John 14:6 says, “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.’”

In a world filled with confusion, brokenness and uncertainty, many are searching for purpose, peace and a reason to live. But Jesus tells us, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” He did not say, “I will show you the way” or “I will teach you the way.” He boldly declared that He is the Way. This means that outside of Christ, there is no direction, no lasting truth and no real life.

Christ died that we might receive life and life in abundance. He resurrected and is before God’s Throne, interceding for us. This life that Christ offers is eternal and open to all. Christ became a Link for us, the Way through which we reach God, our heavenly Father.

This life offered to us saves us from sin, which incurs God’s wrath and puts us in right standing with God.

We receive this life by accepting Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour, that is, by believing and confessing Him to be Lord over our lives.

Believing in Jesus Christ is trusting Him and confessing is speaking boldly of Him whom you trust. The moment you trust Jesus as the One who gives life in abundance, eternal life is yours.

As Christians, we live because He lives and are free because of this life He gave us. Therefore, let us serve Him wholeheartedly with this life He has given to us.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, I believe you are the Way, the Truth, and the Life. I accept Your life and promise to use this life You offered to serve You. Amen!
