“Forgive Me.” That was the simple title of the sermon for the Sunday Service of June 8, 2025. From all over the world, the people had gathered to worship and to honour the memory of Prophet TB Joshua, who transited to the plane of glory on June 5, 2021. Led by the vibrant SCOAN Choir, congregants started the worship session on a mellow note, after opening the day with prayers of gratitude and forgiveness. They besought the Spirit: “O Holy Spirit, Take More Of Me!”

Like the Psalmist, they recalled their days of trouble, saying, “If the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us, they would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us; the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away” (Psalm 124:1-4). And so, they expressed the joy in their hearts, for the Lord had more than proved Himself in their lives. They announced their surrender to the Creator of all flesh: “My Life Is Not My Own/To You I Belong/ I Give Myself To You/I Give Myself Away So You Can Use Me.”

Forgiveness Is Transactional

“Forgiveness is transactional,” Evangelist Ope declared emphatically in his message entitled “Forgive Me”. His proof texts came from Ephesians 4:31-32 and Colossians 3:13. He also referred the people to Matthew 6:14-15, Matthew 18:23-35, Mark 11:25 and Psalm 133:1. In the bluntly delivered message, he explained that we all offend one another, hence the need to forgive one another. Forgiveness is required of us all, he said, as we all are both perpetrators and victims of hurt.

On why forgiveness is transactional, Evangelist Ope noted that those who receive forgiveness are obliged to release forgiveness as well. Accordingly, the servant mentioned in Matthew 18:23-35 ended up getting punished for not forgiving a debtor even though he himself had previously had his own debt forgiven. To avoid being trapped in the torture chamber of unforgiveness, therefore, Evangelist Ope noted, believers are urged not to hold grudges so that they will not end up working hard for nothing.

The preacher also stated that since we need one another to succeed, it is imperative to embrace forgiveness. “No one has a perfect character,” he said. He equally made it clear that forgiveness is not a chance for manipulation or a license to persist in doing evil. Quite importantly, he observed, forgiveness does not obviate consequences or imply restoration. As such, he warned, we should be careful about our present actions.

Evangelist Ope closed with the following words: “When we forgive our fellow man, God is pleased because that makes us like unto HIM. When we do not forgive our fellow man, satan is pleased because that makes us like unto him…. As people of God, we must learn to forgive ourselves because if we do not learn to forgive ourselves, we will destroy ourselves.”

Their Spirits Were Renewed

“Give Christ praise,” said Pastor Evelyn Joshua on joining the people for the Prayer Line ministration.

She prayed: “We thank You for the grace to be called Your own. Father, we thank You for Your goodness and mercy. Thank You for Your amazing power that works in our lives. Almighty God, we thank You for giving us hope in hopeless times. Thank You for the victory, for the freedom that comes with a price that You paid.

Father Lord, we have come to say thank You this morning for all the way long. You have been so faithful, you have been so good, so wonderful. Father, accept our thanks, in the name of Jesus Christ. We have also come for You to help us to focus on You alone. Father, let our eyes be set on You and on You alone. Renew our spirits, fill us with Your love, power, peace, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

“Let My Life Be Yours To Order”

Regarding the fourth anniversary of Prophet TB Joshua’s transition, Pastor Evelyn Joshua expressed her gratitude to congregants. “Thank you for loving Prophet TB Joshua so dearly, thank you for your words of encouragement, thank you for your prayers for his household and this great commission,” she said to them. She then prayed, “May God Almighty continue to be with you all, in the name of Jesus Christ.”

Moving on, the woman of God cited Romans 8:37-39 and said: “Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, or any power … will be able to separate you from the love of God through Christ Jesus.” She went on, “No matter what happens, God’s love is constant. Let us continue to seek the wisdom that comes from above.”

Finally, she charged the people to pray: “Lord, let my life be yours to order.”

The Age Of Miracles Has Not Passed

With trust in the Blood of Jesus Christ, hundreds came from across the world with burdens of the body, troubles of the mind and perturbations of the spirit. They were assured of the healing and deliverance power of Jesus Christ as evidenced in the Word and the Spirit.

No longer was there place for difficulty in breathing, swollen belly, chronic waist pain, alcohol addiction, enlarged prostate, piles, breast lumps, and asthma.

Bearing blessed gifts in their wombs, different women came to place themselves under the shadow of the Almighty. They were certain of God’s promise in Exodus 23:26 – “And none will miscarry or be barren in your land. I will give you a full life span.”

Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists continued the ministration of prayers of healing and deliverance for the ultimate salvation of souls. Among the other cases that received Heaven’s attention were stooling of blood, bleeding, prostate cancer, anal fistula, bladder cancer, kidney stones, face injury, fibroids, mental disorder, leg ulcers, and cervical cancer.

In the Laying of Hands session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua and The SCOAN Evangelists stood on the believer’s authority to command freedom upon the people. As Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave.”

God’s children also basked in His glory at the Sunday School and Nursing Mothers’ sections.

“If the Son sets you free, You will be free indeed,” the Bible says in John 8:36. That was the sweet story of those who enjoyed the grace of the One-On-One session as bondage gave way to freedom. Indeed, the name of Jesus speaks louder than any ancestral curse, affliction or evil attack.

Life Restored To All That Was Withered

“It takes God’s ability and your genuine willingness to receive that which you are asking for,” Evangelist James reminded congregants at the start of the Mass Prayer session. He asked them to say, “Lord Jesus, touch my case today. Take me from where I am to where You want me to be.”

Evangelist James asked the church to pray: “Every familiar spirit, every ancestral spirit, every family idol tormenting my life, tormenting my family – Out, by the Fire of the Holy Ghost!”

Next, Evangelist Joseph urged congregants to decree: “You demon, familiar spirit, spirit of wickedness tormenting me – I declare you wanted. Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”

At his turn, Evangelist Ope charged the people to pray: “Every sickness, every disease in my body, in my blood, in my organs, any poison in my body – anywhere you are: Out!”

Evangelist Chisom asked the people to : “Every spirit of rising and falling in my business, in my career – anywhere you are: Out!”

On taking over the session, Pastor Evelyn Joshua declared: “Every limitation in your life – bow to the authority in the name Jesus Christ! All that has stopped moving in your life – continue to move, in the name of Jesus! Receive your breakthrough, your restoration, in the name of Jesus! All that has withered in your life – begin to receive life, in the name of Jesus! Every withered leg, every withered hand – continue to receive freedom, in the name of Jesus Christ!”

The woman of God continued to pray: “Everything that identifies you for evil attacks – be broken today, in the name of Jesus! May your business, children, marriage – be restored, in the name of Jesus!”

In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua decreed: “Every familiar spirit, every hindrance – be caged, in the name of Jesus! You obstacle, you barrier in my way, you obstacle in my career, you barrier in my marriage – be caged! Be liberated, in the name of Jesus! I speak to your career, health: Be restored, in the name of Jesus! Breakthrough in your career, family, business!”

As Toe Ulcer Vanishes, Modestus Testifies To God’s Power

On July 21, 2024, 52-year-old Modestus witnessed something uncommon as he sat for prayer in The SCOAN. A ghastly bike accident had left a toe with a huge gash, almost cutting it off. Modestus went to the clinic and got treatment. “But the toe refused to heal,” he told the church on June 8, 2025. After his initial time at the clinic, the Nigerian had to return to a bigger hospital in his Benin Republic base, where he was admitted for three weeks. Because the toe wasn’t getting better, Modestus was detained by the doctors, who suggested that the foot might be amputated if it continued to resist treatment.

Against doctors’ advice, Modestus left the hospital. But he knew that he wasn’t just being headstrong and foolish. “I wanted to take my case to God,” he said. And so, on the day in question, he had presented himself before Jesus Christ and had received something uncommon as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered prayers of healing. “I was given the Anointing Water and started ministering it prayerfully at home,” he disclosed. Within a month, the toe ulcer dried up. “Jesus Christ is still performing miracles; trust in Him,” he advised others.

Tony Walks Again!

May 11, 2025 was the day Tony received the incredible. One morning, he had found himself unable to move. Immediately, his wife had swung into action, calling for help in moving him to hospital. Doctors diagnosed him with spinal cord issues that had led to partial paralysis. “I had to devote time to caring for him,” said his barrister wife on June 8, 2025. On the day he received prayer, Tony had to be driven to the church entrance, where Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for him in the name that is above all names: Jesus Christ. After the prayer, Tony brought himself out of the vehicle and took gingerly steps for the glory of the Lord. Since then, he has been walking freely. He advised others to trust in God as well.

With God, Herbie Overcomes 28 Years Of Addiction

Herbie, a Liberian living in Germany, testified about the deliverance he received through the medium of the Anointing Water. He had been under the spell of vices such as masturbation and shisha smoking. Realising that he couldn’t help himself, Herbie had made his way to The SCOAN for the Living Water Service in 2023. After presenting his case to the Lord in humility, Herbie returned home and found that his addictions had vanished – for the glory of the Lord.

In another testimony, Herbie had called The Emmanuel TV Prayer Line over his grandson, who had fallen into a coma after a surgery. “Your grandson won’t die,” an evangelist had assured him. He later asked the boy’s mother to also call the Prayer Line. “She was asked to put the phone to the desperately sick boy’s ear,” said Herbie. Afterwards, the boy got off the breathing machine on which he had been relying – to the amazement of doctors. He is now in great health and has returned to sporting activities. Herbie advised others to put their trust in God.
