Everyone faces temptation. Being born again doesn’t mean you won’t make mistakes—Christians can fall. But the privilege of being born again is that you have a relationship with God. When you do wrong, run to Him—He will forgive you, restore you, and help you do better.

The privilege of being born again

Proof Text: Romans 3:10
“As it is written: There is none righteous, no, not one.”

Everyone has been tempted. Being born again does not mean you cannot make mistakes. Christians can fall, Christians can fail. The difference between you and others is that you have a relationship with God. When you misbehave, you can immediately run to Him and say, “Lord Jesus, this is what I have done. Help me.” And He will forgive you, restore you, and strengthen you not to repeat the same mistake.

We will continue to face issues that challenge and even violate our conscience. Temptations will come. Corruption, wrongdoing and injustice surround us daily. We cannot close our eyes to what is happening around us. But, as believers, we are not without help.

The Bible says in Romans 3:10 that no one is righteous on their own. We all face the temptation to do wrong. However, there is a way — Jesus Christ. Through Him, you receive courage, strength and conviction to stand your ground and say, “No, I will not do this.” That courage comes only through Christ.

When you give your life to Jesus and make Him your Lord—your CEO in all you do—something changes. You begin to think differently. You dream differently. You develop a sensitivity you never had before. You are no longer directed by the influence of others but by your Heavenly Father.

Being born again is not just by word of mouth. You don’t need to announce it—your life will reveal it. Broken things become useful in God’s hands. No matter your past, no matter your mistakes, God can transform you.

How do you know you are born again?

You know you are born again when you have the privilege of letting the Creator assist you in all you do. Before you speak, you ask Him. Before you act, you seek His guidance. You and Christ are cooperating. You are no longer living independently—you are living in partnership with your Creator.

When you are born again, your pain does not destroy you. Instead, it prepares you for extraordinary service. Sickness, poverty, challenges—none of these mean God has abandoned you. Rather, they can deepen your desire to serve Him. The more the trial, the more you draw closer to God.

Temptation may come but if every temptation drives you nearer to God instead of away from Him, then the enemy has already lost. The highest motive for serving God is the desire to please Him.

When you are truly born again, you are not controlled by the majority or by popular opinion. Christ becomes your majority. The dividend of being born again is this: the Creator of heaven and earth begins to assist you in all you do. You walk freely, live freely and stand boldly because He is with you.

So ask yourself, “Am I truly born again?”

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for the privilege of being born again. Forgive me for the times I relied on myself instead of cooperating with You. Strengthen my desire and determination to please You alone. Let Your will be done in my life, my home, my career, and all I do. Amen.
