Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Believers are uncommon people; we are uncommon because the Word of God on our lips prevails over the law of nature. God’s Word, which is our standard, carries us into His very presence and we operate in the dimension in which He operates. God said, ‘Let there be light,’ and the whole universe came into being by His Word. Jesus is the Word by whom God speaks to us today. Jesus is the living Word. The Word is our contact with Jesus and the Word is His contact with us. He is with us in the Living Word.

A man can be a pastor by profession but not such in heart. When you accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you have the very presence of God in your heart through the Holy Spirit. Christ has no place in a life that is not dominated by the Word. Joshua 1:8 teaches us that dedication and discipline are the fruits of victory. Dedicate your heart to the Word. Your thoughts must reflect your belief. The words you speak must reflect your belief. Your actions must reflect your belief. That is the process of believing. We are made spiritual only when we live in the Word and the Word lives in us. Read the Word, yield to the Holy Spirit and you will be Christ-filled.
