With many songs of worship and praise on their lips, and assured that they would always sail through despite the raging storms in the sea of life, congregants gathered in The SCOAN for the Sunday Service of February 25, 2024. “Thank You, Thank you, Lord!” they sang – their response from happy hearts. Then they asked for comfort from the Holy Spirit while bringing their Refuge – the covenant-keeping God – a worthy sacrifice.

Evangelist Jemila gave the day’s sermon, entitled “A New Name, A New Direction”. Among her readings were Isaiah 62:2, 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 and Mark 8:34-35. This being the Year Of A New Name for God’s people, Evangelist Jemila spoke to them about the need to take a new approach to the New Year so that they can get the best that God has for them. She said, “This year 2024, your old approach to life cannot help you to claim, build and maintain your New Name in the Lord.” She explained that an “uncommon year comes with uncommon blessings” and “uncommon blessings always come with uncommon challenges.”

To get to those uncommon blessings, Evangelist Jemila went on, one must be genuinely willing to make the sacrifices that keep one on the path of salvation in Jesus Christ. She noted that, like Jabez, one must be determined enough to change one’s story from hopelessness to hopefulness. She quoted the words of Prophet TB Joshua to back home her point: “If you don’t forget yourself, you cannot follow Jesus!” To forget oneself is to forget one’s challenges, situations, worries and anxieties, among others. Similarly, remembering oneself while claiming to follow Jesus would mean serving two masters, which she warned against. “You can’t bear the name love and hatred at the same time,” she cautioned.

Urging the people to make Jesus Christ their role model and to get angry at their sinfulness and weaknesses, Evangelist Jemila assured them thus: “With this Year of A New Name, you are transformed from pressure to pleasure, from hopelessness to happiness, from sickness to health, from unfaithfulness to faithfulness, and from problems to solutions.”

They Ran To The Lord, Their Refuge – And He Hearkened To Their Voices!

These words of affirmation rang out as Pastor Evelyn Joshua urged the people to claim God’s promises: “I am on the Lord’s side! I will never give up! I am an overcomer!”

Before proceeding to lay hands on the people, Pastor Evelyn Joshua looked up to Heaven as she uttered words affected with the fire of the Holy Spirit: “Father Lord, we bless Your holy name. Lord Jesus, we thank You because there is power in Your name. Your Word says in the Book of Proverbs 18:10 – ‘The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and they are saved. Father, keep us safe as we proclaim Your name over our situations and circumstances.

O Lord God Almighty, we proclaim that You are the Lord of our lives and everything that has to do with us. Father, be our Shield. We commit our lives into Your hands. Father, speak on our behalf; be our Mouthpiece. Let Your healing power, Your deliverance power, Your freedom fall afresh on us today, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let Your name be glorified in this Arena today. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray! Thank You, Jesus!”

Having run to the Lord, their Refuge, the people witnessed a rolling away of troubles such as difficulty in walking, swollen belly, wrist fracture, swollen leg ulcer, hernia, goitre, hot water burns, and tuberculosis, etc.    

Other cases were epilepsy, drug addiction, mental disorder, and skin disease, which received termination as Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists proceeded with faith and the power of the Holy Spirit to cast out the demons causing chaos in the people’s lives.

The children also received ministration of prayers during the Laying Of Hands session. Thank You, Jesus!

As the service carried on, hundreds of people in the auditorium received a touch from Heaven!

God’s power further manifested during the One-On-One session, with demons receiving queries before fleeing from the fire of the Holy Ghost!

And They Received A New Way, A New Song!

After the praise session, marked by dancing and singing in many tongues from the nations, Pastor Evelyn Joshua led The SCOAN Evangelists into the altar area. It was Evangelist Joseph who first addressed the people. “Get ready to receive from Jesus,” he told them while urging them to cast away their doubt.

Evangelist Joseph told the people to say: “My heart is ready. O Holy Spirit, come and set me free!” He prayed: “In the name of Jesus, every demon, familiar spirit, contrary spirit, messenger of satan operating in your life, attacking you day and night – Holy Ghost Fire: Out!” He also told them to declare: “You demon in my body, you hidden spirit – you are darkness; I call you by your name anywhere you are – Out!”

Evangelist Ope encouraged the people to pray: “You spirit challenging my existence, challenging my forward movement, anywhere you are – Holy Ghost Fire: Out!”

Evangelist Chisom charged the people to decree: “You spirit, the cause of my sickness, enough is enough! Anywhere you are operating in my body, family, I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! You sickness, disease – anywhere you are in my body, disturbing my life, my body is not your dwelling place. Come out!”

Evangelist James prayed: “Every closed door to breakthrough, goodness, favour – be opened, in the name of Jesus!”

Taking over, the leader of The SCOAN asked congregants to plead the Blood Of Jesus upon their lives. She pronounced upon them: “Receive a new way, a new song, in the name of Jesus Christ. Receive your freedom from every fear, disease, affliction, setback, disappointment, in the name of Jesus Christ! Be healed from that affliction! Be healed from that disease, in the name of Jesus! Receive the blessing, favour, mercy hand of God!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua then told the people to confess their victory thus: “I am blessed when I go out! I am blessed when I come in! I am blessed in the morning! I am blessed in the evening! I am healed! I am soaked in the Blood of Jesus! Naaman’s perfect healing is mine!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “You familiar spirit – in the name of Jesus, I command you out! I order your heart to be freed!” He told the people to proclaim: “My heart, my spirit – be freed, liberated, rescued! I order all infections to leave my body, in the name of Jesus! All infections in my blood, liver, kidneys, bones, muscles, brain – leave, in the name of Jesus!”

The man of God continued in the Mass Prayer video: “I command all pain to leave your fluids, blood, kidneys, liver, bones, muscles. You pain, infection – you must go, in the name of Jesus! I command every hidden disease to come out! I order all pain, infection to leave your body, in the name of Jesus.  In your kidneys, blood, muscles, bones – Out! Whatever name they call your sickness – I order that sickness, disease – to leave your body, bones, blood, muscles, kidneys!”

After Four Years, Victoria Gets Divine Victory Over Osteoarthritis

Sixty-one-year-old Victoria, a Nigerian widow living in Cameroon, had been suffering from difficulty in walking due to severe osteoarthritis. For four years, she had visited various hospitals without finding any relief. At her wits’ end, she made her way in faith to The SCOAN on February 18, 2024. Anointing Restores Menses And Banishes Witchcraft Spirit!

Unknown to Chinyere, a demon had been responsible for her ceased menses and other issues in her life. That fact had emerged during her deliverance session on Sunday, February 18, 2024 as an evangelist commanded the fire of the Holy Ghost upon her. Minutes later, the demon fled after making more confessions. As a woman who had come from an idol-worshipping background, Chinyere had been facing many battles from the world of witchcraft. “I suffered miscarriages and my husband’s business began to fail,” she told the church a week later. Instead of running all over the place, Chinyere and her husband had decided to visit The SCOAN for prayer. Jesus Christ Puts An End To Nine Years Of Difficulty In Breathing!

Alfred, a Nigerian based in Abuja, started his testimony with a song on February 25, 2024. The Sunday before, he had received prayer over difficulty in breathing.
