In one of his most impactful quotes on charity, love and doing good for Christ’s sake, God’s servant Prophet TB Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), had observed thus: “The beauty of life does not depend on how happy you are but on how happy others can be because of you.”

Moreover, in his innumerable teachings on bequeathing the world a worthy legacy anchored in faith, love and service to humanity, the man of God always noted how wonderful it would be for the work of one’s hands to continue benefitting generations after we are gone.

Four years since his transition to glory, Prophet TB Joshua continues to add value to the world. Whether in the lives of thousands of ministers who were inspired by him or in those of millions of people of various faiths and races, it is clear that the imprint of his hands of care and compassion remains visible.

Today, under the leadership of Pastor Evelyn Joshua, The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV have carried on with the mission of changing lives, changing nations and changing the world. And so, after a Heaven-backed crusade in the South African city of Johannesburg on May 16, 2025, the woman of God led the way on a four-hour journey into the South African hinterland of Mahikeng, North West Province, close to the border with Botswana.

With open arms, the Mahikeng community welcomed Pastor Evelyn Joshua and her team, regaling them with entertainment by the local cultural troupe. “Thank you so much,” she told the troupe while handing them a cash gift.

Having earlier found that the people were in desperate need of water and other necessities, Pastor Evelyn Joshua, with the support of Emmanuel TV Partners, had invested in the provision of a solar-powered borehole for the people of Mahikeng. The residents were all smiles as they witnessed the prayerful commissioning of the project – all for the glory of the Lord!

But the act of charity did not stop there. Mahikeng not only had water for her thirst but also food for her belly and money for her pocket. In a process supervised by Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the chiefs of the community, a cash gift of 100,000 rands and 500 packages containing food and other household items were presented to the people. Among the items were sizeable bags of rice and flour, salt, sugar, groundnut oil, milk and other beverages, toiletries, drinking mugs, and high-quality blankets for keeping warm.

The woman of God also gave special attention to the children, presenting them with school bags and other items.

Most importantly, the leader of The Synagogue shared a message of hope with the people, encouraging them to have faith in God and live as responsible citizens.

Jesus says in Matthew 25:35, “for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink….” May we continue to be channels of love and hope, in Jesus’ name!
