WALK IN THE LIGHT

1 John 1:7 says, “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

Our Father is the Father of Light. He is Light and He is in the light. Since He is in the light, we are commanded to walk in the light. The Word of God is Light; therefore, a believer is one who walks in the light. Do you walk in the light of God’s Word? Do you walk in joy, love, peace and comfort? When you walk in the light, you will not walk in difficulty, sickness, or poverty. When we walk in the light, we complain no more, we worry no more, and we fear no more.

One cannot walk in the light when the Word does not prevail in one’s life. Has the Word of God prevailed over common sense and thought processes in your life? Or are you still trying to figure God out with your natural mind? As long as you walk in your situation, you are walking in darkness. Many believers live as common men. You begin to live as a common man when your testimony is that of difficulty and lack. Jesus has no place in a life that is not dominated by the Word. The Word dominating you is the Lordship of Christ in you. Let us be conscious of Christ’s presence in all that we do, and by faith, set the Lord before us. See Him who is invisible and have Him present in our minds as we fight the battle against the senses, knowing that when we walk in the light, God looks at us as if we had never sinned.

Prayer: O Holy Spirit, help me to walk in the light, in Jesus’ name! Amen!
