Are you one of those who praise God always, no matter the circumstance? Or are you happy with God only when times are good? This was the key issue addressed in the Palm Sunday 2025 sermon, given on April 13 in The Synagogue. Congregants started the day with worship of the Almighty, singing “Hosanna In The Highest!” As they waved their spiritual palms in remembrance of Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem, they sang of God’s steadfast love and more. And in no small measure was anointing released for exploits in the people’s lives.
For the message, Evangelist James read from Luke 19:29-40. Summing up the narration in that passage, he said: “It was indeed the triumph of humility over pride, love and joy over hatred and bitterness.” He noted the crucial role of praise in the Christian walk, insisting, “God alone is worthy of our praise.” Worship being a duty that humankind owes the Creator, Evangelist James enjoined the people to praise God always, whether it is convenient or not. The preacher urged the people to focus on the Giver of blessings rather than the blessings, as that is the only way they can stay mindful of who God is and all that He has done and will do (Psalm 107:8).
When we praise God in times of challenges, the evangelist went on, God releases His strength in us, thus helping us to open the door for Him to work in us, through us and for us. After restating the need to praise God at all times, the preacher assured the people that praising God remains the only way to terrify satan and his agents. Finally, after noting that humans could never be trouble-free in the present world, Evangelist James quoted 1 Thessalonians 5:16-17 as he counselled congregants to pray and give thanks to God without ceasing.
Re-enacting Christ’s Triumph
As the sermon carried on, the children and youths of The Synagogue re-enacted Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem just outside the auditorium.
As usual, Pastor Evelyn Joshua was on hand to cheer them on – for the glory of God.
Urged Not To Join The Crucifying Multitude
Pastor Evelyn Joshua reinforced the Palm Sunday sermon. She urged the people to eschew covetousness, reminding them that Jesus Christ took permission before taking the colt on which he rode into Jerusalem. “Christ didn’t come to conquer by force but to win lives by love,” she observed.
On the need to serve God diligently and with all that we have, the woman of God said: “Nothing should be too dear for you to part with in the service of God.” Finally, she warned: “Do not join the multitude tomorrow in saying, ‘Crucify Him!’”
And They Followed The Lord’s Command
“Today we are reminded as Christians to continue to welcome Jesus into our hearts,” said Pastor Evelyn Joshua to congregants as she joined them for the Prayer Line ministration.
She prayed: “Father Lord, we bless Your holy name. We thank You for the grace to be in Your presence today. We have come again as children come to their father. At Your command, we want to follow You. You commanded Peter to follow You and He obeyed. You restored his wasted hours; he remembered his pain, his sorrows no more. Father Lord, we ask You to help us to do better than we can ordinarily do.
We want to walk by Your side, feel Your hand in our hands. We want to see the joy, the peace in walking in Your strength, not ours. Lord God, as we stand before You this morning, we stand before our challenges – all that is questioning our Sonship in You. Father, restore our hope, peace, freedom, in the name of Jesus! Thank You, Lord!”
Again, the wonder-working power of God Almighty availed much in the lives of people from all over the world. Among the cases were difficulty in walking, difficulty in breathing, drug addiction, gambling addiction, heart problem, piles, difficulty in urinating, and swollen belly.
Other beneficiaries of God’s power were women seeking the safe delivery of their babies, some of whom were lying in unnatural positions in the womb. For the women with breast lumps and bleeding issues, Jehovah Rapha also placed His Right Hand upon them!
Alongside Pastor Evelyn Joshua, The SCOAN Evangelists prayed for people with issues such as bipolar disease, asthma, leg ulcers, diabetes, hernia, mental disorder, and swollen legs, among others.
Further, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the evangelists moved to other parts of the auditorium to lay hands on the rest of the people.
The woman of God also spent time at the Nursing Mothers’ Section.
Similarly, the evangelists ministered prayer in the Sunday School Section.
With every step, healing flowed. With every touch, burdens were lifted. And with every prayer, the power of resurrection came alive!
As God’s Word promises in Mark 16:17 – “And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues” – during the One-On-One session, every stubborn foul spirit surrendered at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ!
Blessed Beyond Their Imagination
“You are blessed beyond your imagination,” Evangelist Joseph assured the people at the start of the Mass Prayer session.
Evangelist Joseph urged the people to declare: “Lord Jesus, You are my Helper. Help me, Lord! Let Your will be done in my life – Your will of healing, deliverance, favour, blessings! All familiar spirits, contrary spirits, unclean spirits, demons, messengers of satan – anywhere you are, I command you: Out!”
Next, Evangelist James charged the people to pray: “You unclean spirit, you family idol fighting my life, frustrating my efforts – I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! You familiar spirit tormenting my life, tormenting my family – I command you: Out!”
Evangelist Chisom asked the people to pray: “You spirit causing me sickness, causing me affliction – anywhere you are operating in my body, I command you in the name of Jesus: Out! You sickness in my blood, kidneys – anywhere you are: Out!”
At his turn, Evangelist Ope prompted the people to say: “You spirit blocking my progress – from my father’s house, from my mother’s house – anywhere you are: Out!”
“Today is the day of my appointment with Christ Jesus,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua asked the people to declare. She declared upon the people: “Receive a new life, in the name of Jesus!”
The woman of God asked the people to place a hand wherever they were feeling pain, and to declare: “Lord, make my hand a tool of healing.” She then prayed for them: “We command every sickness in your system to get out, in the name of Jesus! Every power holding you down to where you do not belong – begin to loose yourself, in the name of Jesus. Power of stagnation, financial loss, everything that causes you shame – begin to loose yourself, in the name of Jesus! Spirit of greed, lack of contentment – be loosed from it, in the name of Jesus!”
Pastor Evelyn Joshua charged the people: “Confront your confrontations. Every spirit of idleness, laziness – begin to cancel it, in the name of Jesus! Any satanic influence in your life – begin to cancel it, in the name of Jesus. Every ladder of waste – begin to rebuke it right now, in the name of Jesus. Spirit of bankruptcy – begin to reject it from your life, in the name of Jesus!”
God’s special daughter prayed on: “Every breakthrough key that satan may have stolen from you – be restored, in the name of Jesus! In your business, in your job – be restored, in the name of Jesus! Be rescued today, in the name of Jesus! Be rescued from every weapon, every trap of the enemy, in the name of Jesus! Receive your peace! Receive harmony in your life, in your family! Peace of God in your family, in the name of Jesus!”
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua told the people: “Every infirmity in your blood, tendons, bones – command it out, in the name of Jesus!” He told them to decree: “You demon – I command you out of my life with all your trouble, all your setbacks, in the name of Jesus!”
The man of God prayed: “Anywhere sickness, disease is located in your blood, tendons, kidneys, fluids, liver, bones, on your skin – let the power of God come on you! I speak to your finances, business, career: Let the story change! You are freed! Let the power of God come on your business, career, life! The history of your business, family, marriage – begin to change!”

Anointing Restores Youth And Vitality To Patricia’s Life!
Although just 41 years old, she had cut the image of a much older woman while receiving prayer on April 6, 2025. As the fire of the Holy Spirit burned through her system, Patricia shook vigorously until she fell on the floor, a lumbar corset around her upper body. Minutes later, the foul spirits in her vanished at the command of the evangelist, who stood on the believer’s unquestionable authority. On April 13, Patricia returned to The SCOAN for her testimony. She began by narrating how she had witnessed snake visitations at home.
“We managed to kill the snake, but afterwards I started to feel severe pain all over my body,” she said. She had moved from hospital to hospital and from church to church, but there was no solution in sight for her problem of difficulty in walking. At The SCOAN, however, Patricia felt the mighty power of God and today she can move and walk freely for the glory of God. “Take that step of faith and visit a Bible-believing church for your own miracle,” an excited Patricia urged others.
God’s Power Heals Postpartum Depression
Three days after childbirth, 34-year-old Dasola had gone into postpartum depression. According to her father, Monsuru, he had locked her inside to keep the situation away from neighbours and friends. “Only one of my daughter’s friends persisted in asking after her,” Monsuru said. It was this friend who had brought spiritual items from The SCOAN, i.e. the Anointing Water and Anointing Sticker. “She gave her the water and I saw a difference immediately,” he explained. Although Dasola had been unable to eat or stand since having her baby, the situation changed after she received prayer in The SCOAN on April 6, 2025.
Amazed, her father had expressed his delight at the power of the living God in The SCOAN. “No one took money from me before praying for my daughter,” he noted, even as he hoped for a branch of The Synagogue in his Ibadan base. Monsuru prayed, “May the anointing continue to flow in this ministry.” Dasola’s friend, Titilola, told of how she had used the faith tools and also called the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line. “God is the Final Solution,” Titilola said. Demonstrating all that she could now do, Dasola said: “I glorify God for healing me through the faculties of His servants.” She assured the world, “God is here; trust in Him.”
As Ludovic Meets Christ, All Addiction Vanishes!
All the way from France, Ludovic had visited The SCOAN for prayer on April 6, 2025. A week later, he started his testimony by recalling some events from early childhood. “While I was ill as a child, my mother took me to a witchdoctor who rubbed an ointment all over my body,” he said. Afterwards, his grades started to plummet. “My mother took me to another witchdoctor,” he continued. But life never got better for the young man, who started having strange dreams in which a spirit wife got intimate with him. “I went into the army and started living recklessly, especially doing drugs,” he confessed.
A womaniser, Ludovic once got cursed by the father of one of his many women. From then on, he became violent and suicidal. “I had tried to jump from a six-story building but the mother of my children restrained me,” he recalled. As fate would have it, however, he discovered Emmanuel TV and started monitoring God’s work in The SCOAN. Persuaded by the Holy Spirit to visit The SCOAN for prayer, Ludovic had felt some strange discomfort as he participated in the service of April 6. It was clear that divine power was already circulating in his system. “As I received a touch from Pastor Evelyn Joshua, I became hot all over and blacked out,” he said. Now he is free from all smoking addiction and spiritual attacks. He advised people to seek refuge in the power of Jesus Christ.
With God’s Help, Kayoung Moves From Depression To Excellence!
Following a traumatic experience, Kayoung had been having suicidal thoughts since 2015. “Doctors said I had anxiety issues,” she said on April 13, 2025. She had wanted to be by herself all the time. “I didn’t feel like furthering my education anymore,” she opened up. However, her mother never gave up on her. “She came to The SCOAN and started praying for me, unknown to me at the time,” Kayoung continued. Her mother had also administered the Anointing Water on her, even as she had continued to pray for her. As time went on, Kayoung rediscovered her zest for life. “I told my mother I wanted to continue my education,” Kayoung said.
To the glory of God, she went on to graduate with a First Class in Business Administration at a Liberian university. She has also gone on to win a national pageant in the country. For freeing her from depression, anxiety, fear and isolation, as well as giving her the spirit of forgiveness, Kayoung praised God Almighty for not abandoning her. She advised parents: “Never give up on your children.” To fellow youth she said: “Open up to your parents.” Her mother confirmed the testimony, recalling how an image of Prophet TB Joshua had prophesied academic excellence into her daughter’s life. She said to other parents: “Your children are your first ministry.”
