Recap of The SCOAN Sunday Service, Our Year of Overflowing Joy, featuring “Fuel The Right Fire” and other highlights.

SCOAN Sunday Service (Jan 18, 2026): Fuel The Right Fire

The SCOAN Sunday Service: The SCOAN Choir

With thankful hearts, the people resolved to lose no moment thanking the Almighty in this Year of Overflowing Joy. Anchored on 1 Thessalonians 5:16, the preacher urged the congregation to rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances.

As the congregation sang, ‘Anytime I See Another Breaking of the Day, I Say Thank You, Lord,’ God stirred their hearts to remember His daily mercies. The people recalled the timeless counsel of Prophet T.B. Joshua that “Thank You, Jesus, is a response from a happy heart.”

The SCOAN Sunday Service: The SCOAN Choir

The SCOAN Choir led the congregation into deeper worship with the timeless hymn, “Blessed Assurance, Jesus Is Mine,” reminding all of the unshakable hope, peace and joy found in Christ alone. As voices blended in unity, the Arena of Liberty became saturated with the tangible presence of God.

Worshippers expressed themselves freely under the anointing, many lifting their hands in surrender and others bowing in quiet reflection, as God expelled every impure thing from hearts yielded to Him.

United in faith, the people declared with conviction, ‘We worship You, our Lord; You are worthy to be praised!’ Truly, the Living God demonstrated His power as hearts connected through faith, meditation, and sincere worship. It was a moment that reaffirmed worship as both a weapon and a refuge for the believer.

Partial Stroke Bows to the Anointing

It was on March 23, 2025 that Solomon received prayer over a stroke that had threatened to incapacitate him.

Here is his testimony:

One fateful night, I woke up to urinate but found that I couldn’t move, I was taken to hospital. They said I had a partial stroke from bleeding in the brain.

Of course, the breadwinner couldn’t go to work anymore, leaving my family in a precarious condition.

My wife quickly rushed to The SCOAN, where she got the Anointing Water and ministered it on me. By the time I returned for another scan the bleeding in the brain had vanished.

It was after this that I came for prayer in March 2025, after which I recovered my full faculties.

For advice, they told the people: “Have faith in Christ Jesus and believe in God’s power in the Anointing Water.

Peace of Heart Returns as Prisca Breathes Freely Again!!

One morning, while bathing her baby, Prisca suddenly started having heart palpitations. “It led to difficulty in breathing,” she said on January 18, 2026.

Here is her testimony:

I complained to my husband, who arranged for me to go to hospital. We did many tests that led to me having to take numerous medications.

Meanwhile, on the home front, I couldn’t handle my daily activities. I couldn’t stay in dusty places or bear to smell burning food in the kitchen.

I ended up relying on inhalers and other medications, although the doctors couldn’t ascertain the exact issue with my heart.

After prayer on January 11, 2026, I saw my health restored for the glory of God.

Her husband confirmed the testimony. “She is now calm – and I have my peace of mind back,” he said.

For advice, they told the people: “Trust in God and take your issues to him.”

Gozie Gives God a Try – and Wins Big

“He ate my food,” declared the demon speaking through Gozie during the deliverance session of the service of January 11, 2026.

Here is his testimony:

It transpired that I had eaten the food and drinks offered to marine spirits along a riverbank in the village; I had also taken the money added to the sacrifice and doing strange things after that time.

I became a smoker and abuser of drugs, as well as a peddler of drugs. I joined bad company and spent my time doing crime.

At this time, I had also started having dreams in which I slept with various women.

Waking up wet meant changing my shorts, and rarely finding favour made me realize things weren’t going well, so I decided to seek a spiritualist for help.

A Change Of Heart

A friend took me to a witch doctor who gave me protective charms and drew a special tattoo on my wrists. It made me vanish before the police could arrive, so my crime partners started to suspect me.

I got deeper into drugs. The drugs made me euphoric and nothing could ever bother me at those points. I never cared for church or spiritual things. But a turning point came.

My younger sister gave me a piece of her mind about my behaviour and that forced me to think about my life. I approached an acquaintance in the neighbourhood for advice.

He invited me to The SCOAN, and I initially dismissed it as a scam. But I later decided to give God a try. That was how the Spirit of the Lord located me, following a touch by one of the evangelists.

After this experience, I returned home and discarded my stock of illicit drugs. I also parted ways with my partners in the trade.

Although I had suffered temptations that could have made me engage in fisticuffs, I let God take charge. I also didn’t regret my decision even when the police arrested me.

Now I sleep well – no nightmares or the desire to smoke. I thank God for saving me from addiction, which cost me everything, and for transforming me from a tiger into a sheep.

For advice, he told the people: “Go to a living church.”

Ruth Finds Jesus Christ, Quits Life without Purpose

“How many of you are in this body?” asked the evangelist as he engaged the foul spirit bothering Ruth‘s life. “There are 28 of us,” answered the demon. Minutes later, the fire of the Holy Ghost consumed it. The following week, Ruth returned for her testimony.

Here is her testimony:

I had been having strange dreams from a young age. I used to sleep with male figures in the dream. Those dreams led me into a life of lust.

I was always engaging in affairs with different men, including married ones, leading to serious problems in their homes.

Inevitably, my education was affected and rumours flew around about my escapades. I was always watching pornography and signing up on dating sites.

A Touch Of Heaven

After being led to the church by my mother, I saw the root cause of my problems destroyed.

Ruth’s mother also testified about her own healing and deliverance from the powers of her parents’ household. “Train your children in God’s ways,” she advised others.

Ruth apologised to her mother for the pain she had caused. “I am a changed person, mother,” she pleaded on her knees.

For advice, she told the people: “Young women avoid dating married men and live decently.”

“Let Your Faith Define Your Situation,” Says Youth Healed of Leg Fracture

On August 17, 2025 Jesse received prayer over fracture of the tibia. “I was working in my shop one day when I tripped over a stone and sustained the injury that led to the fracture,” he said on January 18, 2026.

Here is his testimony:

I had taken some medications, the injury had somehow failed to respond to treatment. I couldn’t do anything and had to rely on my mother and siblings.

After receiving a touch of healing back in August, I saw himself walking freely again.

For advice, she told the people: “Have faith in God; let your faith define your situation.”

SCOAN Sunday Service: Fuel The Right Fire

LISTEN TO THE SERMON TITLED: FUEL THE RIGHT FIRE

Following the powerful testimonies, Evangelist David stepped onto the altar to usher the congregation into the Word of God, declaring, “This is our year of overflowing joy!”

Evangelist David addressed the congregation, saying, “Many of us are praying earnestly for deliverance, asking God to remove anger, envy, jealousy, hatred, pride, unforgiveness, greed, discontentment, comparison, bitterness, lust, evil thoughts, resentment, fear or anxiety from our lives. Yet, unknowingly, we continue to fuel these very fires through what we watch, what we listen to, the thoughts we dwell on and the company we keep.”

He then announced the title of his sermon as “FUEL THE RIGHT FIRE.” (PROOF TEXT: PROVERBS 26:20; JAMES 3:3–6, 9–12)

Teaching from the Scriptures, Evangelist David explained, “In Proverbs 26:20, King Solomon uses the image of fire to teach us a timeless truth about life: some things die naturally when you stop feeding them. When there is no more wood, the fire naturally dies out. Some fires in our lives are burning uncontrollably – not because the devil is powerful but because we keep supplying the wood.”

He further observed, “Many of the troubles, temptations and conflicts we face persist not because God is not answering prayers but because we keep feeding the very ‘fire’ we want God to quench.

Call To Our Daily Christian Life

Speaking candidly about daily Christian living, he noted, “We pray for peace, yet we entertain fear and anxiety through the company we keep, the content we consume and the thoughts we meditate on.

We pray for spiritual growth, yet spend more time nurturing our flesh than our faith, continuing to fuel the very things we are praying against, saying we want love while holding on to bitterness.

We are asking God to remove anger, yet we keep nursing bitterness in our hearts, replaying the offence in our minds.”

Highlighting the importance of the inner life, Evangelist David emphasized, “The heart is the control center of your life. Every action, word and decision begins in the heart. That is why satan targets your thoughts because if he can pollute your heart, he can derail your life. Whatever you keep feeding there will eventually flow out in your words, actions and emotions.”

Quoting Prophet T.B. Joshua, he reminded the church, “Prophet T.B. Joshua once said: ‘Your heart is the contact point for the Holy Spirit. If your heart is not at its best, your prayer will not be at its best.’ This means our greatest duty is to watch over the condition of our hearts.”

Using cause-and-effect examples, he warned, “If you sow fear into your heart by constantly meditating on negative reports, you will reap anxiety. If you nurture anger with revengeful thoughts, fear with negative imaginations, or bitterness by constantly rehearsing offenses, they will consume, paralyze, and poison your soul.

Illustrating his message vividly, Evangelist David said, “You can’t plant pepper and expect mangoes. You can’t water weeds and pray for banana. Example: Some of us say, ‘God, help me not to get angry,’ and then you replay the insult 30 times before going to bed! You even act out what you should have said! Stop feeding that fire. Let it go!”

Make The Right Choice

Calling believers to make deliberate choices, he declared, “Every fire needs fuel but you can choose which fire burns in your heart. You can’t bind what you continuously entertain. You can’t rebuke what you secretly enjoy. Instead of feeding anger, fear, and bitterness, nurture forgiveness, faith, and joy. When life seems against you, stop cursing your situation. Speak life, hope and gratitude.”

Explaining practical steps, Evangelist David advised, “Locate the wood. What keeps this fire alive? Who or what is the source? What are you watching, reading, listening to, or thinking about that fuels it?”

Continuing, he instructed, “Remove the wood. Make a conscious decision to stop supplying fuel to that fire. It may mean cutting off certain habits, friends or activities. Jesus said in Matthew 5:29: ‘If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away.’ This means remove whatever keeps feeding the wrong fire.”

Reinforcing the principle of spiritual growth, he stated, “The heart is like soil: it will grow whatever you plant and water. You can’t keep complaining and expect joy in your spirit. Real transformation begins when you decide to starve the wrong fire and feed the right Spirit.”

Concluding the sermon, Evangelist David exhorted the church, “Starve anger by refusing to replay offences in your mind. Starve fear by refusing to meditate on the lies of the enemy. At the same time, feed peace by meditating on God’s promises. Feed joy by giving thanks in all things, by choosing to see people through the eyes of Christ, love through forgiveness and feed faith through meditation on God’s Word.”

The SCOAN Sunday Service: Healing Session

Expectations ran high as Evangelist Joseph stepped to the Prayer Line and urged the people, ‘All things are working together for my good.’

He reminded the congregation, ‘Your genuine willingness and God’s ability are required,’ and then prayed for the sick in the mighty name of Jesus. Indeed, God’s power tore apart every appearance of evil in the lives of the people.

SCOAN Evangelists

Soon, other Evangelists joined him, and they intensified the battle against the kingdom of darkness. No matter the magnitude of the problem, the name of Jesus proved more than enough to bring freedom and salvation.

As they ministered in power, God healed cases including difficulty in walking, skin disease, hernia, asthma, sickle cell anaemia, difficulty in breathing, kidney failure, eye problems, and lung cancer, in the mighty name of Jesus.

Women seeking safe delivery also placed full trust in God, believing their stories would end in praise and gratitude to the Mighty Man in battle.

The Evangelists continued to plead the Blood of Jesus, and other challenges—drug addiction, spirit of gambling, alcoholism, hepatitis, stroke, peptic ulcer, gallstones, cataract, and stomach ulcer—vanished from the lives of the people.

With the power of God moving, freedom and deliverance became automatic. Every obstacle that hindered the progress of God’s children gave way to peace and unlimited joy. The Evangelists proclaimed, “Stand up; you are free!

SCOAN Sunday Service Mass Prayer (January 18, 2026)

The SCOAN Sunday Service: The SCOAN Evangelists

Evangelist Chisom told the people at the start of the Mass Prayer session, “Let’s clap for Jesus.” He added, “The Spirit of the Lord is present here,” and urged the people to pray, “O Holy Spirit, do not pass me by.”

He read from Exodus 14:13-14 and prayed, “That sickness, poverty, bondage, limitation, setback that you are experiencing today – by the power in the Blood of Jesus, you shall see it no more! Whatever spirit that is troubling your life, causing sickness, limitation – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”

Evangelist James declared, “You ancestral spirit, you family idol operating in my life, in my family – I command you: Out, in the name of Jesus! Break every generational curse over my life – in the name of Jesus!

Evangelist Joseph prayed, “Your resurrection power upon me, O Lord! All spirits of affliction – anywhere you are: Out, in the name of Jesus! You sickness in my body – anywhere you are, I command you: Out, in the name of Jesus!”

Evangelist Ope commanded, “You spirit of financial, social, marital limitation – Out, in the name of Jesus!”

Prophet TB Joshua

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet T.B. Joshua declared, “I declare your heart free from barriers! Whatever barrier stands between your heart and the spirit of God – remove it!” He also urged the people to pray, You infirmity in my body – go, in the name of Jesus! Every spirit that is affecting your career – Out, in the name of Jesus!”

SCOAN Sunday Service: The Grace

Evangelist Ope led the sharing of The Grace: “Congratulations – the Lord has done it again!” he assures the people.
