A call for prayer is a call for communion with God. How often do you pray? How well do you pray? How do you tell that you are praying as God wants you to pray? These are some of the issues addressed in the sermon at The Synagogue on June 29, 2025. It was a day to the end of the first half of the forward-looking year. As such, for over an hour, congregants sang the praise of Abba Father, beseeching Him to send His Holy Ghost into their midst.
Among the songs for the worship session were compositions by Prophet TB Joshua, including “Reflect on God’s Mercies In Your Life”, a song which urges the people thus: “Let All You Do For Him/Bring Him Glory!” As the atmosphere became charged with divine presence, manifestations happened, thus preparing the way for healing, deliverance and breakthrough for the ultimate salvation of souls.
Among other references, Evangelist Joseph read from Philippians 4:6-7, 1 Thessalonians 5:17, Matthew 24:41 and Luke 18:1 as he spoke on “A Call For Prayer”. Starting with a song, he described prayer as a major secret that helped ancient fathers of faith to thrive and make a massive impact on their generation. Noting that “a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian,” he cited the example of Paul, who subdued his unrelenting adversaries only with persistent prayer.
The evangelist cautioned against feeding the flesh while ignoring the spirit, “the engine that carries the body.” According to him, the believer who fails to pray will end up bearing needless pain. He noted that, as Prophet TB Joshua did, believers have a duty to meditate day and night in prayer instead of complaining about situations. Accordingly, he charged the congregation to return to their rusty sword of prayer and sharpen it.
Quite importantly, Evangelist Joseph encouraged believers to seek God’s mind on how and what to pray for, ensuring that all insincere motives are eliminated. “You cannot deceive God,” he warned. He noted that it was necessary to avoid fighting the wrong battle and to pray with full concentration on God. Finally, he said to the church: “Pray; if not, satan will play with your destiny.”
Set Free From Every Entanglement
“Let’s clap for Jesus,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua told the people on joining them for the Prayer Line session.
She prayed: “Father Lord, we bless Your Holy name. We thank You for the gift of life. Almighty God, we thank You for whom You are. We ask You to give us the strength, give us the confidence, the power to become the person You have created us to be. Lord God Almighty, we trust You, but we ask You to help us to trust You the more as we bring our challenges, troubles, shame, yoke and burden before You, knowing You are the God of possibilities.
The great I Am That I Am, King of Glory, Father, work Your miracle in our hearts and lives today, in the name of Jesus Christ. Lord God, work Your miracle in our hearts and lives, in the name of Jesus. Set us free from every entanglement that wants to enslave us, that wants to hold us back in bondage, in the name of Jesus Christ. Father, see to all that concerns us as we sing and worship You today. In Jesus Christ’s name we pray.”
“Testimony is vital,” the woman of God said to the people as she encouraged them on the importance of acknowledging God’s work in their lives.
As the anointing fell on them, those at the Prayer Line received freedom from difficulty in walking, difficulty in breathing, chronic headache, drug addiction, asthma, autism, cervical cancer, enlarged prostate, and inguinal hernia.
Some of the others who gathered for prayer were pregnant women seeking God’s mercy and compassion as their days of delivery approached. There were also women with bleeding, fibroids and other issues. Following a touch backed by the Throne of Grace, each case received its definitive solution.
Furthermore, the Master Surgeon, working through the faculties of His servant, settled the cases of those suffering from epilepsy and seizures, brain tumour, mental disorder, swollen belly, swollen scrotum, growth in the buttocks, and leg ulcers.
And during the One-On-One session, every stubborn form of darkness was confronted and defeated. As the evangelists ministered in the power of the Holy Spirit, every hidden torment, every demonic affliction and every generational curse was terminated!
They Did Not Pray In Vain
“Tell God you don’t want to pray in vain,” Pastor Evelyn Joshua said to congregants at the start of the Mass Prayer ministration. She also asked them to plead: “Come into my life and put an end to my bad habits, O Lord. Put an end to my past life of struggling.”
The woman of God prayed: “Everything that is troubling your heart, giving you nightmares, causing you confusion – may you receive rest from it, in the name of Jesus! Every sickness, every affliction – receive rest from it, in the name of Jesus Christ! Receive rest from your challenges today, in the name of Jesus!
Everything holding you in bondage – be freed, in the name of Jesus! All that is limiting your divine destiny – receive rest from it, in the name of Jesus! Be healed in your body, spirit, soul! Be blessed as you come in! Be blessed as you go out, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
To viewers all over the world, Pastor Evelyn Joshua said: “Fear of rejection, fear of failure – begin to command it out, in the name of Jesus!”
She prayed on: “Receive your freedom – freedom from fear, from guilt. Every author of destruction in your father’s house – we command it to be broken right now, in the name of Jesus! Freedom in your marriage, your career, your business, in the lives of your children, in the name of Jesus!”
Evangelist Joseph decreed: “All familiar spirits, demons, unclean spirits operating in your life, causing you setback – Out, by the fire of the Holy Ghost!”
“You spirit of oppression, depression, frustration operating in my life – anywhere you are: Out!” Evangelist Ope told the people to declare.
Evangelist Chisom: “You spirit, anywhere you are operating in my body, causing me disease – I command you: Out, in the name of Jesus!”
Taking over, Evangelist James prayed: “You spirit of limitation, you spirit of crisis, spirit of setback operating in my life, in my family – I command you out, in the name of Jesus!”
In a Mass Prayer video, Prophet TB Joshua declared: “I command that affliction out, in the name of Jesus! Whatever it is, I flush it out, in the name of Jesus! Be healed, in the name of Jesus! You affliction, you infirmity – leave my people, in the name of Jesus!”

“The Spirit of Boldness Has Taken Me Over,” Says Man Freed From Household Demons
“I want to use him to manifest my power. I operate like a good man but I have hidden something inside him.” That was part of the confession made by the demons in Alfred during the service of June 22, 2025. A week later, the Beninese based in Liberia testified about his deliverance from ancestral demons on both sides of his family. Alfred’s birth was a special one. “According to my mother, I spent 15 months in the womb and only came out after the intervention of household powers,” Alfred told the church. And so, for the rest of his life, Alfred was supposed to be beholden to the strange powers. “Those demons influenced me to act differently, making me to avoid school until my father forced me to learn carpentry,” Alfred explained.
Along the line, he suffered an accident that forced him out of work for over a year. He also got into a relationship that produced three children. “I started clubbing and drinking,” he confessed. His mother then stepped in to try and protect him with the help of witch doctors. But the original demons in charge of Alfred’s life were angry about that intervention, so they asked him in a dream to warn his mother to desist or they would kill her. “I quickly called my mother and asked her not to go to a burial she had been planning to attend,” he said. In the end, Alfred’s mother went to the burial. “She died on the day of that burial,” Alfred said in tears.
From then on, Alfred’s life became truly miserable, as he kept working hard without anything to show for it. A friend based in Liberia then told him about Emmanuel TV. Alfred started to follow the messages on the channel. Sensing that Alfred’s deliverance was coming, the household demons intensified their malice against him, tormenting him with nightmares and dreams about snakes. “Eventually I gained victory over the snake both in the dream and physically, after having had a dream encounter with Prophet TB Joshua,” he continued.
And that was why he had come to The Arena Of Liberty on June 22 where he received his deliverance. “I was tied down before, but now I have been freed and can sense my freedom in every way,” Alfred declared. He added, “The spirit of boldness has taken me over.” He advised others to take their issues only to Jesus Christ. “Your deliverance is on the way,” he assured them.
“God Has Given Me Peace,” Says Woman Freed From Spirit Husband
Chintua grew up an angry child who was difficult to manage. “I used to fall ill all the time,” she recalled on June 29, 2025, at the start of her testimony. She then gravitated towards friends, given that she had become a source of pain to her family members. But that move didn’t change things. Chintua then left the country. “I got engaged there,” she said, “but things soon took a nosedive in the relationship until it broke up.” Chintua started to have dreams in which she kept seeing a strange man. It was a spirit husband who troubled her life with various illnesses, making it difficult for her to find a partner.
Tired of her situation, and abandoned by her most recent fiancé, Chintua turned to God. While watching Emmanuel TV one day, she had felt the power of God and vomited the poisonous substances in her system. Then the nightmares vanished. “But I backslid later,” she admitted, “and the nightmares and giant men returned to my life.” Realising that she had erred, Chintua had made her way to The SCOAN for deliverance – and the rest is history! Since then, she has had dreams confirming her victory. She advised others to know God. “God has given me peace,” she concluded.
This Little Boy Would Have Lost His Legs But God Said No!
On April 7, 2024, little Samuel received prayer over hot water burns, an incident that had occurred on 13 December 2023 when the two-year-old’s mother cooked in the kitchen. “While we were taking off his jeans trousers that day, Samuel’s skin peeled off,” his father narrated on June 29, 2025. He told of how skin grafting had failed in the boy’s case, leading to a rotting of the flesh. “We moved to another hospital, where we spent another two weeks without getting any results. By this time the boy’s legs had virtually stiffened.
And so, Samuel’s parents moved him to another hospital, where they spent yet more time without seeing any improvement. “People were already telling us it was a hopeless situation,” Samuel’s father said. After the prayer, the family went home with the Anointing Water. Right from the minute of prayer, Samuel had started to feel better. “The first sign of his improvement is that he asked for food,” Samuel’s father said. In a matter of days, Samuel asked for his bandage to be removed. Thereafter, he resumed playing with his mates and is now back to school. Samuel’s father advised people to stick with God.
Esther Walks Freely Again!
“Thank You, Jesus – no more pain!” exclaimed 62-year-old Esther after receiving prayer on June 22, 2025. “I had woken up one day with muscle spasms that made it difficult for me to walk,” she told the church on June 29. She had placed her faith in God and reached out to the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line team. “I felt relief,” she said, “and decided to make my way to the Prayer Line.” On getting up, Esther had broken into shouts of praise. Since then, she has been walking freely for the glory of God. “Run to Jesus,” she advised others.
Catherine Defeats Spirit Of Death
“God has delivered me from the spirit of death,” said Catherine as she started her testimony on June 29, 2025. She had tripped and fallen inside the home. “I thought it was a minor issue,” she said, “but the pain kept increasing over the next few days.” She was unable to do many things for herself. Along the line, an evil woman appeared in her dream, threatening to take her life. However, having run to the presence of the Lord in the Arena of Liberty on June 22, Catherine defeated the evil woman. Today she walks without any pain. “Our God is a big God,” she reminded others. Her husband confirmed the testimony, saying, “The best is yet to come.”
Freed From Bondage Of Drug Addiction
Since his secondary school days, Segun had been involved in drug use, leading to chronic addiction. He was a problem both to himself and his family. The addiction was such that Segun could ‘blow’ as much as two million naira in one clubbing night. And anytime he didn’t get money to feed his bad habit, Segun would turn violent. “Owing to my addiction issues, I got deported from the country I travelled to,” he disclosed. He added, “I also had anger issues.”
All of that situation had changed on June 22, however, after Segun received a touch backed by Jesus Christ. With his urge for drinking, smoking and drug use gone, Segun is now a calm person. He advised others to shun drug abuse and embrace God. His cousin Adewale confirmed the transformation, even as he urged others to maintain their blessings.
The Touch That Changed Vera’s Life!
Vera, a 35-year-old, had been addicted to alcohol and smoking for decades. It had all started in her teenage years, when she was persuaded to leave the village for the city. “Someone encouraged me to go into prostitution,” she said, explaining that she had initially not wanted to be part of it all. To be able to perform better in her chosen trade, Vera had taken to drugs. “However, I couldn’t account for the money I was making from the trade,” she admitted.
After some time, Vera got tired of trading her body for money. As God would have it, she stumbled on Emmanuel TV. “I enquired about how to get to the church,” she said. And on May 25, 2025, Vera received the touch that changed her life! “I didn’t know that something had changed in me until much later in the day,” she told the church. “I am now a new creature,” she declared. She advised others, “Beware of bad friends; keep your focus on God.”
Anointing Frees Christiana From Affliction
Alongside her husband, Christiana testified about her deliverance from household demons that had started attacking her after a trip to the village. “Those demons attacked me in the dream through some animals,” she told the church on June 29, 2025. From then on, Christiana began to experience different illnesses. “The doctors couldn’t help me,” she said, noting that she suffered from insomnia, high sugar levels and high blood pressure. Since receiving the touch of freedom and healing, Christiana has returned to vitality, now doing all that she stopped doing since the onset of her ill health. “Run to God,” she advised others. Her husband, Austin, confirmed the change and thanked God for restoring balance in the family. “Nothing is impossible for God,” he stated.
Roseline Regains Her Vitality!
In 2015, following an accident, Roseline had been feeling pain in one of her legs. Despite getting extensive medical treatment, she didn’t get better. “I was given a knee bracelet but didn’t feel any real relief,” she told the church on June 29, 2025. As a person of faith, however, she had kept hoping in God.
“I had a dream in which Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed for me,” she said. Subsequently, in real life, Roseline received prayer as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministered. “Have faith in God,” she urged others while demonstrating her healing. Her daughter Sarah also thanked God for the healing. “Anything you need, God will do it for you,” Sarah told the church.
Lilian’s Injury Obeys God’s Voice
On March 31, 2024, Lilian had sat for prayer over a grievous injury from an accident. She had been on the verge of losing her ability to walk. But she had quickly run to God for help. Following a touch by Pastor Evelyn Joshua, Lilian felt relief surge though her body and from then on made her way to full recovery. She advised others to trust in God.
