A rightful focus – In this world of distraction, it is very easy to get off track and lose focus. We live by sight when we give all our attention to the physical, which is temporary but as believers, we live by faith when we recognise our union with Jesus Christ in the Spirit. What is it that controls your life? Those who are controlled by divine-revelation truth are the people that examine all things in the light of God’s Word. Do you examine your situation in the light of God’s Word? What are you experiencing?
Stop focusing on your situation. Our focus as Christians should be only on what God has to say about our situation, not what our natural circumstances or the socio-economic and political situation in our country have to say. In all situations we should ask the Lord to open the eyes of our faith to see His protecting hand and to open our hearts to His faith, Word and Spirit so that we may understand what His will about our situation is. When you have a rightful focus, every time you act on the Word, something enters your spirit that increases your assurance. Assurance means you can boldly say, ‘I am what God says I am’. So, keep your focus! Identify your Source! (Hebrews 12:2)
