The life we live is what ushers us into the name of Jesus — a life that is in line with God’s Word. When you wake up in the morning, you need direction. Direction can come only from a heart in which God dwells — that is, from the spirit.
However, when many people wake up, they only bother about what comes next and give directions to themselves. This is the cause of many challenges in the world: making up our own directions or directing ourselves, whereas God alone should be our Director. Indeed, God’s direction is what we need now and always. Today’s solution may not be appropriate for tomorrow’s problem.
As we all know, so much is happening around us. Do not listen to your situation and then act out of character. Instead, allow God’s Word to channel your way, and never allow your challenges to dictate your direction.
You see those challenges? Leave them for God! Remember that blessings attract challenges. When blessings come without challenges, you may not be able to manage them well. Challenges help us grow stronger and preserve us for God.
Your spirit needs to be renewed. Many may believe they already have everything; however, something is usually lacking — and that is the renewal of the spirit. Many people are financially buoyant but spiritually weak. We are becoming more prosperous materially than spiritually, and that is the cause of many complaints. Even if you have money now, it cannot take away your nightmares, isolation, or depression.
In John 16:33, Jesus says:
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
Surely, in this world there will be tribulations, sickness, disease, poverty, hardship, and many things that can disturb your peace. Jesus says to cheer up and put it all behind you. Do not let your challenges overshadow you.
People of God, our spirit must be renewed through meditating on the Word, constantly turning it over in our hearts until we are filled with it. You must prosper spiritually first, because that is where the ability and strength of God lie.
You may believe there is nothing in this world that you have not enjoyed. However, have you truly enjoyed a relationship with God? If you achieve this, it will positively affect everyone around you. It is time for you to know God as children know their father — stop imagining it. Someone may tell you, “Jesus said this,” but it is time for you to hear Him for yourself.
Our relationship with God should take priority, for Heaven is the reward. What is that thing you are doing for which you expect a reward? Remember that God is the Rewarder. What are you planting? Whatever you plant here, you will reap its reward there.
The money you have and the possessions you seek can never fully satisfy you, because that is the nature of humankind. But in your relationship with God, there is a special place for you.
The life we live is what moves us into Jesus’ name in line with God’s Word, and it also prompts us to call upon the name of Jesus. If you truly want to advance in your spiritual life, you must begin with isolation — creating time for yourself to meet with God and talk with Him. Everything great starts small. You must cultivate the habit of meeting with God.
People of God, once you begin this according to God’s Word, the door you have been knocking on will open. Everything starts outside reality, but when it begins with truth and faith, it enters reality. Brethren, remember: better is not good enough; the best is yet to come!
Prayer
O Holy Spirit, continue to reveal Yourself to me and show me the direction to Your throne, in Jesus Christ’s name.
