THE POWER OF GOD

The Sunday service at the Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria, May 23, 2010, was a service with the demonstration of God’s mighty power. This was reflected right from the start with the message of Prophet T.B. Joshua titled: The Power Of God. In his message, the man of God said, “If the power of God were to be present in a meeting, my next question would be, ‘What did the power do?’” He then quoted Acts 10:38 – “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good, healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.” Prophet T.B. Joshua further explained the Scripture by saying, ”God’s power working through His Word and His Spirit brings about the result. We have not done anything to bring about healing, deliverance, redemption, salvation – God’s power working through His Word and Spirit brings them.”
It is only by watching the rebroadcast on Emmanuel TV during the week that one can justly explain what the power of God did during the Sunday live service at The SCOAN.
After the message, Mr Segun Maku and his family came forward. In the previous week’s service he had been called out by T.B. Joshua through a prophetic message which revealed that he was a witchdoctor going about with his charms. He came forward and quickly fetched the occultic items that he had hidden outside the church premises among flowers. As he displayed the various satanic tools, T.B. Joshua prophesied further that the most potent of his charms had been left at home – including a white pot and a demonized pigeon. Startled by the level of prophetic revelation, he confirmed the prophecy to be true and confessed that he was too scared to carry the most dangerous charms that he owned.
The Emmanuel TV Team, equipped with the prophet’s instruction and the miraculous Anointing Water for salvation, healing and deliverance, followed Mr Maku home to bring the remaining charms, including the demonized pigeon which he had been using to send on missions to kill and destroy at his customers’ request. Mr Maku safely returned with his deadly charms and his wife and children. At the service the following Sunday, Maku described his devious dealings with occultism and brought out his most lethal charms. Maku appealed to T.B. Joshua that he wanted to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal Saviour. In response, Prophet T.B. Joshua delivered Mr Maku and the demonized pigeon by the power of God and declared them free.
After this, Mr Anthony Nwaemeka from Anambra State, Nigeria who had been given a prophetic message the previous week and was also escorted by members of the Emmanuel TV Team to his home to collect the charm which T.B. Joshua described as having a ‘stupid power’. Video footage was played of when Mr Nwaemeka went to collect his charm. As he sprayed the Anointing Water for salvation, healing and deliverance on the charm itself, (which he explained had been prepared using a human tongue and a premature baby), thick smoke oozed out of the charm. He explained that this was the spirit coming out.
Also during the service, we saw the spectacular demonstration of God’s power in the life of Mr Cuthbert Elkana Dube of Zimbabwe. A man of many titles including Group Chief Executive Officer Of Premier Service Medical Aid Society, Chairman of West End Hospital, Chairman of Premier Banking Corporation and President of Zimbabwe Football Association to name a few, had come to The SCOAN in a wheelchair, unable to walk due to a severe spinal cord problem. As he sat in the front row close to the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua began to talk about his case. He then called Mr Cuthbert Elkana Dube’s wife forward to administer the Anointing Water for salvation, healing and deliverance to her husband. He instructed her to apply it into his mouth, on his head, to the back of his neck and down his spine. He then said, “Stand up!” and at that word – he did. The auditorium exploded into praise and worship to God for His mighty deeds.
God has recently raised up three men of God from The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations for His glory and has been showing Himself strong in their lives. Footage was shown of the Synagogue’s weekly registration on Thursday. Prophet T.B. Joshua handed the microphone over to these three men to pray for the sick and afflicted people. As they started praying, it was as if the Heavens opened and descended upon the gathering. Demons were cast out as deliverance took place, people were healed, accurate prophetic messages were given to many who immediately confirmed them to be true. As T.B. Joshua says, “The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. The Word and the power must go together. Not only must we have God’s Word in order to be a pastor or a bishop – we must have God’s Spirit.
During the second service the three men were the ones praying for the people at the prayer line. The people that came for prayer with different afflictions, from all walks of life, came with one hope in mind – that God would answer their prayer to bring an end to the common calamities of life they were facing. Many people not only received immediate relief from their pain, but also received prophetic messages revealing the root cause of their problem. In the words of T.B. Joshua: “The name Jesus has power indeed but only among those who are committed to the glory of God.”
Another highlight that took place during the second service was from among the foreign visitors. Mr Frank Dagbe from Ghana had come with his daughter whom he had reconciled with after a prophetic message he received during his first visit to The SCOAN. T.B. Joshua told him that there was a daughter he had denied and that if he did not reconcile with her he would never get it right in life. The prophecy he confirmed was true. Mr Frank Dabge explained that he had impregnated a girl when he was at school but flatly denied responsibility for the pregnancy and even asked his cousin to back up his claim. But we cannot deceive God, the Holy Spirit knows all things. After the prophecy was given he realized that only the truth would set him free, Mr Frank Dagbe traced his daughter in Ghana. Now Father and daughter are reconciled, happy and free.
