NO EXCUSE FOR SIN

“No excuse for sin,” noted Evangelist Chisom during his sermon of the same title on Sunday, June 22, 2025. It was another blessed morning in The Arena Of Liberty as the people gathered for worship, knowing that only the blessings of the Lord make one rich without bringing sorrow and that only the Lord gives peace that passes all understanding.

As they raised their voices Heavenwards, congregants kept in mind God’s Word in 1 Thessalonians 3:9, which says: “For what thanks can we render to God for you, for all the joy with which we rejoice for your sake before our God.” From song to song, they honoured the Lord with their lips, bearing penitent hearts after having asked for the forgiveness of their sins. “O Lord, You Are Worthy To Be Praised!” they declared to Abba Father as the atmosphere became charged with heavenly fire.

“If God is with you, who can stand against you?” Evangelist Chisom asked as he joined the church. He read from Genesis 3:8-13, after which he commented on the Garden of Eden episode involving Adam and Eve. According to him, since the original sin involving the first couple, humans have tended to avoid taking responsibility for their wrongdoing, preferring “to shift the blame to others or to circumstances beyond their control.”

Evangelist Chisom noted that we have freewill and, therefore, possess discretion for choosing “between right and wrong, life and death, light and darkness.” Just as we claim the credit when things go well, we should admit our fault when we err instead of making excuses for our wrongdoing. “God does not sympathise with sin,” he noted. Like David, he went on, we must embrace repentance while asking for help to avoid sin.

Among other Bible verses for the sermon were Psalm 66:18, Psalm 51:4, 2 Chronicles 6:37-39, Proverbs 1:23, Jeremiah 15:19, Acts 3:19, Luke 13:1-3 and 2 Corinthians 6:2. In his concluding words, Evangelist Chisom counselled the people thus: “Do not wait for the consequences of your sin before you repent. Do not wait for a more convenient day to admit your wrongs and repent of them, because that day may never come.”

The Door And Key To A New Life

“God Almighty is with us and that is enough for us,” said Pastor Evelyn Joshua as she went amidst congregants.

The woman of God prayed: “Father Lord, we thank You because there is none like You; there is no god beside You. Thank You for Your love, grace, faithfulness, protection, victory. Father, we thank You for every good thing You have done in our lives, for the one You are doing now and the one that is yet to be done. Lord God Almighty, we thank You for Jesus Christ – the door and key to a new life, to a new beginning.

The universe is not big enough to contain the praise we have come to offer You this morning. Thank You, Father. Thank You, Lord who is able to take ordinary life lived by ordinary people and fill it with meaning. Father, we thank You for Your love that sets us apart for goodness. Father, we thank You for Your mercy that brought us to this glorious light. Almighty God, may Your name forever be praised, in the name of Jesus Christ.”   

Don’t Let Unbelief Steal Your Joy In God

Citing 2 Corinthians 1:20 and Jeremiah 33:3, Pastor Evelyn Joshua assured the church about God’s promises. She urged them to shun unbelief, which leads to emptiness and loneliness. “God is not far from you; just look by your side and He is there,” she told congregants. Turning to those at the Prayer Line, she charged them: “Don’t let unbelief steal your joy in God.”

With their faith boosted by the testimonies of others and the exhortation from God’s servant, the people presented themselves for prayer over various conditions. Among their issues were difficulty in walking, swollen belly/jaw/body, difficulty in urinating, asthma, cancer of the adrenal gland, hernia, and heart problems. And the power of the Living God sufficed in their cases.

Pregnant women also brought their cases to the Great Physician whose power knows no bounds!

Pastor Evelyn Joshua, supported by The SCOAN Evangelists, carried on the ministration of prayers of healing and deliverance. During the session, the Lord also settled cases of skin disease, chronic kidney failure, prostate enlargement, vaginal cancer, diabetes, mental disorder, drug addiction, and hole in the heart, among others.

In the Laying Of Hands segment, confessions flowed as foul spirits were exposed, freeing the afflicted from every form of bondage.  

Finally, the One-On-One session marked the beginning of breakthrough for all those afflicted with stubborn spirits.  

Every Negative Word Was Nullified!

“Ask God for mercy now,” Evangelist Ope told the church as he started the Mass Prayer session.

He asked congregants to pray: “Thou Son Of David, by Your divine mercy, every power holding me bound – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost! Every family idol holding me bound – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”

Evangelist Chisom urged the church to declare: “You spirit, anywhere you are operating in my life, in my family – I command you: Out, in the name of Jesus!”

On taking over, Evangelist James told the people to say with power: “Whatever I may have eaten at the table of the enemy, causing me sickness, causing me disease, causing me pain – by the authority in the name of Jesus, I command you: Out!”

At his turn, Evangelist Joseph asked the people to decree: “Contrary spirits blocking my destiny – I command you: Out!”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “We command the anointing of God to fall afresh on you, breaking every yoke and settling every question, in the name of Jesus! Be delivered from every chain, from every cage, from every entanglement!”

Regarding the challenges in their lives, the woman of God asked the people to plead: “Son of David, have mercy on me. Do not forsake me. Restore my glory.” She prayed: “May your lost glory be restored today, in the name of Jesus Christ! May your good health, your finances be restored, in the name of Jesus Christ! Freedom in your life, in your career, in your marriage!”

For viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “Every wall of frustration, limitation in your life – begin to crumble, in the name of Jesus! All powers holding you down to where you do not belong – we command them to be nullified, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every negative word spoken into your life that is causing you a lifetime of delay and disappointment – we command it to be nullified, in the name of Jesus Christ! Peace in your home, in your marriage, in your business, in your nation, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “Whatever harm demons may have done to your business, your career, your health, your marriage – Out, in the name of Jesus! Be healed, in the name of Jesus! Be it your kidneys, liver, blood, bones, fluids – be healed! Every sickness, every disease, every affliction within you – Out, in the name of Jesus! According to His Word, be delivered, be healed! Your healing – be granted, in the name of Jesus! Chain of affliction, disease, disappointment – be broken, in the name of Jesus!”

Stella Walks Again As Incontinence Vanishes!

One day, Stella got a call informing her that her daughter Mariam had suddenly lost the ability to walk. “We rushed her to different medical facilities and they kept telling me that I should pray,” Stella said at the start of her testimony on June 22, 2025. It was a most troubling time indeed for Stella. For three months she had been unable to do anything else but attend to the needs of her paralysed daughter, who was also unable to hold her urine. “Along the line, she told me that she had had a dream in which Prophet TB Joshua asked her to come to The SCOAN for her healing,” Stella said.

On being brought To The SCOAN, Mariam witnessed God’s power surge through her as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered prayer to her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. On ingesting the Anointing Water, Mariam began to shake – evidence that divine vitality was surging through her. Her paralysis had started after she went out to urinate one night and saw a group of people laughing at her. “That night I had a dream in which a man told me I had been selected as a sacrifice,” Mariam said. Like her mother, she advised others to seek God, with whom all things are possible.

Anointing Water Flushes Out Money-Wasting Addictions!

In 2014, Ndi, a Cameroonian, came into possession of the Anointing Water. From the age of 10, he had picked up the habit of smoking, following the example of a much older person in their residence. By the time he turned 30 years old, he had been in the habit of smoking and drinking for two decades. “I was an unfaithful husband as well,” he said. After he started the prayerful ministration of the Anointing Water, Ndi began to notice changes in his life.

“My deliverance from smoking also freed me from drinking and womanising, leading to more savings for me and my family,” he further explained. Ndi also testified about his healing in April 2025, after calling the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line. “I was hospitalised on March 30 over issues with my testes,” he said, “but two days later I was discharged after prayer by the evangelists.” He advised others, “Run to God for help.”

Ancestral Spirits Loose Their Hold!

On June 15, 2025, the foul spirit in Chidiebere made many confessions as the fire of the Holy Ghost burned it. Chidiebere had come from an idol-worshipping family. “My mother was the fifth wife and had hoped for a comfortable life, which turned out not to be,” she explained. It was a difficult life indeed for Chidiebere, who ended up getting married rather early just to find an easier life. “I faced so many problems in marriage and most of my siblings died over the years,” she explained. There was so much pressure on Chidiebere that she came down with high blood pressure and ulcers.

In the course of seeking a solution to her health issues, Chidiebere met a woman who urged her to try ingesting ‘native chalk’. “No matter how delicious any meal was, I would prefer my native chalk to it,” she confessed. She continued, “There was no peace in my life, right from my infancy.” Things got so bad that Chidiebere started losing it. “At such moments, I considered the fate of the nine children that were in my care, so I refrained from harming myself,” she said. Subsequently, God’s Spirit started to minister to the troubled woman.

“Twice I saw Pastor Evelyn Joshua in the dream and she ministered deliverance to me on the second occasion,” she said. Chidiebere then made her way to The SCOAN for prayer. “After the prayer, I received my deliverance and healing for my body,” she testified. Now she no longer has dreams where people chase her around. Moreover, she can now eat those foods that had been forbidden to her because of ulcers. Also gone is the urge for eating native chalk. “Now we are all happy in the family,” Chidiebere declared. “Have faith in God; He will settle your case,” she advised others. Her husband said, “No matter your problem, don’t run away from God.”

Freed From Destructive Marine Spirits

Blessing was supposed to inherit the marine powers that had been in her maternal line for the last two generations. “But I refused to be a part of it,” she told the church on June 22, 2025. There was a price to pay for that refusal, however. “We witnessed untimely deaths in the family and faced educational stagnation, with me being the only surviving graduate,” she disclosed. She also narrated how she had used to lose jobs regularly, until she prayed for God to provide her a business of her own. The powers of her mother’s household also afflicted her with the spirit of anger.

“I used to scoff at my husband for advising me to come to The SCOAN for deliverance,” she stated. On many occasions she had got so angry that she nearly stabbed her husband. Moreover, she constantly had issues with the people around her, getting sacked on multiple occasions. In fact, Blessing’s mini supermarket also failed because of her anger issues. When she also had a salon set up for her by her husband, Blessing ended up chasing away most of her customers.

Since receiving the touch of deliverance in the mighty of Jesus Christ, Blessing has come into a new life of peace and bliss. “I also no longer have those dreams where I used to find myself in the water,” she said. She advised others to run to God in any Bible-believing church. Taking over, her husband elaborated on Blessing’s past and told of how he himself had overcome nightmares after earlier discovering God’s power in The SCOAN. He advised others to embrace God’s power in The Arena Of Liberty. “Be focused while seeking God’s face,” he advised.

Scourge Of Bed-Wetting Ends, Knee Pain Vanishes

“I used to bed-wet from childhood,” confessed Patricia at the start of her testimony on June 22, 2025. While that was not her immediate testimony, following the prayer she received on June 1, 2025, she thought it necessary to start with that earlier testimony. “I had discovered Emmanuel TV in 2015 and started praying along on the station,” she explained.

As Patricia’s faith grew, the time of her deliverance drew nearer. Eventually, she witnessed God’s deliverance power as she broke free from the dreams that used to make her urinate in her bed. “I used to make my kids sleep on the same bed with me so I could blame the mess on them,” she went on. Since then. She has broken free from the spirit responsible for bed-wetting. In her second testimony, the Italy-based care worker told of how she had suffered from knee osteoarthritis for the past few years.

Despite getting extensive medical care for her torn ligament, she had failed to get better. To the glory of God, since receiving prayer a fortnight ago, Patricia has been walking freely, with her spark having returned. Patricia advised others to trust in God and to continue watching Emmanuel TV. Her sister, Bridget, confirmed the testimony, praising God for restoring the light of her family. She also told of how she had received healing for her ailing hand after coming to The SCOAN for prayer. “Miracles are happening in this place,” she said.
