In melodious supplication and surrender to the Holy Spirit, The Emmanuel TV Choir started the SCOAN Sunday Service of June 26, 2022 by singing: “Welcome To My Heart, O Holy Spirit/Make Your Home In Me, O Holy Spirit.” They also went on to appeal to The Way Maker, The Miracle Worker, The Promise Keeper and The Light in The Darkness, whom they acknowledged as “Working In This Place”, that is, The Arena Of Liberty. As they sang, congregants sang along with them, displaying deep emotions that signaled the saturation of the atmosphere with the force of the Holy Spirit.
Afterwards, Evangelist Joseph joined congregants for the sermon. In a forceful, confident voice, he proclaimed the essence of “Standing On The Word” after a few introductory comments on the efficacy of the Word of God as a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12). Quoting God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua, he said: “You can count on God’s Word being good because it can’t fail without God failing.”
Among the Bible references for the message were 2 Timothy 3:16-17, John 10:10, Isaiah 55:10-11, Isaiah 40:8, Matthew 21:22, 1 Samuel 17:37, Exodus 14 and Psalm 23. The import of these references is the need for the believer to stay assured of God’s unfailing promises as contained in His Word, through which He speaks to humans. On that note, he urged congregants to make positive confessions always, assured that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross remains a guarantee against the spirit of fear. He told congregants to self-assert, “I am working with the Lord. There’s no room for fear. Fear has no power over me.”
Continuing the message, Evangelist Joseph asked congregants to always acknowledge God as their Source, Saviour, Deliverer and Healer, no matter the circumstance. Faith in God grows, he noted, when the believer realises that God is reliable always and is always saying something concerning every matter. In his concluding words, the preacher said: “Therefore, take today’s opportunity and secure tomorrow’s mystery by standing on God’s Word. As a Christian, realise your dream, talk as an overcomer, think as an overcomer and laugh as a victor, not a victim.”
Healing, Deliverance And Blessings As Part Of God’s Promises
While at the Prayer Line to claim the promises in the Word, Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared: “We are not here this morning to tell God how big our problems are … but we are here to tell our troubles that we have a big God!” She then prayed, “We command the anointing of God to flow into our lives … breaking every yoke and settling every question!”
All those who had gathered in worship received a touch from Heaven and the troubles in their lives bowed to the power in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Whatever the problem—be it epilepsy, ulcer, swollen belly, addiction, pregnancy complications, asthma, ceased menstruation, stiff neck, diabetes—the people’s testimonies are on the way, in Jesus’ mighty name!
There were further manifestations of God’s power as the evangelists joined the woman of God in ministering healing, deliverance and breakthrough in the all-powerful name of Jesus Christ, with all foul spirits taking their leave from the people’s bodies.
Prayer Without Boundaries
Commencing the Mass Prayer session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “It can only be You, O Lord! Father, the joy you have given us—may it never suffer corruption, in the mighty name of Jesus!” She then told the church: “By the Blood of Jesus Christ, begin to disconnect yourself from every demonic bondage in your life! Every constant experience of hardship, deception, rejection in your life—begin to speak against it right now.” She also decreed: “Every spirit of darkness in your life—be exposed, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.”
Evangelist Chisom told congregants to pray: “You darkness, anywhere you are in my life, family—I command you: Be exposed! You demon, unclean spirit, anywhere you are hiding—I command you: Out!”
Evangelist Joseph told congregants to pray: “I press in to touch You! Lord Jesus, deliver me!” He also prayed: “Every contrary spirit, within or outside….wherever you are, in the name of Jesus, we command you: Out!”
Evangelist Ope told congregants: “Whatever you might have eaten from the table of the enemy causing you disease, sickness, backwardness, disappointment—command it out, in the name of Jesus! That sickness in your blood, kidneys, liver—say: Out!”
Evangelist James told congregants to pray: “That spirit causing tension and pressure in your career, business, family, finances—command it to be quiet, in the name of Jesus!” He also prayed: “Receive the blessings that will make you to forget the pains of the past!”
To viewers all over the world Pastor Evelyn Joshua said: “Resist the oppressor and set yourself free!” She also prayed: “Every spirit that steals, kills and destroys, every spirit that causes you shame: Out, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
In a Mass Prayer clip, Prophet TB Joshua decreed: “You evil spirit, leave my people!” He also told congregants to declare: “By the grace of God, I am a child of God! By the righteousness of God, I am a child of God! You demon, I command you, in the name of Jesus—I command you on the right, left and back—I command you to leave my life, business, career and family! You devil, in the name of Jesus, I command you: Out!”
The man of God further declared: “Those of you under the influence of my voice right now, satan is under your foot! I say you have silenced his voice. His voice of sickness, disease, limitation, failure has been silenced, in the name of Jesus! I pray he remain under your foot, in Jesus’ name!”

No Longer A Child Of The Marine Kingdom
On Sunday, June 12, 2022, Mary was one of those impacted by the anointing at The Arena Of Liberty. Her problems had started when her mother consulted spiritual forces in her search for a child. “My mother used to tell me I was a special child,” she told the church during the service of June 26, 2022. Initially, Mary did not understand what her mother meant. But, as time went on, she began to notice something strange: Anytime she went to fetch water at the stream, she would find fish in her bucket of water. “You need to take the fish back,” her mother would tell her. She would further warn Mary, “The fish is your mother.” When she turned 16 years old, Mary went to the stream and disappeared into the inner recesses of the water. While searching for her, Mary’s parents were advised to offer propitiation to the spirit in the water. Meanwhile, down in the stream, Mary found that she was different at first but later became part-fish. After three months, Mary re-emerged from the bowels of the stream. By this time, the entire village had learned about her special status, and some would even taunt her about it. Physically, she had scales on her body and she had grown very long hair. Anytime she was upset with someone, she would twist the hair and as she did so, the person responsible for her anger would start to feel pains. In frustration, Mary left the village for the city. There, her problems worsened, with people easily disliking her. In her search for a solution, Mary was taken to different places. One spiritualist who had tried to help her was warned to desist. “I have been warned not to help you; you didn’t come here alone,” he explained to her. In frustration, Mary had her hair shaved off, thinking that would be the end of her problems. However, the problems worsened. Luckily, she had married a patient, understanding man, who eventually led her to The SCOAN for the service of June 12. As the service carried on and an evangelist moved towards Mary, she began to feel uncomfortable; she even tried to leave the hall a number of times. To the glory of God, however, an anointed hand landed upon Mary and she received her deliverance, after the mermaid spirit in her had confessed. Since then, Mary’s life has been transformed and peace, love and progress have become the family’s portion. She advised people to rely on God, saying, “Without God we are nothing.” She also advised couples to approach only God when seeking the fruit of the womb. Mary’s husband, Friday, corroborated the testimony. He also spoke about how the spirit of anger had made it difficult for him and the children to live happily with Mary. “She used not to greet me in the morning, but now she would seek me out to greet me,” he testified. “I pray that this change will be permanent, in Jesus name,” he added. He advised people to be patient in situations like his.
But For God, Her Leg Would Have Been Amputated!
On Sunday, January 23, 2022, Pastor Evelyn Joshua had prayed thus for Kehinde: “Let Your mercy speak for Your daughter. Let Your compassion speak for her.” The woman of God then ordered in faith, “Go!” Kehinde had needed prayers over her grievous problem of leg ulcer, which had resulted from an injury sometime in June 2020. She had had a minor fall while climbing the staircase. Although she got every treatment that she could, Kehinde did not get better as she moved from one hospital to the next. A doctor even suggested that she have the leg amputated, saying in despair: “I see nothing else we can do about it.” One day, while at work, Kehinde’s boss stumbled upon the wound and he advised her to visit The SCOAN for prayers. Glory be to God, Kehinde received prayerful ministration of the New Anointing Water and now her ulcerous wound has healed. “God has taken control; now I can walk,” she said as she tapped rapidly on the visible scar. “Whatever your problem, endeavour to move close to God,” she advised the world. She concluded, “I could never finish narrating what God has done for me through this church!”
Olajide Breaks free From An Evil Past!
For several minutes on June 19, 2022, the contrary spirit in Olajide had reacted aggressively and said so many things as it confessed its evils. In childhood, after Olajide became orphaned, an uncle had accepted to care for him only on the condition that he would start bearing his own name. Olajide had no choice. He then started running errands for his farmer uncle, who was also a chief in the village. When he became of age, Olajide decided to move away from the village and be his own man. Later on, he had a dream in which he was summoned to come to the village over his uncle. A couple of days later, Olajide was invited home for his uncle’s burial. After the burial, he began to see his uncle in the dream and they would interact. Later on, the uncle stopped appearing, now replaced by a snake. In real life, things became difficult for Olajide. He kept experiencing disappointment in business, even as he became seized by the spirit of anger. He also lost interest in women. After his deliverance last week, however, Olajide’s life has transformed for good. In fact, he had a dream in which God’s servant advised him to stop trying to help himself and to rely on God. Now, Olajide’s ties with the evil past have been broken permanently, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ! “Run to God!” he advised people.
Rescued From Addiction To Licking Her Own Blood And Eating Her Pubic Hair!
“I make her eat in the dream! I make her drink her own blood!” Those were some of the statements uttered by the evil spirit in Elizabeth as God’s power fell upon her on Sunday, June 19, 2022. It had all started when she was 16 years old. During preparations for Elizabeth’s sister’s marriage, their uncle took them back home to their father, a rich king who had rejected them simply because they were girls. Before he accepted to have the marriage contracted, Elizabeth’s father had requested some items including a goat, bags of rice and certain other traditional items. Elizabeth did not like the idea, having been raised as a Christian. She decided she would not undergo such a ritual when it was time for her to marry. At age 17, when she saw her first menses, something strange happened: Elizabeth tasted her own blood. She said, “It tasted like honey to me.” She also began eating her own pubic hair. Every night, she would snack on her pubic hair, head hair and nails, not wanting any food at all. Eventually, she got married her own way, refusing to waste the items for the marriage on “mere strangers.” She ate up all the items alongside her husband and family members! Still a virgin on the night of her marriage, Elizabeth had a hard time giving up her virginity. When it eventually happened, she did not like the way she had felt, although it resulted in a pregnancy. The long and short of it was that the marriage eventually packed up, as she could not submit to her husband’s authority. Afterwards, Elizabeth started work as a maid at the home of a rather well-off woman. It was there that she stumbled upon Emmanuel TV. During one prayer session with Prophet TB Joshua on TV, Elizabeth laid her hand on the TV screen and she fell flat on the floor, vomiting all the poisonous substances in her system, including all the hair she had been eating for the past many years. Elizabeth had now become a believer in God’s awesome power as displayed in the SCOAN. During an attempt to travel to London with her boss, Elizabeth had found her visa request rejected. She told her boss she would take the case to the God of Prophet TB Joshua. Only a week later, the visa request was granted—and the trip happened, to her utmost delight! And so, on June 19, she had been in church and the Spirit of God had located her for permanent deliverance. “Now I have the urge to return to marriage,” said Elizabeth as she listed the many changes that have now happened in her life. “Distance is not a barrier; one day, God will deliver you the way He delivered me,” she advised people.
Testimony After Prayer
Earlier in the service, Roseline had received a touch over her problem of arthritis. She had been using a knee brace to help ease her pain. Immediately after the prayer, however, she had received her complete healing and was able to dance freely throughout the praise session. Now she can do every other thing she had been unable to do before, including squatting and walking smartly. Discarding her brace, she advised people to take their issues to God. “Don’t lose hope; God has the final say,” she said.
