The Sunday Service started with a solo operatic performance of “Our Lord’s Prayer” by young Esther, a member of The SCOAN Sunday School, who opened the worship session for The Emmanuel TV Choir. The choir requested more of God’s love and power as they led the people in promising to worship God with all of their soul. Thereafter, in the build-up to the day’s sermon, they pled for the Holy Spirit to breathe in them and in all people of faith.
In words that reminded congregants and viewers all over the world of God’s anointed servant Prophet T.B. Joshua, Evangelist Chisom began his message, entitled ‘JESUS MADE US FIT FOR GOD’ (proof text: Romans 8:35-39), by saying: “As we go into today’s message, give me your heart; I mean, pay attention to God’s Word with all your heart, because your heart is the communication point for Jesus. And as you do so, may you be blessed mightily, in Jesus’ name!”
It was a message that resonated deeply with worshippers, for they were visibly struck by the nuggets of wisdom that Evangelist Chisom had derived from God’s Word. First, he told the church in an assuring tone meant to set them free from a sense of guilt and worthlessness: “We separate ourselves from God’s presence by dwelling in our past, by focusing on our past mistakes. We are too conditioned into believing that because of our past weaknesses, our past failures, our setbacks in the past—that what God says will happen to others cannot happen to us.”
In the light of the above, the sermon focused entirely on the need for Christians not to condemn themselves when they err but to allow themselves to enjoy the grace and mercy made available by Jesus Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary. The preacher cited some Biblical examples of God’s children from the Old Dispensation (e.g. Moses and David) and the New Dispensation (e.g. Peter) who never left God’s presence despite succumbing to some human frailties. “No matter how many times you fail,” he assured the church, “God’s love never does.” He then added: “Jesus Christ discusses our future but satan discusses our past.”
On that note, Evangelist Chisom further illustrated his message with Bible references such as Luke 17:1, Luke 19:10, Philippians 3:13, John 8:3-11, 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Romans 8:1. “If you are to fit into God’s promises in your life,” he said, “you have to avoid the trap of looking back, unless it is meant to glorify God for what He has done.”
And in remarkable words worth quoting in full, Evangelist Chisom told congregants: “When satan reminds you of your past failure, remind him of his future failure. When satan reminds you of your old life, remind him that God’s Word says in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that if any man be in Christ he is a new creation….When satan reminds you of the condemnation from your past, remind him that God’s Word says in Romans 8:1 that there is therefore no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus…. When he reminds you of the guilt from your past, remind him that God’s Word says in Isaiah 6:7 that ‘the Lord has touched me; my guilt is taken away’.”
May the Lord bless His Word in the midst of our hearts. Amen.
During the Anointing Water ministration session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for many who had come with different issues such as difficulty in walking, enlarged liver, difficulty in urinating and mental disorder. For the ailing the woman of God prayed thus: “Let the garment of heaviness be removed and consumed by fire, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!” Many of the prayer recipients vomited the poisonous substances in their systems even as others received quietly from the Lord. Pastor Evelyn Joshua began the Mass Prayer session with a reading from Luke 10:17. She then asked congregants to position themselves for God’s grace and mercy and to forgive those who had wronged them. “By the authority of God, we release you from every relationship that is not of God!” she declared.
Evangelist Joseph asked congregants to pray: “I expose every power of darkness operating in my life! You darkness—by the fire of the Holy Ghost, be exposed!”
Evangelist James said: “Every spirit of infirmity that came into your life through pride, unforgiveness, immorality bitterness—command it out right now!” He also asked congregants to pray: “You sickness, disease, infirmity tormenting my life–I command you out!”
Evangelist Chisom asked congregants to pray: “Whatever satan has stolen from me—in my career, business—be restored, in the name of Jesus!” He also prayed: “Every closed door to breakthrough—be opened!”
In a Mass Prayer clip, Prophet T.B. Joshua urged congregants to pray: “Every spirit that kills, destroys—command it out!” He also prayed: “I speak to every affliction in your blood, bone, kidney, liver—in the name of Jesus, I command it to leave you!”

Because of series of accidents, Mary had developed the problem of difficulty in walking in the last 12 years. Also, because of her age, she had intense osteoarthritis that made her unable to do very few things by herself. One night, she had a dream in which Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for her in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, touching the specific place where she was feeling pain. To Mary, this meant that her healing had already happened spiritually. Two weeks ago, she came to church and received ministration of the New Anointing Water by Pastor Evelyn Joshua. “I felt a cool sensation all over my body,” she said. Since then, she can do all she had been unable to do in the last 12 years, including squatting, bending and wearing full shoes. She advised people to move close to God.
Delivered From Stubborn Spirit Husband!
It was 15 years ago when Florence first noticed that a spirit husband was running her life, constantly trying to pleasure her during the night. Subsequently, she became filled with the spirit of anger, causing her serious problems in her social life. Even worse, the spirit husband made it impossible for her to have stable relationships. Man after man left her after being threatened by the spirit husband, who constantly made her appear like a completely different person to the person they had initially met. When she managed to fall pregnant in a third relationship, the evil spirit came in the form of a woman in the dream and caused her a miscarriage. Given all these issues, she became depressed, perpetually angry and troubled by nightmares. To the glory of God, however, Florence received her deliverance during the ministration of the New Anointing Water. On that occasion, the evil spirit in her had manifested vigorously before fleeing forever. Today, she can feel the presence of God in her life as a new creature. “Nobody is above deliverance,” Florence said as she advised people to take their case to God in prayer.
Tears Of Joy As Menstruation Is Restored After Seven Years!
For Chimezie, a Lagos resident, God manifested Himself by restoring her menstruation that had ceased for the last seven years. Having got married in 2009, Chimezie had found that she could not fall pregnant as her menses were irregular, mostly coming twice a month. Later, the menses stopped altogether. In the search for a solution, she saw a countless number of doctors, who eventually became tired of her. “What else do you want us to do?” they would ask in frustration. One day, her father advised her to visit The SCOAN. In reluctant obedience, Chimezie became a SCOAN Partner sometime in the first part of 2021, trying to build her faith as she followed Emmanuel TV online. Encouraged to visit the church physically by her father, she attended the Sunday Service of two weeks ago. There, she received ministration of the New Anointing Water. To the glory of God Almighty, by the following morning when she went to use the restroom, she found that her menses had been restored by divine power. Unable to believe the evidence before her very eyes, Chimezie started running around the house, not caring that she was naked. Her husband finally kept her in check and she told him that God had finally put an end to her shame. “My menses! My menses! My menses!” she screamed. Testifying last Sunday, Chimezie said she had been expecting to manifest during the ministration, like others. However, as God works in mysterious ways, she had thought nothing had happened to her when in fact God had already touched her, hence the restoration of her menses after seven years of reproach. With tears of joy streaming down her eyes, she thanked God for His awesomeness even as she advised people to trust in His power. “I shall be coming for another testimony,” she declared, referring to her petition for the fruit of the womb.
