The Bible says knowing God is not only about seeing His miracles but also learning His ways. Humankind is designed to think, plan, and act with God. When you act with God, you will know God’s opinion about yourself and others. Are you acting with God? If not, it is not too late to start believing God’s Word. You must realize that God is not far from you.
In Exodus 3:2–4, the Bible says, “There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it didn’t burn up. So Moses thought, ‘I will go over and see this strange sight—why the bush does not burn up.’ When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!’ And Moses said, ‘Here I am.’”
People of God, we are called to God’s kind of lifestyle—a lifestyle of positive thinking, positive talking, and positive acting. When you follow this kind of lifestyle, nothing can change your mind about what you believe, and nothing can derail you from your focus. This is God’s standard. God is indeed a Spirit.
In Romans 4:17, He calls the things that are not as if they were, and they come to be. Communion with God springs from our union with Christ. Christ came to declare God to us. God is in His Word, and He does nothing without His Word because Christ and the Word are one. Jesus is the Word by whom God speaks to us today. I am in it, you are in it, and, most importantly, God is in it. Here, you meet God face to face.
We need to develop our relationship with the Holy Spirit by devotedly reading our Bible daily. The Bible is given to us in the first place simply to invite us to make ourselves at home in the Word of God and become more familiar with the way God speaks and the way in which we answer Him with our lives. The more you think about what you have read, the more you become familiar with His voice. This means it is not only about committing the Word to memory, which is actually valuable in itself. More importantly, we must make the Word an integral part of our lives.
The Word carries us beyond the realm of sense knowledge into the very presence of God, giving us the right standing there. There, we meet God face to face. If you give your attention to God, you are what God says you are, you have what God says you have, and you can do what God says you can do.
People of God, if you take God’s Word to heart and truly make it part of you, it will, by its very nature, change you. When the Word changes you, you will find yourself called to act—I mean, act with God.
Prayer: Lord Jesus, I give You my all. Come and make Your home in me and continue to lead me in the right path, in Jesus Christ’s name. Amen.
