For all congregants in The SCOAN, Easter Sunday 2025 was a most memorable day indeed. They learned of Jesus’ concern for the ‘unworthy friends’ that dominate the world – penitent sinners of all categories who end up benefitting from God’s grace and mercy. In asking for mercy, the people first engaged in a long session of worship. “O Wonderful Thing!” sang Esther of the Sunday School, accompanied by an orchestra. When the choristers took over, they called upon Abba Father, pleading with Him to revive every dead thing in theirs and the people’s lives. In no time, every heart connected with the power of Heaven, with many reacting to the force of the anointing.
His sermon entitled “Unworthy Friends”, Evangelist Ope read from John 15:13-14 for his proof text. Other passages for the message included Romans 3:10;23, Romans 5:10, John 1:29, Proverbs 21:18, 1 Timothy 1:15, John 1:29, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Matthew 27:24-25 and Hebrews 12:24. The preacher focused on the supreme sacrifice made by Jesus Christ – dying on the Cross and paying the debt for human unrighteousness.
Citing the examples of Moses, Saul and Rahab, Evangelist Ope explained how God’s mercy covers all, never leaving out anyone who approaches the Throne of Grace with a contrite heart no matter their past. He noted that repentance is humans’ only hope of receiving the divine mercy that liberates. Accordingly, on the occasion of Easter Sunday, Evangelist Ope enjoined the church to stay mindful of Christ’s unrelenting love and to stop self-condemnation.
A Word For Congregants
Building on the day’s sermon, Pastor Evelyn Joshua asked the people, “Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Saviour, Healer, Deliverer and Blessing Provider?” She reminded them: “The only way to feel good about yourself is to believe and accept all He has done for you.”
She continued, “Jesus was crucified and was hanged between thieves, buried in a borrowed grave. He was denied, rejected by friends as they collected pieces of silver in the shadow of the Cross.” She then assured the congregation: “A Christ-like life is a life of service. If you desire, God will give you the enablement.”
SCOAN Three-Day Revival Meeting
After her word of exhortation to the people, Pastor Evelyn Joshua introduced highlights from the Three-Day Revival Meeting at The SCOAN Prayer Mountain.
During the revival programme, God’s people had had ample time to worship, meditate, listen to the Word and receive prophetic prayer for the pulling down of strongholds.
Indeed, plentiful was the manifestation of God’s power and many were the testimonies of the people!
And Every Dead Thing Came To Life!
“May the peace of revival remain with you, in the name of Jesus,” declared Pastor Evelyn Joshua at the start of the Prayer Line ministration.
Upon those at the Prayer Line she proclaimed: “Anything that is dead in your body will come to life, in the name of Jesus!”
As those ailing either in body or mind stood or sat for prayer, the resurrection power of the Cross moved in their situation, banishing despair from their hearts and calming their raging storms.
Among the people were pregnant women, some of whom had passed their due dates. With their situation not embarrassing Jesus, they received assurance from the Master Surgeon that their cases are now settled!
The SCOAN Evangelists also stood on the believer’s authority to expose and halt the activities of demons in the lives of numerous other congregants. Thank You, Jesus!
The Incomparable Power Of Resurrection
“Get ready to experience the power of resurrection,” Evangelist Chisom announced as he climbed on the altar for the Mass Prayer. “Ask God to break sin’s power over you,” he added.
Firing the first salvo, Evangelist Chisom prayed: “Every spirit that is not of God operating in your life – anywhere it is: Out, in the name of Jesus!”
Evangelist Joseph nudged congregants to decree: “Contrary spirits saying ‘no’ to the will of God in my life: Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”
“Every spirit of affliction operating in your life: Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!” Evangelist Ope charged the people to declare.
Evangelist James told the church to pray: “You unclean spirit, familiar spirit stealing from my life, family – I command you, in the name of Jesus: Out! Every spirit of destruction operating in my life, family – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua asked congregants to say: “Lord Jesus Christ, I trust You to deliver me even though I do not deserve it. Lord Jesus Christ, I trust You to bless me, for You are the Blessing Provider. Lord Jesus Christ, I trust You to heal me because You are the Healer.”
She prayed: “May the restoration power of our Lord Jesus Christ rest upon your life! May you receive the peace, blessing, breakthrough, freedom, healing of restoration, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
The Woman of God continued: “Everything that is dead in your life – begin to rise and walk, in the name of Jesus! Begin to experience the new life, in the name of Jesus Christ! Let there be freedom in your life, home, way, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua said to the people: “That spirit that torments your life: Out! Any area of your life that is not safe – command that devil to leave you!”
The man of God prayed: “Any area of your life that is not safe – be restored, in the name of Jesus! Your health, your finances – be restored, in the name of Jesus! Whatever areas of your life that are not yet saved – be restored, in the name of Jesus! Your kidneys, liver, blood, womb, bones, every faculty – be restored, in the name of Jesus! Receive your pass to good health, freedom, salvation in all areas of your life, in the name of Jesus!”
Easter Gifts For SCOAN Elders
As is the custom in The SCOAN, Pastor Evelyn Joshua celebrated Easter with the elderly members.
Thanking them for their steadfastness over the years, she gave the elders a cash gift of five million naira.
She also gave each person an umbrella and two bags of rice.

Sabina Gets On Her Feet Again!
Sabina had suffered from difficulty in walking for two years. With all other solutions having proved futile, she sought God’s face at The Arena Of Liberty on April 13, 2025. Following prayer by Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Sabina took to her feet again – for the glory of God! “Our problems should not keep us from God,” she advised.
And Asthma Flees!
For eight years Ilia had battled asthma, which hampered her studies at university. Always dependent on an artificial source of oxygen, she barely socialised with her peers. After a touch sanctioned by Heaven, however, Ilia received a fresh breath of life. “Now I can walk a long distance without panting,” she told the church. “There is nothing God cannot do,” she reminded others. Her mother confirmed the healing as she declared: “I am the happiest woman on this earth!” “Just put your trust in God; there is nothing He cannot do,” she advised.
Ilunga’s Back Pain Hears God’s Voice
Ilunga had been struggling with the problem of severe pack pain. Although an X-ray suggested that she was medically fit, doctors recommended a lumbar corset and various medications. But the pain didn’t go away. However, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, during the three-day revival meeting, Ilunga’s story changed when Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. “Instantly the pain vanished,” she recalled, demonstrating all that she can now do. Stroke Succumbs To The Name Of Jesus!
Marina had suffered a stroke that badly affected her hands, with the situation worsened by pain in her lower back. “It affected my job so much,” she said, “despite the lumbar corset I was using.” For the glory of God, Marina also received her healing at the three-day revival meeting. “Do not hesitate to run to Jesus,” she advised others.
No Longer Under Bondage Of Family Idols
Ariretu had grown up watching her father feed a family idol. As might be expected, the idol crept into Ariretu’s life, afflicting her with bad dreams and the spirit of anger. “I was always dreaming of being inside a river,” she disclosed. “I also found that my negative pronouncements against people always came to pass.” Moreover, she struggled to gain university admission despite her brilliance, even as suitors frequently abandoned her. “My eventual marriage was a nightmare,” she confessed, noting that it was dogged by poor health and stagnation. “During sleep, a force was always pressing down on me,” she added.
After her father’s death, the family was engulfed in many unfortunate incidents over which she started to pray and seek God’s face. “I realised the problem wasn’t ordinary,” she said. At some point, her husband called The SCOAN Prayer Line and she received prayer over the phone. At the revival meeting of April 19, 2025, Ariretu fell under the influence of the Holy Spirit as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered. The family idol is now a thing of the past!
Emmanuel TV Transforms Edward’s Life!
On discovering Emmanuel TV, Edward realised that he had yet to build a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. However, he also found that he had not been excluded from God’s mercy. “I started making serious progress and built a school for the less-privileged,” he disclosed. For Goodness, it was not a good experience at all as she struggled with fibroids, ovarian cysts and kidney issues. Her blood pressure was also problematic, amid constant fevers and a bulging stomach. In faith, her husband visited The SCOAN with her picture. As her husband received prayer in The Arena Of Liberty, Goodness felt a rumbling in her stomach on the hospital bed back home. “For a good two days I kept expelling unwanted fluids from my system,” she said. When he returned home, Goodness’ husband ministered the Anointing Water on her. Within days, the ailing woman’s body had received divine strength, although the doctors had claimed that she had only a 30% chance of survival. “Don’t stop believing in God,” she counselled.
Medical Doctor Meets The Master Healer
Dr. Morris, a highly-trained medical practitioner, had been suffering from a severe waist pain that later degenerated into lumbar spondylosis after a domestic accident. Being a medical doctor, it was somewhat embarrassing that he was being messed up by an issue that could also lead to paralysis. Dr. Morris became accustomed to pain as he struggled to walk daily. However, on Saturday, April 19, 2025, during the Three-Day Revival Meeting at The SCOAN Prayer Mountain, the power of God fell upon the doctor as an evangelist ministered prayer to him. In 2024, Alberta had visited The SCOAN all the way from Italy to seek God’s face over the problem of stagnation. She had received the Anointing Water and Sticker. As she continued to minister the Anointing Water, an opportunity came and she bought a shop. After placing the Anointing Sticker on her shop, she witnessed an upsurge in sales and bid goodbye to stagnation. Refusing to give up, the devil attacked Alberta with a mental problem. “I came again to The SCOAN and the God of Prophet TB Joshua delivered me,” she said. Household Idol Ejected!
Growing up with his grandmother, Samuel witnessed idol-worshipping at its peak. “I participated in numerous rituals involving snakes but never knew those things would later haunt me in life,” he admitted. As he came of age, he started experiencing many setbacks, especially in his line of work. “After I got married, I suffered many illnesses and began to suspect my wife was from the marine kingdom,” he explained. Wandoo And Son Triumph Over Diabetes And Asthma
For two years Wando had been suffering from diabetes, which caused her to frequent the hospital for insulin injections and other forms of medical intervention. “It was a hereditary issue that had taken the lives of my grandmother and my father,” she opened up. Regarding the fluctuations in Wandoo’s blood sugar, doctors had warned that it could affect her kidneys. “And the kidney problem did arise,” she told the church. Instead of panicking, however, she took her case to God Almighty. Following an anointed touch from Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Wandoo felt an instant change in her system. “Tests confirmed that my blood sugar is now within range,” she said.
