The SCOAN Sunday Service: The SCOAN Choir

The SCOAN Sunday Service of August 16, 2026, was a glorious gathering of worshippers from Nigeria and around the world, united in worship, prayer and expectation of God’s intervention.

From the opening moments, the congregation was reminded that every day is a gift from God and that His children have a responsibility to open each day with prayer and thanksgiving.

The service was characterised by heartfelt worship, powerful testimonies of healing and deliverance, a challenging message on obedience to God’s Word and fervent prayers for healing, freedom and breakthrough.

Family Idol Neutralised By The Blood Of Jesus

Here is her testimony:

At the age of 12, Mary was told by her father that her family worshipped snakes, a tradition that had been transferred from generation to generation. Her father also visited spiritualists in search of protection for the family. Following her initiation into the snake-worshipping cult, Mary began experiencing setbacks. She was overtaken by anger and suffered nightmares involving strange men. Many of her relationships also ended in crisis, while she experienced unexplained rejection.

Concerned about the negative turn of events in the family, her father sent her to The SCOAN, where she received the Anointing Water. After returning home and ministering it, changes began to occur. Her father, who had been drinking and smoking for many years, suddenly stopped.

The SCOAN Sunday Service: Testimonies (August 16, 2026)

Mary later returned to The SCOAN for her own deliverance. After an evangelist prayed for her, she received healing from an ulcer. Testifying on Sunday, August 16, she said she can now eat anything and that peace has returned to her life. She also confirmed that the spirit of anger and nightmares are gone.

She advised the people: “Never a problem Jesus cannot solve,”

Family Idol Silenced, Marital Bliss Restored By God

Here is her testimony:

Modupeola had been under the yoke of a family idol, which usually manifested in the form of an old woman. According to her testimony, the idol had wreaked havoc in the family. Of the 12 children her mother gave birth to, only four were alive.

Modupeola also experienced various ailments, while her marriage was marked by constant conflict and a lack of affection. The situation continued until a friend introduced her and her husband to The SCOAN.

At the Prayer Line, an evangelist prayed for Modupeola. The evil spirit responsible for her problems manifested and was cast out in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Testifying on Sunday, August 16, Modupeola confirmed that peace had returned to her life and marriage. She said the nightmares, anger and sickness have disappeared.

Her husband also recalled the turbulence that had characterised their marriage before her deliverance. “Since her deliverance, things have changed for the better. Even me, I believe I also received deliverance because we are now living in happiness together. The love of good marriage has been restored,” he said.

The couple advised the people: “Come to God regardless of what they may be going through.”

Suzana’s Back Pain Ends At Christ’s Command

Here is her testimony:

Suzana from the United Kingdom had suffered from back pain since falling from a horse at the age of 13.

The condition became particularly severe during the last two years, affecting her ability to climb stairs, perform household chores and walk around her classroom as a teacher.

Diagnosed with walking difficulties due to a herniated disc, she relied heavily on a crutch, a lumbar corset, and her family’s assistance to move around.

Visiting The SCOAN, Suzana received prayer from an evangelist at the Prayer Line and experienced instant healing.

Testifying alongside her husband and children on Sunday, August 16, she shared that the difficulty that had troubled her for years was now a thing of the past.

Her husband also thanked God for his wife’s healing and testified to blessings in his football academy business, including the many trophies won by the academy. He attributed the breakthrough to prayers he had received during a previous visit to The SCOAN.

The couple advised the people: “Put your trust in God regardless of your circumstances.”

Holy Spirit Knocks Out Family Idol

Here is her testimony:

Beauty was born into a family of idol worshippers. Her father and mother had only boys and sought the help of a family idol to have a girl child. Her mother vowed to dedicate Beauty to the service of the idol.

As Beauty grew, she continued to participate in the family’s ritual traditions. She later became a successful businesswoman, dealing in meat. She became so rich that she built her own house and acquired several cars.

However, in 2009, her fortunes began to crumble. She became heavily indebted and visited several spiritual homes in search of a solution, but her situation worsened.

At one point, she contemplated suicide twice. She was also publicly embarrassed because of her indebtedness during a meeting with a traditional ruler concerning elections into a market union.

She had been considered for a vice-chairmanship position but was rejected by one of the members because she was indebted to many people. The situation became so severe that Beauty decided to sell her properties.

Her sister eventually convinced her to attend the 2026 SCOAN Living Water Service, after several failed attempts. During the service, Beauty ascended the Mountain of Prayer and rolled on it while asking God to deliver her from the spirit of indebtedness.

A New Beginning

She remained behind after the Living Water Service and attended the following Sunday Service, where she went to the Prayer Line. An evangelist ministered prayer to her, and the evil spirit associated with the family idol was exposed and expelled in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Testifying on Sunday, August 16, Beauty confirmed that she no longer depends on medication to sleep and that the frequent distressing phone calls she used to receive from creditors have stopped. She also recounted how financial insolvency had caused her to develop anger.

Her sister, Priscilla, corroborated Beauty’s account, recalling how their mother had gone deeper into idol worship in her quest for spiritual power. She also confirmed the extent of Beauty’s indebtedness and the disappearance of the spirit of anger following her deliverance.

She advised the people: “Anyone who is experiencing what I had experienced should run to God. Parents should stop dedicating their children to idols. They should bring them to God instead.”

SCOAN Sunday Service: Can God See His Word In You?

LISTEN TO THE SERMON TITLED: Can God See His Word In You?

Evangelist David took to the altar to minister God’s Word under the title “Can God See His Word In You?” with James 1:22-25 as his proof text. He challenged Christians to examine whether God’s Word has merely become something they hear every week or has actually become visible in their lives.

“This proof text is not giving an account of an unbeliever here. It is giving an account of a churchgoer who hears the Word of God every week, nods in agreement, cries during praise and worship, takes notes and changes nothing. He goes home the same way he came in. He thinks he is walking with God, yet his life remains unchanged,” he said.

Using the illustration of a man looking into a mirror and seeing things that need correction but walking away without doing anything, Evangelist David explained that hearing God’s Word without acting on it produces no transformation. He likened this to someone who repeatedly praises his master but ignores the master’s instructions.

“Sadly, we do the same thing with God. We can sing loudly, lift our hands, attend church every Sunday, read the Bible from Genesis to Revelation and call Jesus ‘Lord, Lord’ – yet continue to ignore His instructions in our daily lives.”

He challenged believers who constantly promise God that they will change, forgive, read His Word or abandon bad habits to ask themselves whether they are actually putting those promises into practice.

“Knowledge without obedience can deceive you. How? By thinking that because you listened to the Word, you have done the Word,” he said.

The True Test Of The Word

SCOAN Sunday Service: Can God See His Word In You?

Evangelist David explained that the true test of the Word comes when believers face the pressures of life.

“A glass can look strong while sitting quietly on a chair. Throw it against a hard surface and you discover what it is made of. Life sometimes throws things at us – failure, disappointment, delay, unanswered questions, betrayal, unexpected situations and these moments reveal whether God’s Word is merely in our ears or has entered our hearts.”

He stressed that being a doer of the Word does not mean that believers will never face storms. Rather, it means they possess a foundation capable of withstanding those storms. “The Word of God was not given merely to fill our heads with information; it was given to transform our lives,” he said. He urged believers to allow God’s Word to influence their decisions, attitudes, relationships, speech, friendships and daily lifestyles.

SCOAN Sunday Service: Can God See His Word In You?

Evangelist David further challenged worshippers to be doers of the Word even when nobody was watching, explaining that this is where true character is revealed. He encouraged believers to take small but meaningful steps of obedience, noting that one act of forgiveness can restore a relationship, while one decision to stop gossiping and spreading fake or unverified information can protect another person’s reputation.

He also reminded the congregation that the Bible functions like a mirror, showing believers areas that need change.

“If the Word is truly working in us, something should begin to show: More patience, love, self-control, humility, forgiveness, compassion, honesty, faith, obedience,” he said.

Conclusion: Demonstrate The Word

Concluding his message, Evangelist David challenged the congregation to demonstrate the Word through their daily lives:

“One day, we will not be asked how many sermons we listened to. We will not be asked how many Bible verses we could quote. The question is: ‘What did you do with what you read and listened to?’ You heard about love. Did you love? You heard about kindness. Were you kind? You heard about humility. Were you humble? You heard about the Word. Did you live the Word? Let the Word change you. Let it change how you speak, think, treat people, how you behave when nobody is watching, your character. Don’t be a hearer only; be a doer.”
