When he transited to glory on Saturday, June 5, 2021, Prophet TB Joshua was only a week shy of his 58th birthday. Two years and a week since then, the man of God posthumously reached the sexagenarian milestone. For this momentous occasion, his loving and loyal wife, who leads The SCOAN in continuation of God’s awesome work, spared no effort in putting together activities for marking the day.

From across the world hundreds of visitors and guests had flown into Nigeria and converged on The SCOAN to participate in the series of activities to celebrate the life and legacy of a phenomenal personality who impacted – and continues to impact – the lives of millions all over the world. First was the commemorative Sunday Service of June 4 that fell on the eve of God’s servant’s departure from this earthly plane. Later that day, people gathered at The SCOAN Prayer Mountain for a candlelight service where they took a special walk of faith around the premises where Prophet TB Joshua founded The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations in 1989 and which he converted to a unique prayer retreat that accords with nature.

The following Sunday, June 11, was the eve of Prophet TB Joshua’s 60th birthday, and Pastor Evelyn Joshua used the opportunity of her sermon to speak on the place of God’s grace in the lives of those who admit their unworthiness before the Throne Of Grace. She told congregants that their past, no matter how sordid, was over based on God’s unmerited grace.

The birthday proper happened on Monday, June 12, with Pastor Christoph saying the opening prayer and Pastor Nicki Vey giving the welcome remarks. As it was an event meant to worship God for His grace upon the ministry of Prophet TB Joshua, there were several song, dance and dramatic ministrations to praise the name of the Lord.

Esther of The SCOAN Sunday School performed in operatic format alongside the Classical Thanksgiving Ministration Group and Uche Aghulor. “Merciful Lord,” they sang; “Abba Father!” they also sang.

The SCOAN Choir performed a few times on the day, with some of their songs coming from the repertoire of Prophet TB Joshua himself. The renditions included a special birthday song for the prophet as well as “The Best Is Yet To Come” and “Break The Chains”.

A number of guest gospel artistes also performed, such as Paul Ayeni and the Divine Music Band led by Johnson Adumadeyin, among others.

To show her appreciation, Pastor Evelyn Joshua joined the people as they danced for the glory of God.

For the dramatic presentations, there were offerings by The SCOAN Children, The SCOAN Youths and The SCOAN Choir. The various presentations illustrated different aspects of the impact of God’s power on the ministry of Prophet TB Joshua. “Choose faith over fear,” the children suggested.

Expectedly, there were birthday wishes from many of the guests, among whom were Tee Mac Omatsola, Pastor Joshua Iginla, Bishop Steven Ogedengbe, Prophet Samuel, Daniel Siwale from Zambia, family friends and friends of the ministry as well as representatives of the Islamic Organisation of Nigeria. One award-winning Nigerian broadcaster said, “Prophet TB Joshua prepared me for success in broadcasting.”

For the cutting of the birthday cake, Promise and Heart Joshua, alongside The SCOAN Evangelists and people from different countries, spelt the name J-E-S-U-S C-H-R-I-S-T!

On behalf of The SCOAN Evangelists, Evangelist Chisom thanked the people for their support, just before Promise Joshua gave the official vote of thanks.

Finally, Pastor Samuel Raboteng from South Africa said the closing prayer.

It Couldn’t End Without An Act Of Charity!

In carrying on the legacy of giving, Pastor Evelyn Joshua presented a commercial bus to a differently able man to aid his and his family’s sustenance. Thank You, Jesus!
