The SCOAN Women of Grace General Meeting 2025 was a powerful gathering rooted in faith, celebrating spiritual growth, empowerment, and unity among women of God.
On the 26th of September, 2025, the Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) came alive with color, purpose, and divine strength as women from all walks of life gathered for the second edition of the Women of Grace General Meeting.
With the powerful theme “Rooted in Faith”, this year’s gathering was more than an event. It was a call to deeper purpose, community, and spiritual empowerment.
Led by the ever-inspiring Pastor Mrs. Evelyn T.B. Joshua, this edition built on the foundation of the maiden gathering in 2024, which saw nine women empowered to start their own journeys of transformation.
One year later, the seeds planted have grown, and the SCOAN Women of Grace movement continues to flourish, reaching wider communities and deeper hearts.
The Three Bands: Queens of Sheba, Deborah, and Esther
A unique feature of the SCOAN Women of Grace is its division into three symbolic bands:
- Queen of Sheba – representing wealth, wisdom, and the boldness to seek truth. Just as the Queen of Sheba brought gifts to Solomon, these women embody generosity and the pursuit of divine wisdom.
- Queen Deborah – representing leadership, courage, and prophetic authority. Deborah was a judge, prophet, songwriter, and warrior; this band draws inspiration from her multi-faceted strength.
- Queen Esther – representing sacrifice, advocacy, and bravery. Esther risked her life to save her people, reminding women of their power to intercede and stand in the gap.
Together, these three bands illustrate that every woman, no matter her walk of life carries unique gifts that can be used for God’s glory and for the good of her community.
SCOAN Women of Grace 2025 Pre-Event Activities
A Wellness Programme
The lead-up to the general meeting was marked by intentionality and impact. In the weeks preceding the event, the SCOAN Women of Grace launched a comprehensive wellness programme designed to educate, empower, and prepare the body as well as the spirit.
These sessions covered vital topics such as:
- Health talks on common but life-altering conditions like hypertension and diabetes.
- Body Mass Index (BMI) awareness, helping women understand the importance of healthy weight management and its long-term implications.
- Emergency response tips, equipping women with the knowledge of what to do in critical situations.
- Environmental hygiene, emphasizing the need for clean living spaces and their direct connection to health.
These teachings were not only informative but practical ensuring every woman walked away with actionable knowledge to apply in her personal life and community. It was a reminder that holistic empowerment includes spirit, soul, and body.
Outreach to Multibeniose Elderly Care Home
As part of its mission to extend grace beyond the church walls, the Women of Grace visited the Multibeniose Elderly Care Home, a touching highlight of the pre-event activities.
They came bearing gifts food items, clothing, and a generous donation of ₦1.5 million a demonstration of love, compassion, and support for the elderly who are often overlooked in society.
For many of the elderly residents, the visit was a refreshing reminder that they are seen, valued, and loved. Laughter, songs, and prayers filled the home as the women ministered not just through giving, but through genuine presence and companionship.
This visit was not just a charitable act but a reminder of one of the core values of the SCOAN Women of Grace: service to humanity as an expression of divine love.
Sports and Sisterhood: Team Strength vs. Team Dignity
Fellowship took a fun and active turn with a spirited sporting event, pitting Team Strength against Team Dignity teams graciously created by Pastor Mrs. Evelyn Joshua.
From handball to football, the women showcased not only athleticism but teamwork and encouragement. These moments of physical engagement symbolized the internal strength and resilience that women of faith are called to embody.
Beyond the goals and game points, what stood out was the joy on every face, the laughter shared, and the bonds built in sisterhood. In the words of one participant:
“It wasn’t about winning. It was about reminding ourselves that we are stronger together.”

A standout session on subsistence farming, themed ‘Get Busy,’ challenged women to take action—embracing agriculture not just to support their families, but to strengthen food security in their communities.
Attendees learned simple, replicable techniques that could be implemented in backyard gardens, emphasizing sustainability and financial independence.
SCOAN Women of Grace: Addressing Gender-Based Violence
Another powerful moment came through a deep and courageous session on gender-based and domestic violence. Facilitators tackled these difficult topics with compassion and clarity, giving women tools to:
- Recognize signs of abuse.
- Seek help in safe and confidential ways.
- Break the silence and empower others to do the same.
This session empowered them to break the silence, share their truths, and begin the journey of healing proving once again that SCOAN Women of Grace is a powerful space for transformation.
SCOAN Women of Grace: Bible Quiz and Drama Presentations
The general meeting also celebrated biblical literacy and creativity, as women engaged in a lively Bible quiz, testing their knowledge of Scripture in a fun and educational way.
Adding to the excitement was a drama presentation, beautifully illustrating the theme “Rooted in Faith.” The performance captured the journey of a woman facing trials but drawing strength from her faith, her sisters in Christ, and the grace of God. The audience responded with cheers, tears, and standing ovations.
SCOAN Women of Grace: A Growing Legacy
The maiden edition in 2024 laid a strong foundation, and this second edition has only built stronger pillars. With more voices heard and more lives touched, the Women of Grace initiative continues to be a force of transformation within and beyond the SCOAN community.
The testimony of growth, grace, and unity is evident and the movement is only just beginning. One participant summed it up beautifully:
“I came empty, but I am leaving filled with knowledge, with courage, and with a sisterhood I never knew I needed.”
