at his past but rather gave birth to his future as a fisher of men.

In whichever way you come to His presence, you must believe that God knows who you were, who you are and who you shall be. Right now, begin to acknowledge your position as a sinner in need of forgiveness and say to God, “Dirty as I am Lord, You can still cleanse me”, because no one is too good or too bad to qualify for salvation.
