Later in the evening of June 4, 2023, many of the congregants who had been at the Sunday Service earlier, made their way to The SCOAN Prayer Mountain for the Second Remembrance Candlelight Service And Procession In Memory of Prophet TB Joshua. The events lasted for just a couple of hours into the night and everyone was delighted to be part of them, starting with the song ministration by The SCOAN Choir.

Evangelist Ope welcomed all as he gave the opening remarks and spoke on the significance of the evening’s events.

Next, Evangelist James shared words of exhortation with the people. He talked about the life of God’s servant and encouraged the people to cultivate the habit of praying constantly and meditating on God’s Word every time. “What a blessing Prophet TB Joshua was to our generation!” he said.

Before the procession started, Pastor Evelyn Joshua thanked the people for their love for Prophet TB Joshua, The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV. She encouraged them to keep spreading the message of love, faith and salvation.

The woman of God, flanked by her daughter Promise and The SCOAN Evangelists, then led the Candlelight Procession/Walk Of Faith while meditating on the Word and glorifying God for the life of the founder of The Synagogue, who had blazed a trail over 30 years ago by breaking into the isolated swamp that is now The Prayer Mountain.

After a number of rounds of the procession, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and everyone else gathered prayerfully at the Junction of the Cross to drop their lit candles. Indeed, blessed is the memory of the righteous!

Everyone then returned to the prayer grounds for another session of worship before listening to a message from Bishop Steven Ogedengbe, who spoke on “the mystery of our prophet”, citing Acts 9. “If God be for us, who can be against us?” he asked in reference to the persecution faced by Prophet TB Joshua throughout his time as a preacher of the message of love, peace, charity, faith and salvation.

Bishop Ogedengbe enjoined the people to ignore the persecutors of the TB Joshua Ministries. “The more they persecute you, the more the promotion,” he said. Describing Prophet TB Joshua as a man who gave without expecting anything in return, he advised the people: “Live a life of giving.”

Before saying the closing prayer, Evangelist Chisom thanked the people for participating in the Candlelight Procession, declaring: “Because you honoured Prophet TB Joshua, you have received the prophet’s reward, in Jesus’ name!”
