Are you aware that comparison kills joy? Have you ever found yourself engaging in the unwise game of comparing yourself to others, making you less appreciative of God’s wonderful blessings in your unique life? Do you know that, as a distinct creature, there is a set time for you to hit the height of your own special success? The truth is that God wants us to have an attitude of gratitude always, which manifests as a willingness to worship God cheerfully in both good and bad times.

With this in mind, congregants in The Arena Of Liberty started the service of May 4, 2025 with songs of appreciation. “Thank You For Every Moment Of Your Attention,” they sang. As they carried on magnifying the Lord, the atmosphere in The Arena Of Liberty became charged with heavenly presences. The more they lifted up their voices, the more glory descended. And the Lord rained down His power of healing, freedom and blessings upon all congregants.

Once he got on The SCOAN Altar, Evangelist David asked the people to proclaim, “I am the greatest product of the Holy Spirit.” After a few probing questions related to his message, he announced its title as “Comparison Kills Joy,” reading from Genesis 4:3-8 – the passage where Cain and Abel gave offerings to the Lord. On the lessons from the story, Evangelist David noted that we tend to make the mistake of comparing ourselves to others and end up feeling like failures.  

The reasonable thing to do, he observed, is to run only the race set before us by God Almighty – a unique race for which we have been specially equipped. As such, he continued, each person has their own appointed time for succeeding according to God’s design. Using the illustration of a race involving a cheetah, a giraffe and a snail, he said: “Imagine if the snail in our race tried to keep up with the cheetah. It would get exhausted, discouraged and eventually give up. That’s exactly what happens when we try to live like someone else.”

Evangelist David therefore encouraged the people to be patient and work strictly according to God’s calendar. How God executes His plan in people’s lives differs, he went on. Quoting Prophet TB Joshua, the evangelist stated that every person of vision will stay contented while striving to fulfil purpose. “When you have peace of heart, whatever others have will not bother you,” he reiterated. As he wound off the message, he said: “The best way to fight comparison is with gratitude. Instead of focusing on what you don’t have, start thanking God for what you do have.”

They Did Not Go Back Home The Same

“Fear not; you are loved by God,” Evangelist James told the people at the start of the Prayer Line ministration. “You will not go back home the same,” he assured them. He further urged congregants to exercise faith.

Relying on the power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, The SCOAN Evangelists ministered to cases of difficulty in walking, stroke, sinusitis, asthma, swollen belly, piles, hernia, leukemia, and heart enlargement, among others.

Based on God’s Word in Exodus 23:26, which says that none will miscarry or be barren, pregnant women also received a touch sanctioned by Heaven

As the evangelists proceeded with prayers of healing and deliverance, the Right Hand of God fell  upon cases of alcohol and smoking addiction, cancer of the lungs, fibroids, facial swelling, ulcers, protruded womb, and mental disorder, etc.

The ministration continued in the Laying Of Hands session, with hundreds more receiving a touch backed by Heaven.

Furthermore, during the One-On-One session, hidden battles became exposed and demons trembled. As John 1:5 says, “the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcomeit.”

And Their Yokes Were Broken!

“There is no God like our God – and that God is the God of Prophet TB Joshua,” Evangelist Ope reminded the people at the start of the Mass Prayer session. He charged them, “Thank God because yokes shall be broken today and burdens lifted.”

Evangelist Ope urged the people to pray: “Thou Son of David, by Your divine mercy, every yoke placed upon me, every burden placed upon my shoulders – be broken, in the name of Jesus! Every yoke of barrenness, poverty, frustration, setback, depression – be broken!”

Next, Evangelist Chisom prayed: “That cycle of limitation, frustration – be broken, in the name of Jesus! That spirit that is not of God operating in your life – unclean spirit, family idols, contrary spirits – anywhere you are, within and without: Out, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Joseph prayed: “Contrary spirits that have yoked you with sickness, affliction – anywhere they are: Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!” He also told the church to decree: “You sickness in my body, heart, kidneys, pain in my bones, poison in my system – I command you: Out, in the name of Jesus!”

“Whatever medium satan is using to connect me to himself – be it my past, my weakness – I am disconnected, in the name of Jesus!” Evangelist James asked the people to pray.

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “Every spirit that is not of God – evil spirit, nightmares – Out! You affliction – Out! You fibroids, cancer, diabetes, hypertension – Out! You disease – be flushed out, in the name of Jesus!” The man of God then led the church to pray: “Lord Jesus, wash me with Your precious Blood.”

Anointing Heals Bizarre Ankle Dislocation

On January 28, 2024, Joseph sat for prayer in The SCOAN over the problem of a severe ankle dislocation that had originated from the spirit realm. “It started with a nightmare in which some strange people tapped me on the ankle,” he told the church on May 4, 2025. Later in the morning, he joined his friends for a game of football. “It was there that I physically sustained the injury that had been programmed for me,” he continued. Bizarrely, Joseph’s left foot had turned backwards. “It was a shock to all of us,” he recalled, “and I was in excruciating pain.”

At the time, a bonesetter happened to have been passing by. He advised that the foot be turned back to its natural position immediately. “I fainted from the incredible pain caused by that effort,” Joseph told the church. From then on, he started using various medications, including orthodox and traditional ones. “Yet, the pain continued,” he said. After receiving prayer as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered, however, Joseph began his journey of speedy recovery. “Later that night, I had a spiritual visitation in the dream wherein surgery was performed on me by figures dressed in white,” he said. Today, Joseph can do all that he had been unable to do while he was in pain. He advised people to take their dream revelations seriously and to seek God’s help always.

After Seven Years, Patience Sees Her Menses Again!

For over five months in 2019, Patience had appeared to be pregnant – until her doctors proved otherwise. “My menses ceased afterwards,” she told the church on May 4, 2025. For a good seven years, she had run from pillar to post, seeking a solution that wasn’t forthcoming. “A friend told me about The Synagogue and I decided to come for prayer,” she said. The situation had troubled the young woman, forcing her to quit her fashion design job. It also made her keep to herself most times. “I took up a job as nanny so I could be close to children,” she disclosed. To the glory of God, however, Patience saw her menses return just a day after prayer in The SCOAN! “Have faith in God; He will also do it for you,” she advised others.

Blessing Breaks Free From Household Bondage!

“She is my wife; I am her husband!” screamed the foul spirit in Blessing during deliverance prayer on April 27, 2025. She had grown up in an idol-worshipping family. “My father gave us many strange things to eat and put several incisions on our bodies,” Blessing said at the start of her testimony on May 4, 2025. In later years, those things started affecting the children of the family in many ways, as they faced a series of disappointments in education, relationships and health. “We used to have dreams in which masquerades chased after us,” she explained.

Perplexed about her situation, Blessing agreed to a friend’s suggestion that she visit The Arena Of Liberty. “That friend was warned in the dream against taking me to The SCOAN,” Blessing reported. To the glory of God, she managed to make her way to church and received the miracle of deliverance! Afterwards, she also had a confirmatory dream. “Now my health is great and I sleep peacefully,” she testified. She advised others: “Speak out when you have issues; you never know whom God will use to direct you to Him.”

Christiana’s Broken Arm Hears God’s Voice!

While in school one day, Christiana got pushed by some playful boys. “I broke my arm and found myself in hospital,” she told the church on May 4, 2025. For a long while, the little girl couldn’t play with her mates or do other activities. After prayer on December 29, 2024, however, she felt a new level of relief, even though she had been taking various medications. “Now I can play with my siblings and friends,” she smiled.

Christiana’s mother had initially shed tears on seeing the situation. “But I immediately handed over the case to the Lord,” she said. She had ministered the Anointing Water on her daughter and continued to nurse her. “After my daughter received prayer in The SCOAN, she started to feel better immediately,” the loving mother said. She also explained how she had received assurance in the dream as an image of Prophet TB Joshua appeared to her. “Take the Anointing Water seriously – God’s power is in it,” she asserted. She added, “Always pray for your children.”   

Andy Returns To His Unfailing Source Of Succour And Salvation

“Don’t touch my stomach!” insisted the household demon that had been bothering Andy over the years. The demon had spoken during the deliverance session of the service of April 6, 2025. Standing on the believer’s authority, however, the evangelist had ordered out the demon – and Andy had stepped into divine transformation. During his testimony on May 4, 2025, he returned to the past, telling of how he had used to participate in sacrificial rituals with his father. For some reason, however, Andy’s father stopped feeding the idols. “I was 15 years old at the time,” he recalled, “and by 18 years old, I started to witness many problems.” Andy began to eat and get intimate in the dream with a strange woman. “Masquerades also started pursuing me in the dream,” he added. Moreover, he suffered memory loss – and this affected his performance at school.

Thinking that it would keep the strange woman at bay, Andy decided to get married. “But the situation worsened,” he opened up. Even after his family intervened by appeasing the household idols, Andy remained jobless and childless after four years of marriage. On discovering Emmanuel TV sometime in 2009, however, Andy began to pray along with Prophet TB Joshua. He then came to the church and received prayer. “I vomited during the Mass Prayer session and afterwards we had four babies,” he said. He also got a job, which he holds till today.

With his situation now improved, Andy started relenting in his dedication to God. He soon got a reality jolt, however, when he heard of his first daughter’s disappearance. “I called the Prayer Line and got assurance that she would be found,” he said. To the glory of God, Andy’s daughter returned home! Andy also approached God Almighty over his health problems. “Now I am free from all those ailments that troubled my body,” he declared. He advised others to trust in God and stay patient for their own testimony.

Freed From Alcohol Addiction!

It was from alcohol addiction that Francisca got delivered on April 27, 2025. One day she had accepted an offer of alcohol from someone in the dream. “And right from that day I became addicted – a completely different person from the decent person that I used to be,” she said on May 4, 2025. A 33-year-old postgraduate student of Corporate Governance, Francisca admitted that alcohol made her abusive and unruly. “It also affected my concentration at school,” she said.

Since receiving prayer, however, Francisca has lost all interest in alcohol. “I also no longer have nightmares,” she confirmed. Her mother, Augustina, said she had been disturbed about the discovery of the addiction but had taken the case to God. “I am happy about her transformation,” she said. As she ended her testimony, Francisca apologised to her mother for her bad behavior while under the bondage of addiction.  

For Amaka, The Demonic Siege Is Over!

Amaka and her husband, as well as her siblings, testified about their deliverance from family idols. “I used to have strange dreams in my teenage years and a man used to come to me in those dreams,” she said at the start of her testimony on May 4, 2025. Because of the operations of the idol in her life, Amaka kept rejecting suitors. In the end, however, one persistent suitor managed to get her into marriage. “He introduced me to Emmanuel TV,” she recalled.

During their eventual trip to The SCOAN, Amaka, who is based in Equatorial Guinea with her Nigerian husband, suffered a boat accident. “But we were saved by God,” she said. During the service of April 27, 2025, Amaka witnessed the power of deliverance. “Now I am in love with my husband,” she said, recalling her ten years of chaotic marriage. “For those ten years I showed him no love, always quarrelling with him,” she admitted. Her husband, Ogbonna, said: “She used to talk to me like her child – she was such a nag,” he opened up. He explained how the family idol brought so much discord into the family. “And anything I disclosed to her always ended up not working out,” he continued.

Still childless, Ogbonna, a pastor, said that he had managed to hold the family together by listening to God’s Word on Emmanuel TV. “I used to do all the chores in the house,” he further admitted, “but I thank God that the enemy has been put to shame.” Ogbonna advised others to take their issues to God. “Bring your partners for deliverance,” he advised others. Amaka’s brothers confirmed the activities of the family idols in their lives but also testified about their transformation after deliverance.

After-Service Testimonies

During the Mass Prayer session, Boniface felt the power of God in his ailing system. For the last four years, he had been feeling severe discomfort in his stomach and lungs. “The hospitals couldn’t help me, but today I vomited blood and other substances,” he said, “and now I no longer feel pain.” Thank You, Jesus!
