Matthew 24:42 says, “Therefore keep watch because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.”
Are you prepared for the return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ? As believers, we are called to live in a constant state of readiness—ever watchful for the moment when He will come again.
Preparedness is not just about anticipating a future event; it’s about aligning our hearts and minds with the will of God every single day. In a world filled with distractions and material temptations, it’s easy to lose sight of our ultimate goal. Yet we must remember: our time on earth is temporary, and our true home lies beyond what we can see.
Consider the uncertainty surrounding the return of our Lord. The Bible urges us to live in vigilance and expectation, always prepared for His glorious coming. Revelation 22:11–13, 20 reminds us of the urgency of living with eternity in mind.
If Jesus were to return today, would you be ready to meet Him?
Each day, we must live intentionally—ensuring that our actions align with the pursuit of God’s Kingdom. Reflect on your life and ask yourself: Am I living in a way that secures my place in eternity? Our choices today shape our tomorrow. What will Jesus find you doing when He returns? The lives we live now will determine our judgment and eternal destiny.
As Christians, let us live each day with purpose, knowing that our actions carry eternal weight. Colossians 3:2 exhorts us: “Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” By fixing our gaze on the eternal, we prepare our hearts for the glorious return of our Saviour.
May we encourage one another to stay faithful, to seek God’s will, and to be ever ready for the day we meet Him face to face.
