Have you been complaining because of your situation? Do you know that complaining is an indication of ingratitude, a questioning of God’s constant goodness and grace? Are you ready to stop complaining?
On June 1, 2025, congregants knew better than to engage in complaining. Instead, they started their day with songs of worship, paying obeisance to the King of kings and Lord of lords for the grace to see the start of the second half of the year. “O Holy Spirit/Take More Of Me/And Give Me More Of You,” they pled. From song to song, they called for a quickening of their spirits and the enablement of grace, filling The Arena Of Liberty with the incense of worship.
The proof text for the day’s sermon, “Stop Complaining”, came from Philippians 2:14-15 but Evangelist James also referred congregants to Exodus 15:22-27 and Numbers 11. He began by noting that hard times tend to produce unpleasant feelings in us, often leading us to murmur and complain. Such harsh times, he observed, are in fact part of God’s design to toughen us spiritually. And that is why we must make the best of them by calling to mind God’s goodness in times past.
For the carnal-minded person, hard times provoke ingratitude rather than praise. Unlike such people, however, the wise view tough situations as desirable and profitable because they lead to safety and eternal life. Those who complain, he went on, risk blocking God’s further blessings in their lives, as happened to some of the Israelites during their 40-year sojourn in the wilderness. He charged the people thus: “Like Joseph, when you can’t control your circumstances, control your attitude.”
Evangelist James reiterated the point that God sometimes uses tough situations and silence to speak to His children. In his words, “God is not working to change your circumstances but He is working through your circumstances to change you.” Accordingly, he concluded, “When you find yourself in a difficult situation, tarry awhile, look around and you will discover the purpose of God in that situation.”
And Heaven’s Floodgates Opened!
“Give thanks to Jesus,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua told the church on joining them for the Prayer Line ministration.
She prayed: “Father, let today favour us, in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the floodgates of Heaven be opened and let Your blessing, healing rain on us! In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray!”
After singing the praise of her Creator, the woman of God had a few words for the people. “The grace you are having this time, many do not have it,” she began. Regarding those who seek alternatives to God, she assured the expectant: “It is only the gift, the glory of God that lasts forever.”
Following Matthew 10:1, where Jesus Christ gives His disciples the power to drive out impure spirits and heal every disease and sickness, the woman of God stood on the same authority to rebuke every foul spirit responsible for difficulty in walking, severe leg pain, asthma, piles, fracture of the pelvis, swollen belly, bone tumour, goitre, and enlarged prostate, etc.
She also pronounced ease upon many pregnant women, who had come to cast their burdens upon the Alpha and Omega. From their system every untoward thing was flushed out for the glory of God!
Just as God’s Word says in James 5:14-15, the prayer of faith worked in the lives of those with issues of osteoarthritis, bloody urination, drug addiction, skin disease, mental disorder, bleeding, swollen jaw, epilepsy, difficulty in breathing, and osteoarthritis, among others.
Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists also laid anointed hands on others in the auditorium, including those in the Old Testament group. Indeed, where the light of God is, darkness has no hiding place!
For the One-On-One session, God’s Word in Mark 16:17 held true yet again as the evangelists commanded: “Out, in the name of Jesus!”
And Their Secret Prayers Were Answered
“May the Lord continue to reign His power on you, in the name of Jesus,” prayed Pastor Evelyn Joshua at the start of the Mass Prayer session. “Begin to release yourself from everything that is limiting you,” she charged the people.
The woman of God asked the people to pray: “Please, O Lord, look at me, a sinner. Forgive me my sin. Have mercy on my petition and grant my request. Remember me, O Lord, don’t let me come in vain.”
She went on: “Every mistake that stands between you and God’s promises – be broken, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every secret prayer of your heart – be granted, in the name of Jesus Christ! Be taken to a higher ground, in the name of Jesus Christ! Lord God, release Your power of healing, deliverance, freedom! Receive your healing! Receive your deliverance, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
For viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “Every network of conspiracy against your family – be destroyed, in the name of Jesus! Every network of evil against your family, destiny, career – be destroyed, in the name of Jesus! All that is limiting your God-given potential – we command them to be removed, in the name of Jesus! Receive your freedom, your peace, in the name of Jesus!”
Evangelist Joseph prayed: “All satanic spirits keeping you down in bondage – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”
Next, Evangelist Ope told the people to pray: “You spirit terminating my progress, anywhere you are: Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”
Evangelist Chisom prayed: “That spirit causing you sickness – Out, by the power in the Blood of Jesus!”
At his turn, Evangelist James charged congregants to decree: “Every inherited curse over my life, over my family – I rebuke you, in the name of Jesus!”
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua assured the people, “Heaven knows you are here.” The man of God prayed: “Every spirit that torments you, causes you affliction and disappointment – be rebuked, in the name of Jesus Christ! I command that affliction out of your body, in the name of Jesus! Every poison, wherever it is located, I command it out, in the name of Jesus!”

“indeed, Jesus Christ Is Here!” Declares Man Healed Of Cervical Spondylosis
“Indeed, Jesus Christ is here and the era of miracles is not yet over!”
That was the emphatic declaration by Humphrey as he stood for his testimony on June 1, 2025. He began by stating that early in 2024 he had suddenly come down with pain all over his body and numbness of his limbs. “It affected my work so much and I realised the value of good health,” he said. He went to hospitals and got so many medications and a neck collar, having been diagnosed with cervical spondylosis. A person of faith, Humphrey decided to seek help from Jesus Christ. On November 17 2024, he received prayer as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered during the Sunday Service. “I didn’t feel anything during the prayer until I got home and realised that all my pain was gone,” said an excited Humphrey, flanked by his equally delighted wife. “Keep your trust in God,” he urged others.
“Jesus Has Healed Me,” Pastor Kwane Proclaims
On May 25, 2025, Pastor Kwame was among those at the Prayer Line. He was suffering from difficulty in walking after falling from a building at a construction site. “The incident happened in 2017 and I received consistent medical attention, including a lumbar corset,” he said on June 1, 2025. However, Kwame’s pain hardly subsided, causing him considerable misery. Once the woman of God touched me, however, I felt a cold sensation and all my pain vanished,” he disclosed. “Run to God,” he advised others. “Jesus has healed me,” he added.
A Graceful End To 35 Years Of Smoking And Drinking Addiction
For the last 35 years, Samuel had been addicted to smoking and drinking. “When I was a teenager, I used to go on cigarette and alcohol errands for the older people around me,” said Samuel at the start of his testimony on June 1, 2025. A real estate agent, he had seen his business suffer because of his addiction issues. “I would waste my profit on drinking, smoking and womanising,” he disclosed. He continued, “Sometimes I wouldn’t be able to complete client’s projects because of my addiction issues.” He said he had been unable to finish the building projects for his family. Samuel had tried hard to stop his addiction issues but they were beyond him.
“On May 1, 2025, I saw Prophet TB Joshua in my dream and he delivered me, asking me to come to The Arena of Liberty,” he said. For some reason, Samuel failed to go to church that day. He then had another dream in which Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for him. Eventually, Samuel made his way to the church and the power of deliverance located him as the woman of God ministered. Today, the urge for smoking and drinking has vanished from his life. Moreover, he is no longer a terror to his wife and children, who used to bear the brunt of his drink-induced anger. “He is now my lovely husband,” said Samuel’s wife. “Hold on to God,” she advised others.
“It Can Only Be God,” Says Woman Healed Of Deadly Illness
Rebecca’s shouts of freedom couldn’t be stopped on May 25, 2025. Giddy with excitement, she had screamed her lungs out as she declared her healing. She had been finding it difficult to stand, much less walk, for the last one month. After returning from the village, where she had gone for her traditional marriage rites, she had come down with a chronic headache and severe abdominal pain.
“Doctors said I had appendicitis and they operated on me,” she told the church on June 1, 2025. During her three-week stay in hospital, Rebecca had had a dream in which she suffered a spiritual attack, leading to the headache and abdominal pain. “The woman of God ministered the Anointing Water on me and I felt the immediate relief of healing,” she testified, her excitement still obvious to all after a week. “It can only be God; trust Him,” she advised others. Rebecca’s mother confirmed the testimony and advised others to see God as their Source and Redeemer.
Rescued From Paralysing Pain
Sixty-year-old Augusta had been suffering from difficulty in walking caused by cervical spondylosis and arthritis. Before she received prayer, she had her neck encased in a neck collar. “I had discomfort all over my body,” she said. Despite receiving physiotherapy for about four months, Augusta didn’t get better. She couldn’t do her household chores, including cooking for her husband. “He was always kind enough to respond to my call,” she said, “and I had to rely on some neighbours for help as well,” she added.

Her son Kelvin confirmed the healing, glorifying God for His intervention. Kelvin also received prayer during the service. “All the pain in my body vanished after that prayer,” he said. He advised others, “Bring your problems to God.”
Anointing Prevents Leg Amputation, Brings Perfect Healing!
On July 9, 2023, when Toyin sat for prayer over the huge ulcerous sore on his leg, he cut a pitiable sight indeed. From above the right ankle down to the entire foot, it was a truly messy sight. It had all started with a small injury, when a sheet of tile fell on the foot. Although he got treatment for the injury, Toyin was surprised that it kept widening. “Then it started to rot,” he told the church on June 1, 2025. He was now facing the risk of amputation, even as he couldn’t go to work. “My wife devoted time to helping me and fending for the home during the period,” he said, not forgetting to thank her.
Interestingly, Toyin had had to be taken to hospital on the very day that his wife was being discharged after a spell of gastritis. It was such a tough time for the mother of four. To the glory of God, however, Toyin met someone who told him about The SCOAN. “The day I came to the church, I saw a woman testify about the same thing,” he recalled. As the evangelist prayed for him, Toyin felt something come out of his body. From then onwards, his foot started to heal rapidly. Today, with only the scars remaining, the foot is back to shape – for the glory of God!
Joy Enters The Freedom Of Good Health!
Joy from France also received prayer on May 25, 2025. She had been having various health challenges, including osteoarthritis, sleep apnea and difficulty in hearing. “It had all started after my third baby,” she told the church on June 1, 2025. Despite taking medical advice on her diet and losing weight, Joy continued to suffer from difficulty in walking. “At one point, I stayed for three weeks in the hospital,” she said. Joy decided to take her case to God – and the Lord answered her by fire! Today, Joy is free from osteoarthritis, sleep apnea and hearing issues.
After-Service Testimony
Daniel had been suffering from severe stomach pain that had defied medical intervention. During the Mass Prayer session, however, the power of God located him, forcing him to vomit the poisonous substances that had been responsible for his stomach pain. Thank You, Jesus!
