The SCOAN Sunday Service: The SCOAN Choir
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, congregants started the service with the prayer of forgiveness and a request for divine enablement, aware that it was pointless trying to suppress the flesh by their own efforts.

Having received forgiveness, they asked the Lord to keep them in His precious sight. Then they went into the worship session, singing: “My Very Soul Shall Shout Hallelujah!” From song to song – some of them composed by Prophet TB Joshua – they called the attention of Heaven, filling the air with the wonder-working power of Jesus Christ.

By the time the worship hit its crescendo, many had been visibly impacted by the anointing, with the church declaring: “Worthy Is Your Name, Jesus/You Deserve Our Praise!”

The SCOAN Sunday Service Testimonies (September 14, 2025)

For Joy, It’s A Joyful Day Indeed!
I was a beneficiary of God’s power on May 25, 2025.

I had suffered a leg injury that was refusing to heal. On September 7, 2025, I came to The SCOAN for prayer, having exhausted my options.
For a long while I couldn’t do my household chores or attend to my business. It was my children who were assisting me in the house. Once I received prayer I felt instant relief.
Put your trust in God.

At Last, Anthony Is Freed From Drug Addiction!
When I returned to the country, a relative set me up in business. The business thrived for a while until I started to take drugs.
Despite receiving more help from relatives, I continued going downhill, setting a bad example to my younger siblings. Although many didn’t know what was wrong, I knew my problem was addiction.
To the glory of God, however, I met a woman who guided me to The SCOAN. Following prayer by an evangelist on September 7, 2025, I received my perfect deliverance in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Stop taking drugs – they will ruin your destiny and seek Jesus Christ.

The SCOAN Sunday Service: Love Is For All, Trust Is For God

Evangelist David’s message, titled “Love Is For All, Trust Is For God”, was yet another down-to-earth sermon from The Synagogue. Inspired by Micah 7:5-7, as well as by the exemplary life of Prophet TB Joshua, the message addressed a key attribute of guarded, cautious Christian living that places a premium on love but stays aware of the unreliability of human nature.

In penetrating words, Evangelist David noted that life can sometimes brutally show us that we could never be too certain about professed human loyalty. This is so, he said, because it is simply human nature to do as our flesh dictates; as such, a once-reliable person could end up disappointing the one who trusted them deeply.
Don’t Misplace Your Trust
Noting that no matter how good, kind or generous a person may be, they could never be the foundation of anyone’s hope, Evangelist David explained that believers are better off reposing their hope and trust in God than in any fellow human. Friends and family may fail us when our wealth or any other source of relevance vanishes, he further observed. He gave the example of Jesus, who did so much for the people of His day but still suffered significant mistreatment and betrayal from many of them.

He cited Psalm 146:3 and Matthew 26:33 before noting that a person’s downfall may in fact be plotted by those who applaud them publicly. Any Christian who has realised this problem, the preacher continued, would be better placed to deal with the inevitable disappointment from fellow humans.
Accordingly, quoting Prophet TB Joshua, he charged the congregation to cut down on their expectations from people while showing them love but trusting implicitly only in God. Other passages for the sermon were Jeremiah 17:9, John 2:24-25, Luke 6:35, Colossians 3:23 and Psalm 139:7-10.
In his closing words, Evangelist David asked the people to affirm: “I will love people but I will trust only God. I will help people but I will depend only on God. I will forgive people but I will anchor only on God.”
SCOAN Sunday Service Encouraging Word

“I greet you all in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ,” said Pastor Evelyn Joshua on joining the church.
Citing Lamentations 3:22-23, Pastor Evelyn Joshua looked towards the Throne Of Grace, declaring: “The faithfulness of the Lord never ceases. His mercy never comes to an end – they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness, O Lord! We have come this morning to give thanks to God – to thank Him for who He is: the Lord who fills the earth with life, love.
The universe is not big enough to contain the praise we have brought to God this morning or we are bringing to Him, for He alone deserves it. We want to thank God for all the days of our lives because we know He is always one step ahead of us, preparing our ways, healing our wounds and making provisions for us.
Father, accept all our thanks in the name of Jesus Christ. Receive glory in the name of Jesus Christ. The floodgate of Heaven will open and let Your healing power, deliverance power, blessing power, protective power rest upon us, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Pastor Evelyn Joshua

During The SCOAN Sunday Service Pastor Evelyn Joshua prayed: “Your confession will give you possession, victory, healing, blessing, in the name of Jesus Christ! Any affliction, disease that has touched your body – be washed off, in the name of Jesus Christ! Every tissue or organ in your body that has stopped functioning – we command it to begin to function perfectly, in the name of Jesus!”
The woman of God further prayed: “You are delivered, in the name of Jesus! Great is the peace of your children, in the name of Jesus Christ! We confess that you are the body of Christ! In death, God has given you eternal life! Every prayer you have uttered today – so shall it be, in the name of Jesus Christ!”
