SCOAN Children’s Christmas Party 2025: Songs, Drama and the Spirit of Christmas

The Sunday School Children’s Choir captivated the congregation with a heartwarming song presentation, their voices blending beautifully as they sang of God’s goodness and love. Their performance drew smiles and applause, affirming the truth of Proverbs 22:6 about training a child in the way of the Lord.

Adding to the festive atmosphere, the children thrilled the audience with an energetic dance titled “Joy at Christmas”, expressing the happiness and hope that came with the birth of Jesus Christ.

A special moment followed as Esther Oputteh delivered a breathtaking operatic rendition of “Silent Night,” filling the auditorium with serenity and awe.

Laughter and excitement soon followed with the arrival of Santa Claus and the Teletubbies, as the children excitedly engaged in face art, games and creative activities that added colour and fun to the celebration.

The Christmas Babies also delighted the congregation with their performance, reminding all of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s timeless words:

“Christmas is a time to give and a time to show love, forgiveness and compassion. It is a time for sober reflection not only on the benefits of Christmas but also on our unworthy past.”

Through tongue twisters, games anchored by Deborah and Esther, and joyful interactions, the children’s excitement filled the air with laughter and cheer.

Teaching Purpose, Faith and Love

An inspiring session followed as Ugochi addressed the children on the theme “Raising a Godly Seed,” encouraging them to grow in faith, obedience and godly character.

The children further brought the message of Christmas to life through a playlet titled “Purpose Was Born at Christmas,” while another evangelistic drama, “The Woman With The Issue Of Blood,” vividly illustrated the power of faith as recorded in Mark 5:25–34.

Through poetry, song and drama, including a touching poem titled “Man of Galilee” recited by Helen, the children expressed their love for Jesus Christ and deepened their understanding of His life and mission.

Pastor Evelyn Joshua’s Charge to the Children

Addressing the children with warmth and motherly affection, Pastor Evelyn Joshua encouraged them to remain grounded in godly values and devotion to God from an early age. She expressed her joy at seeing the children gathered to celebrate, saying:

“I am happy to see you all today. I want you to always be who you are. The Bible says that the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom – let the fear of God be deeply registered in your hearts. Be children who declare the name of God in the congregation of His people.

Continue with your Sunday School lessons and listen to your teachers, for no knowledge is ever lost. To become a hero of faith like those in the Bible, it all begins from childhood. Take your Bible stories seriously; they are not just stories. As you grow, they become a reality that guides everything you do.”

Her words resonated deeply with parents, teachers and the congregation, reinforcing the importance of nurturing faith and character in the next generation.

Moments later, Pastor Evelyn Joshua joined the children in a joyful celebration as she cut her birthday cake, further heightening the festive atmosphere.

Gifts, Gratitude and Closing Prayer

True to the spirit of Christmas, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the SCOAN Evangelists shared gifts with the children reinforcing the message of love and generosity.

The celebration concluded with a closing prayer led by Evangelist Joseph, thanking God for His faithfulness and for bringing His children together to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, once again drawing from Matthew 19:14.

Indeed, the SCOAN Children’s Christmas Party 2025 stood as a beautiful reminder that Christmas is not only a season of joy but a divine opportunity to plant love.
