“Check your heart,” Evangelist James advised congregants during the sermon for the service of July 13, 2025. “Since we serve God with the heart,” he continued, “it is important that our hearts are active and alive.” Accordingly, congregants in The SCOAN Cathedral had devoted an intense session of heartfelt worship to the King Of Kings and Lord of Lords. They had asked for the forgiveness of their sins and for divine mercy to continue to envelop them. They had declared, “Thank You, Lord/For Everything You Have Done In Our Lives.” Through various songs, the people had called the attention of Heaven and the atmosphere had got charged for healing, deliverance, and breakthrough. They had ended the worship session thus: “And I Will Not Be Silent/I Will Always Worship You/As Long As I Am Breathing/I Will Always Worship You!”
For his reading, Evangelist James read from 1 Samuel 16:7 and Mark 7:21-22. He spoke on the importance of checking our heart, which is the prayer room and contact point for God’s Spirit. He began by observing, “The great thing that the Lord looks at and requires in a man is the heart.” As such, every relationship with God must begin in the heart, for “Christianity is not religion but a relationship with God.” Given the place of the heart in the believer’s walk with God, he went on, it needs to be kept active and alive through constant meditation on God’s Word.
Concerning how the heart can be kept active and alive, Evangelist James explained that it has to be in “a good state” by being “soft, pure, loving and peaceful.” According to him, “When we say ‘soft’, we simply mean that the will of the heart towards God is submissive, yielding and obedient, not rebellious, stiff-necked and hardened.” Regarding purity, he observed: “To be pure means a heart that is not double-minded, that is, a mind focused on God.” As for ‘loving’, Evangelist James noted that a loving heart is one in which the emotion loves God, wants God, thirsts for God and has affection towards God.” A peaceful heart, he carried on, is one “in which the conscience is free of offence.”
The preacher therefore cautioned against holding offence, which tampers with the state of the heart. “Offence gives birth to hurt, anger, jealousy, envy, resentment and pride,” he said. He further stated that harbouring pride causes us to view ourselves as victims instead of helping us to deal with the reality of our situation. “You can never make any improvement in your relationship with God unless you stop holding an offence,” he said.
Finally, Evangelist James led the people to pray: “Lord Jesus, incline my heart to Your Word and not to covetousness. Turn away my eyes from looking at worthless things and revive me in Your way. Direct my steps by Your Way and let no iniquity have dominion over me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.”
For Them, He Opened The Right Doors!
“May you continue to be refreshed with the morning dew,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared as she joined the people for the Prayer Line ministration.
“Jesus Christ came to reconcile us to God,” she said to the people as she blessed the Lord for the day’s testimonies. She read from Matthew 4:4 and reminded congregants of the power of positive confession backed with the prayer of faith.
Before moving to the Prayer Line, Pastor Evelyn Joshua called unto the Lord: “Father Lord, we bless Your Holy name. We thank You. We praise You and we worship You. You alone are worthy of our worship. You alone are worthy of our thanksgiving. Almighty God, we lift up our eyes and hearts to seek You and Your Kingdom this morning. Father Lord, You told us in Your Word that where two or more people are gathered in Your name, You are there, and so we know You are here with us.
O Lord God Almighty, we ask for Your mercy, show us Your mercy when we fail to appreciate You enough. Father, in every situation – abundance in our hearts. We want to seek Your peace first. We know You will open the closed doors for us today. You will open the right doors for us as we look forward to Your healing, deliverance, blessings, protection, victory, breakthrough – all for the salvation of our souls. In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray!”
Among the people at the Prayer Line were those with cases such as asthma, shoulder dislocation, brain injury, breast cancer, alcohol addiction, swollen belly, difficulty in breathing/walking, and drug addiction. As the woman of God prayed for them, power descended from Heaven and the people’s stories changed for the better – and for good!
Among the pregnant women were those facing issues of breech presentation, complications or dream attacks from the enemy. By the power in the Blood of Jesus Christ, they are no longer bound to satan.
As the woman of God continued the ministration of prayers of healing and deliverance, the Spirit of God brought succour to cases of mental disorder, epilepsy and other troubles of the mind and body.
Thereafter, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists moved to other parts of the auditorium, laying anointed hands on congregants from all over the world.
Again, the One-On-One session proved the truth of God’s Word in Mark 16:17, “In My name they will drive out demons….” Thank You, Jesus Christ!
And He Calmed Their Turbulence
“All glory and honour to God Almighty!” declared Evangelist Joseph when the Mass Prayer session started. “Position yourself to receive,” he told the church. He asked them to pray: “Father, I have come; in Your mercy locate me and deliver me. Father, I have come; free my heart to contact You. Father, I have come; position me to receive from You. Father, I have come; touch me.
Calling out the first prayer point, Evangelist Joseph told the church to pray: “All familiar spirits, demons, messengers of satan standing against the will of God for your life – in the mighty name of Jesus, Out!”
Evangelist Chisom charged congregants to pray: “You unclean spirit, anywhere you are, troubling my life – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! You demon, you family idol – anywhere you are, disturbing my family, disturbing my business – I command you by the fire of the Holy Ghost: Out!”
For the next prayer point, Evangelist Ope asked the people to pray: “Whatever I might have eaten from the table of the enemy, causing me sickness, causing me disease – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”
Evangelist James asked the people to decree: “You unclean spirit, the cause of setback, stagnation, disappointment – I command you in the name of Jesus: Loose your grip!
Pastor Evelyn Joshua told the people, “Speak the good language into your life – the language of love, peace, victory, healing. Don’t allow your circumstance to dictate your direction; allow the Word of God to channel your way.”
The woman of God prayed: “Every unworthy companion, relationship, friend disorganising your plans – may they be exposed, in the name of Jesus! God’s position in your life is power – power to heal, save and deliver! Begin to live in abundance, in the name of Jesus! Every storm in your life – be calmed, in the name of Jesus! Every turbulence in your life – be calmed!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua continued to pray: “May your soul, life, family, marriage be restored! Open my eyes of faith to see Your deliverance power working out the answer for me! Be healed from that affliction, that disease, in the name of Jesus! Receive your freedom, breakthrough, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua charged the people to plead: “Here I am, Lord; deliver me from unfaithfulness, from disobedience. Lord, rain Your deliverance hands on me.” The man of God prayed: “That kidney, that blood, that liver – get it healed, in the name of Jesus! That fibroid – get it removed, in the name of Jesus. If there is any object inside you – I command it out, in the name of Jesus! Wherever that affliction is located – out, in the name of Jesus!”

A Glorious End To 15 Years Of Pain!
For the last 15 years, 62-year-old Grace had been suffering from difficulty in walking caused by severe waist pain from lumbar spondylosis. “I couldn’t run my business, as I had to move from one hospital to another – until the seventh one,” she told the church on June 15, 2025. Grace was also informed that she needed to lose some weight so that her waist pain could be better managed. She went on, “One of the drugs they gave me made me sleep too much and another drug caused my body to tilt to one side.”
At some point, the doctors said they didn’t know what else to do for Grace after giving her a lumbar corset that didn’t change the situation. It was at that point that a friend introduced her to Emmanuel TV. “I decided to come here last week,” she said, “and once the woman of God prayed for me, I felt relief.” Since then she has been doing everything she couldn’t do for over a decade. Confirming the testimony, Grace’s husband gave thanks to God. “Let’s seek God’s face in all we do,” the couple advised.
The Day George’s Story Changed!
“I brought him back to Nigeria; he cannot progress again,” boasted the spirit wife that had been blocking George’s destiny. The demon had been speaking during the deliverance session of the service of July 6, 2025. “My problems started when I had a dream in which a python was chasing after me,” he told the church a week later. Speaking further, George said he had another dream in which he found himself in the marine world, with the leader of the kingdom trying to force him to sign off his glory. George said he declined the offer. On two occasions, he got sponsored for his education but on each occasion the sponsors discontinued their support midway.
George then managed to travel to the United Arab Emirates. But I ended up with a sack letter instead of a promotion letter after finishing my probation period,” he explained. Bothered by it all, George returned to Nigeria and went into commercial driving. In the end, George sold off his commercial tricycles and came to Lagos, where he found The Arena Of Liberty. To the glory of God, he received his deliverance during the service of July 6 and today his story has changed for good! “No problem is beyond God,” George reminded others.
“No More Bleeding, No More Asthma, No More Palpitations!”
“I caused her to be sick; I don’t want her to be free,” confessed the demon that had been running Chinonye’s life. Married for eleven years, she had known no comfort because of constant illness. Minutes later, the demon gave up the fight as an evangelist ejected it in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, during the service of June 22, 2025. In her testimony two week later, Chinonye began by stating her long history of illness. She talked about her asthma and heart problems, as well as the dreams that always came before her real-life illnesses.
When she fell pregnant most recently, Chinonye couldn’t carry it through, losing the foetus at six months. “This was despite visits to the clinic at least three times a week,” she said. Realising that she needed divine help, Chinonye had come with her husband to the church on the day in question. “Now I feel fine and my bleeding has stopped,” she smiled. “No more bleeding, no more asthma, no more palpitations – I am free!” she declared. “Indeed, there is God in The Synagogue,” Chinonye asserted.
On his part, Chinonye’s husband narrated how the family had had to move to a rented apartment just to avoid the source of the allergies causing her heart issues. “I used to be worried for the future,” he admitted. Today, however, he is able to glorify God’s name for the change in their story. He advised others to seek God’s face in a living church.
At Last, Mellindis Meets Jesus Christ!
One night, in her growing-up years, Mellindis had had a dream in which she saw herself eating with a group of people. The following night, she had another dream in which a strange figure got intimate with her. “It made my life miserable, causing me mood swings every now and then,” she told the church on July 13, 2025. Not being someone who believed so much in prayer, Mellindis continued to suffer the effects of the dreams. “I played truant most times but my parents didn’t know,” she disclosed. “I was always feeling angry and bitter towards my family,” she went on. She also opened up about wanting to take her own life. “All along it was as if a force was stopping me, as someone would always step in before I could harm myself,” she said.
Meanwhile, the bad dreams continued, with snakes now showing up there. Luckily, Mellindis’ mother was always urging her to pray. “She is a fan of Emmanuel TV,” said Mellindis, who had been conditioned to dislike marriage by the experiences of most of the married people in her family. On July 6, 2025, however, Mellindis had agreed to visit The SCOAN for prayer. “That day, a force arrested me as the deliverance session intensified,” she said. As a hand of deliverance fell upon her, Mellindis witnessed God’s power surge through her. “The following day I woke up a different person, feeling light and relieved,” she said. In more good news, Mellindis now feels warm towards her family members. “I also sleep freely and no longer have those bad dreams,” she added. She advised others to seek God’s help, even as she urged parents not to give up on their children.
And Their Bleeding Stopped!
Six years ago, when Sylva was living in Italy, she started bleeding unusually during her period. “It came with a lot of pain,” she said, “and it affected my school attendance.” When she moved to the United Kingdom, she continued to experience the same thing. Sometime in May 2025, however, she called the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line. “Afterwards, I went to the restroom and expelled a huge clot of blood,” she told the church on July 13, 2025. “Although I was worried when I saw the blood, I knew things were different since I wasn’t feeling any pain at that point,” she said. From then on, Sylva started to see her menses normally again. She advised others: “Distance is not a barrier; call the Prayer Line and God will restore your smile.”
Sylva’s mother was also having the same issue and told of how she had received her own testimony in April 2025 while watching ministrations by Pastor Evelyn Joshua and Prophet TB Joshua. “As Pastor Evelyn Joshua was ministering, I saw an image of Prophet TB Joshua dressed in shining white,” she said, “and since then then the blood has dried up.” Sylva’s father confirmed the testimonies, urging others to trust in God.
“Our Only Solution Is God,” Says Woman Freed From Marine World
As a child, Vivian used to enjoy playing alone, especially around stagnant water. One day, while playing by herself, she saw a python. On another occasion, Vivian had been sitting on a huge snake until it stirred and caused her to panic. The pattern continued in the young girl’s life. “It gave me so many issues in real life, especially when I went to live with some relatives,” she said on July 13, 2025. Vivian returned to her parents and asked her mother what might be going on. It transpired that Vivian had been covenanted to a marine goddess, who had supposedly ‘healed’ her during a childhood illness. “I used to have dreams in which I saw myself in the marine world,” she explained. She continued, “I always liked to be on my own and didn’t give room to male advances,” she said.
When she finally agreed to marry, Vivian conceded only to the childhood friend who had understood her all along. “But the marriage knew no peace, as I made things extremely difficult for him,” she admitted. During the five-year marriage, a spirit husband was always coming between the couple. “It would get intimate with me in the dream and I would suffer a miscarriage in real life,” Vivian said. In her bid to get out of the situation, Vivian went to so many places, including a witch doctor who charged her in millions of naira. After so many fruitless attempts to get the spirit husband out of Vivian’s way, the witch doctor finally admitted his helplessness. “Seek God,” he advised her. Vivian could now see that she truly needed divine help.
As she moved to God for help, Vivian had a dream in which the forces of good and evil contended for her loyalty. “In the end, an image of Prophet TB Joshua appeared to me and rescued me,” Vivian said. On relating the dream to her husband, Vivian was advised to come to The SCOAN for prayer. “I came to the church on July 6, 2025 and the spirit of deliverance fell upon me,” she told the church. Since that day, she has broken ties with the marine world. “Now I sleep peacefully,” she told the church. “Our only solution is God,” Vivian told the church. Her husband Peter thanked God for bringing peace to his marriage. “Jesus is the only Solution,” he asserted. Vivian apologised to her husband, who said, “Now we have a new beginning.”
