It was the first Sunday of the month on March 2, 2025 and The Arena Of Liberty was a glorious sight to behold as congregants turned out en masse to call on the name of the Lord. They began by asking for the forgiveness of their sins and for the Holy Spirit to pray through them. “Lord, We Thank You For Every Moment Of Your Attention,” they sang. Then they went on to declare their unshakable commitment to the Almighty: “Situations May Come/Challenges May Come/But I’m Not Moved/And I’m Not Shaken!” Soon, the power of the living God suffused the atmosphere, causing many to shed tears of penitence as they sang from the depths of their hearts.

Although he actually took his proof texts from Psalm 50:15, Acts 2:21 and Philippians 2:9-11, Evangelist James started his sermon with a reference to Job 14:1, observing that trouble is inevitable for every Christian. “Christ’s presence in your life is not the absence of trouble but the assurance of peace,” he reminded congregants. He then asked the people whose name they call when in trouble.

The evangelist stated that the right knowledge of God is about understanding that the name of Jesus Christ has undisputable power and that it brings access to all of God’s blessings. Those who believe in that name and call upon it, he said, could never rely on their own strength but on the strength of Jesus Christ. He therefore urged those facing troubling situations to rely on Jesus for their miracle.

The only impediment to the power of the name, he continued, is unbelief accompanied by failure to rely on the Word. As such, Evangelist James charged the people thus: “Let the Word get into your blood and gain supremacy over you. Letting the Word have right of way in us is letting Christ have His proper place of Lordship in our lives. Christ and the Word are one.”

Included In God’s Inheritance

On joining congregants for the Prayer Line ministration, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “Father Lord, we bless Your holy name; Almighty God, we thank You. We thank You for the grace to be called Your own. Jesus Christ, we honour You. We thank You for including us in Your inheritance. Holy Spirit, we appreciate You. We thank You for Your presence in all we do. Lord God, we’ve come to ask: Help us to continually come to You with our love and worship, our true desire to know and to experience You the more.

O Lord Almighty, align us with Your will. Let Your Kingdom flow through our heart, taking us to where You want us to be, in the name of Jesus Christ. Father Lord Almighty, let today favour us; let the flood gate of Heaven be opened and let Your healing, Your blessing, Your deliverance reign on us, in the name of Jesus Christ!”  

The woman of God then proceeded to stand in the gap for those with various petitions, including difficulty in walking, asthma, vomiting blood, stroke, drug addiction and addiction to eating foam.

Other recipients of divine grace were pregnant women and those suffering from endometriosis and breast lumps.

Together with Pastor Evelyn Joshua, The SCOAN Evangelists went on to claim the power in the name of Jesus Christ to pull out the roots of sickness and disease from the people’s lives.

Furthermore, the inscrutable power of the Living God worked wonders as it exposed every hidden source of trouble in the lives of congregants. And from each grateful heart came, “Thank You, Jesus!”

And in line with God’s Word in 2 Corinthians 10:4 – “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds” – the weapon of the name of Jesus Christ was deployed to cast out every stubborn demon during the One-On-One session.

And God’s Spirit Spoke For Them!

“May the spirit of God speak on our behalf today,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed at the start of the Mass Prayer session. She urged them: “Be prepared to break loose from every chain. Ask God to liberate your heart and sanctify it from every evil, bitterness, offence, anger and malice.”

She charged congregants to pray: “Father, take more of me and give me more of You – more of your love, peace, faithfulness, kindness and goodness.

Pastor Evelyn Joshua continued: “All that brings you shame, begin to reject them by the Blood of Jesus. Every power that is restricting your freedom begin to rebuke them in the name of Jesus.” She prayed: “Every power, every force that has held you in bondage – loose their grip, in the name of Jesus. Relieve your children from every pain, hurt, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Chisom prayed: “You unclean spirit operating in my life, family – anywhere you are, in the name of Jesus: Out!” He went on: “That spirit that kills, steals, destroys – command them out, in the name of Jesus. That spirit must listen to the voice of God.”

At his turn, Evangelist James prayed: “Whatever that was not planted by God in your body, causing you sickness, causing you disease – I command it in the name of Jesus: Be uprooted.” He further asked the people to decree: “You sickness, you disease tormenting my body – today is your last day. I command you: Out!”

Evangelist Ope urged the people to pray: “You family idol from my mother’s side troubling my life – Holy Ghost Fire. Out! You idols frustrating my life, career, family: Out!”

Taking over the session, Evangelist Joseph asked the people to pray: “You demon, you familiar spirit caging my glory, caging my destiny, caging my career, caging my finances – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “I command the devil, affliction, diseases out of your body, blood, liver, bones, tendons, kidneys, in the name of Jesus! I separate you from sickness, affliction, diseases!”

Stiff Knees Freed For God’s Glory!

Charles, a poultry farmer, was working on his farm one day in January 2024 when he suddenly realised he couldn’t bend his knees. He took several medications but got little or no relief. Inevitably, his activities were severely limited. “The knees were stiff and I couldn’t sit or stand easily,” he said on March 2, 2025. The Sunday before, he had received prayer as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered. “I felt a cold sensation immediately she touched my ailing knees,” he told the church. Since then, Charles has regained full use of his legs – for the glory of God! Flanked by his excited wife, he urged others to take their issues to God.

Heart Enlargement Obeys Divine Command

When Onabis took ill, her first response was to approach the doctors. “My blood pressure was found to be abnormally high,” she said to congregants on March 2, 2025. It was later discovered that her heart had also enlarged, with other health issues. In faith, she took her issues to God in prayer. “I started watching Emmanuel TV and praying along with God’s servants,” she continued. Along the line, she had a dream encounter with Prophet TB Joshua; subsequently, she came to The SCOAN for prayer on November 24, 2024. “I returned home in faith,” she said, “and continued praying.” Soon, Onabis saw her faith rewarded. “When I went for new tests, doctors confirmed that the issues had vanished,” a delighted Onabis disclosed, breaking into song. “Believe in the power of God Almighty,” she urged others. Her son Anthony confirmed the healing and expressed his happiness about it.

A Double Dose Of Healing For Little Jesse

On September 10, 2025, little Jesse sat on his mother’s lap as he received prayer for an arm fracture. “I had got an emergency call from home on the day he fell,” Jesse’s mother said on March 2, 2025. She explained that the injury had taken a toll on her work and other things. “I brought him for prayer because he wasn’t getting better,” she said. Shortly after prayer, Jesse asked for his sling to be removed. “I’m no longer feeling pain,” he had told his mother. Jesse also received another miracle: He started to walk directly on the soles of his feet. According to his mother, Jesse had been walking on the tips of his toes since birth. “Let’s put our trust in God,” she told congregants.

Anointing Frees Isaac From Kidnappers’ Den!

While on a routine movement within his local government, Isaac got kidnapped. “My phone’s profile picture was that of Prophet TB Joshua,” he informed the church on March 2, 2025. When asked whose picture it was, Isaac told them it was that of his father and mentor. They told him, “You can keep hiding the identity of your real father but be certain that we shall collect millions from your family in ransom.” For over 41 days, they kept him with little or no food and water.

During that period, Isaac had dream encounters with Prophet TB Joshua. Although he had thought of suicide a few times, he reminded himself that it was not a choice to make. But he continued praying. Then he found a chance to escape. “I fell into the hands of some cattle herders who took pity on me and helped me to safety,” he revealed. Giving gratitude to God, Isaac stressed the need to keep hope in the Almighty.

Baby Defies Satanic Ambush!

Heavily pregnant Stella was in The SCOAN for prayer on November 10, 2024. “I was overdue and my cervix was too tight,” she disclosed on March 2, 2025, during her testimony. She said she had been having nightmares, in one of which she saw a tiger eating up a baby in her father’s village. In another disturbing dream, Stella got shot three times. “But I survived in that dream,” she said. It was after those dreams that she had come to the church for prayer. “I had my baby within two hours,” she testified. But satan refused to give up. It turned out that, perhaps wrongly, the baby was diagnosed with low sugar, after it failed to utter its first cry. “The doctors gave her two shots of glucose within a few hours,” Stella went on.

Stella was then referred to another hospital. “The new doctors found that the baby’s blood sugar had become excessively high,” she told the church. Eventually, the situation was managed with medical effort and prayer. “I called the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line and in a short while my baby sneezed twice,” Stella said. Thereafter, she continued ministering the Anointing Water as she prayed for her baby’s weak breath to improve. “In a matter of hours, my baby’s breathing strength rose to 96% and the doctors discharged us,” she carried on. Today, Stella’s baby has been growing without any issues. She advised others to believe in God.

A Dramatic Deliverance From The Occult!

It was a dramatic deliverance for Stephen on February 23, 2025. For many minutes, the demons in him tried to resist the Holy Spirit. But, of course, it was all to no avail. A week later, the Nigerian-Kenyan, who resides in Singapore, returned for his testimony. “I came from a polygamous home of 12 wives and 38 children,” he opened up. Coming from a home devoid of care and attention, Stephen and his twin sister made the streets their home. “We slept in public places, especially at bus parks,” he told the church on March 2, 2025. Stephen’s mother being a beautiful woman, she had been the only woman that Stephen’s father married legally, even though she had been the last woman to come into the home.

She had been taken to the United States by her well-to-do husband and had returned six months later with the pregnancy that produced Stephen and two other babies – triplets. “I was told the other boy died, leaving me and my only sister,” Stephen went on. It so happened that Stephen’s father was killed and his mother raped while pregnant for him. The assassination had happened shortly after the return from America. As things turned out, Stephen’s father had been killed by a man who had also competed for his mother’s love.

The same man had ended up marrying Stephen’s aunt, although his aunt hadn’t realised this until she got intimate with him and spotted the same birth mark on his thigh as the day he had raped her late sister. It was she who then revealed the entire situation to Stephen in his teenage years. “I resolved to take revenge,” Stephen recalled. In the process of seeking justice for his mother, Stephen agreed to join the occult.

“I needed power to fight that man,” he said, “because he himself was heavily fortified.” Stephen engaged in a dangerous pre-initiation ritual that involved wild animals, including a cobra,” he explained. During the actual initiation, the cobra bit Stephen on his left upper arm – a sign that he would succeed on his occult journey, according to other members. “I got a tattoo on that arm as a tribute to the power behind the snake,” he said.

Other rituals involved the hearts of a goat, ram and cat. “I was given some items to keep, among which were a sword and a mirror called ‘darkest hour’. Having sacrificed his ‘manhood’ for membership of the occult, Stephen came into wealth that he had never seen before. “I was just 17 years old at this time,” he said, “but my twin sister knew nothing about it.”

He refused to tell her how it had all happened but sent her to school. Now fortified with dark powers, Stephen was now ready to take the life of his father’s killer and mother’s rapist. When he came face to face with the man, however, Stephen and his mates couldn’t take him down. “I stabbed him several times and my companions shot him three times but nothing happened to the man before security operatives rescued him,” he said.

Moving on, Stephen fell in love with a certain young woman, even though the Grand Master had told him he could never marry outside of the group. “I was asked to withdraw from the relationship,” Stephen said. By this time, the woman had become suspicious, as Stephen was never interested in intimacy with her and had a room that he wouldn’t let anyone into. In the end, the woman died under mysterious circumstances.

From then on, Stephen’s fortune took a nosedive, as he lost his investments and developed mental issues. “My body started bleeding and oozing out pus and I became smelly,” he said. Interestingly, it was a Singaporean woman who told Stephen about The SCOAN. “I made my way to the church in 2019 and the man of God prophesied to me, warning me that I needed to confess my involvements with the occult, otherwise big problems would come my way,” Stephen said.

Stephen refused to confess, however. And troubles came his way. “I ended up in jail, where I got raped by several men, leading to piles and bed-wetting,” he disclosed. When he got out of jail, Stephen made his way to the Crusade in Kenya with Pastor Evelyn Joshua. “The woman of God laid hands on me and the anointing has sustained me to this day,” he said. The occult group had told him that he had only two months to live.

To the glory of God, however, Stephen is now under the shadow of the Almighty, since his deliverance experience. “I felt God’s power around Pastor Evelyn Joshua as I moved towards her after my deliverance,” Stephen said. He added, “Something left my body when she held my hand and declared me free.” Also gone is the problem of ritually induced impotence, as well as piles, bed-wetting and poor sight!

After-Service Testimonies

Emmanuela had been suffering from severe abdominal and back pain. During the Mass Prayer session, the power of God fell upon her and she immediately vomited poisonous substances. Now all of the pain is gone!

For Gift, menstruation had been an irregular occurrence for the last 15 years. “I always had to take medications before I could see my menses,” she told the church. However, her condition was miraculously reversed after an anointed touch from Pastor Evelyn Joshua. To God’s glory, Gift now sees her period normally.
